That's what you have editing for :P Just throw a separate audio recorder on the intercom, so you get a separate audio track.

Matt, get a fuel gauge installed. Jegs and Summit Racing should have a fuel sending unit and gauge set for that tank. Give her a look. If not, change out the fuel tank for a cell that has the capability to have a sending unit. She sounds good bud. Have fun!!

I don't know if the cell idea will work. Alot of the fuel tanks in these trucks are custom made to fit the chassis. But a fuel gauge would help him alot.

I’d load the truck a little more forward for tongue weight on the trailer because the truck is mid engine and the engine was slightly behind the back axle

The sound on that V8, awesomeness! A request would be if you could do an uninterrupted video of a 5-10 min. run. Do a few split views (engine, suspension, wheels, front, side etc) but keep the engine sound uninterrupted, no music or shit like that, just the pure music of that V8 :-)

Matt I also agree about cameras making everything look flat because I used to film out west and do some crazy canyon hill climbs and a 70 degree canyon would look like a slight hill....

also the shock without a spring is called a shock/bypass and the shock with a spring is called a coilover

KOH, 2007 iirc. been watching since 2010, best motorsport event out there aside from isle of man and pikes peak imo. oh and in the future, id also recommend not wheeling alone. if anything happens it helps to have another person there, also someone experienced so you can start learning how to pick lines and such.

Go to chokecherry canyon in Farmington, NM great trails, sandstone cliffs and extreme climbing. You will love it there is jeeping club there. They have competitions there also. Another place you would like is Moab, Utah.

Please be "ultra" careful. You have a loving family who wants you home in one piece!

You should put a metal cage on the holes for the doors, and design them so they have a ladder, it'll make it much easier to get in and will even make you safer in the vehicle.

My jeep is well built and bigger than the average jeep and the ultra 4 makes it look like a toy. In a way it is too since the ultra 4 is a 100% purpose built rig to eat the nastiest terrain up like nothing.

Didn't know to much about these rigs becore Matt showed this one and was surprised how much cheaper they are used than the Baja style Trophy Trucks he mentioned! About 10-15%!

I want this kind of vehicle as a normal one with retrofits of a truck: ac/heater, blinkers, stereo/radio with auxiliary cord capability, usb ports, and a few other things. This would be a perfect all-in-one truck.

Thats not entirely true....most koh racers run about 22 lbs in the front and 20 in the rear. Now, if you are crawling and just crawling. You want to run about 3 to 4lbs

Two straps in an "X" pattern on the front and rear axles vs the chassis. Not only is is better/safer to secure the rig, but also better on the suspension. Look into axle straps.

To give reference of angle: a half blottle of water standing on the ground camera straight up and down

he needs to get the mic adapter from gopro. either his intercom has an out or it can go inline with the helmet.

with such a long range soft suspension tie down around the axles, so that a bump that moves the trailer move up and the body of the car moves down, working the straps LOOSE and TIGHT, a waiting a FAILURE. also you could strap over the tires. Tow truck flat beds have special straps to go over the tires.

Matt never let go of the throttle when you get wheel lift!! always just maintain a constant throttle

Make sure you have your parking brake set on the raptor if you are going to load it with know ramps... you will snap the parking pin in your transmission.
