I don't think the video lives up to the description, it's pretty much way off. But I do think this idea could look like it would work & possibly make it smell a little nicer so great idea! Or you could pop a detour bar of soap in & get that extra germ cleaning too!? Thanks for the idea!

I did this for a long time, it doesn't work for stubborn stains, but it prevents stubborn stains and deposits from the toilet bowl, and the same thing you said completely removes the smell of the toilet.

I don't think my eyes deceive me... this was filthy water in the toilet that got flushed, IT SHOULD look better without anything at all... and the top of that lid was filthy.... I think the soap would gunk it up. Bar soap gunks up my soap holder on the sink so It would do the same immersed in water. I just don't think this one works.
No there is no reason to make this so complicated. Much better ways to keep a toilet clean. I do recommend cleaning it top to bottom first. This toilet appears to never get cleaned properly.
