That's a bad ass race between those mustangs and vettes much respect, I love anything from Texas and no matter what. They all bad ass and fast cars. Damn the black mustang and the red Zr1 in the end was super fast.

Max effort ZR1 was very fast. Considering how much more efficient a set of twin turbos are on a coyote, ZR1 is also manual.. damn. Good ass runs though StreetScienceTX!

I redline at 7200rpm. N top out at 172mph. In 4th We raced from 65, from 3rd gear. To top of 4th. The guy I raced. Knows I don’t brake early. N everyone in my city knows I run 4th gear all the way out

You do know that top of 5th in that zr1 is probably well over 200mph. I've been 190 in my ls3 c6 it's sketchy as hell at those speeds.

@@mattd19902010 As noted by the drivers own comments above, he's running to the top of 4th not 5th. Having owned a built C6Z and C5 FRC cars I know the gearing well. As for sketchy, thats a tire and suspension issue. Drag radials and trying to run those high ends speeds will be sketchy. I've always run Toyo R888R tires for my builds. Solid traction for dig runs, excellent high speed stability and amazing handling for the backroads/road course life.

These Coyotes are obviously more than 1000 hp to hang with corvettes like that.

Shouldn’t be those zr1 need to blower swap. Those 2.3 blowers don’t pull like a Ysi , f1x or f194a up top. Amp vettes beat twin turbo 5.0s all the time in Texas and here in Maryland. A max effort zr1 is making 900 whp max blower only while a twin turbo 5.0 can be making 1000-1300+ wheel depending on fueling and bottom end. They need at least a Maggie 2650 ported or a big centrifugal which is the best set up for a roll racing vette outside of a big turbo.

@@440iife4 it was actually a T56 car, not a A10. That was my bad. So it was stick shift vs stick shift And 4000+ lbs mustang(probably more with the passenger) gapping a sub 3500lbs vette making similar power, plenty to be proud of. Coyotes run the streets, cry more.
