The fact that after all this time, we can still enjoy full power branded in the tcg is mind-blowing to me! Everyone and their Grandmother's dog predicted Branded Fusion to be hit on the very first banlist after its release! But here we are, nearly 2 years after Albaz strike, still playing 3 offs of one of the most powerful fusion cards ever printed. And as a casual player, I'm loving it!

Ok so hear me out, I have been playing that fusion despian for a while, but also because I tend to play a single tech card in my main deck as well. If you add 1 Tearlaments Scheiren to the main deck, you can use her on branded fusion for follow up plays after first turn combo. You sent her off branded fusion and you now have both a lubellion and her activating to fusion summon, lubellion can make your regular monsters, but Scheiren can make either dragostapelia or Despian Proskenion, and you get 2 fusions off 1 branded fusion, and strong ones at it.

I played Ashen in the Despia Syncro build, it is sneaky late game finisher as well with the ATK gain

so happy to see Prosekenion and Ashen. I was recently testing both.

I remember having discussions about cards like ashen and mysterion. Good to see others sharing the same thoughts about them.

Ngl i been playing ashen and golden swordsoul together for a while now at my locals, ashen had always been my discard target before quem but now that we have her it just works so well to dump if we have everything we need, and GS can revive her or cartesia if any monster gets banished. Proskenion was a card i used to play a while ago but ended up just running it in my dogmatika deck, but recently ive been missing it in the branded build

As an OCG branded player and always looking up for TCG ideas. This is a good list and good idea.

I’ve said it before, this deck is prob the most consistent deck in the format, it’s been around for years now and continues to be a powerful option. At this point, it’s around to keep tabs on overpowered decks

Branded despia has so many directions it can go. Fire Kings isn't really flexible, it just does what it does well

I picked up 3 albaz the ashen a while back cause they were only $0.25 a piece and it seemed like a potentially good tech card in a 60 pile branded despia.

Majespecter is also a good meta counter most of the main deck monsters already have targeting and destruction protection

Master duel has a list with ashen running around. It’s been around an about 8 months or so. It’s a deck with 3 of it and focuses on maintaining its presence. I thought it was interesting then and it’s interesting now. I picked up a set about 3 months ago.

No gimmick puppet means that we seriously believe branded is good this format! I love the build the one thing I would change is fit quaeritis somehow to get a free fusion when they out it

Playing thrust and playing at 50 i would add also one branded banishment, it's a searchable super polymerization

I've been playtesting vs fk with a friend, and branded is insane: - any fire king monter can turn into rindbrum(also making their xyz awkwardto summon) - guardian chimera can pop both the island and the sanctuary so they don't get to protect the island - super poly is nice against fk - mirrorjade banish on garunix can stop their grind game to a halt - mirrorjade board wipe also pretty good vs theme, since they don't have a way to bounce him - the xyz can be countered by branded opening gy eff And many other things.

If Sancturary and Island would both be destroyed at the same time, you can still apply the protection effect to Island, but Santuary will still be destroyed

Yea a good fire king player will play through that all. A: Rindbrum is annoying but can be dealt with so not that bad B: Sanctuary still protects C: super nice against fire king but snake-eyes stuff just continues through D: mirrojade banish garunix does stop the grind game.. if you only play 1 (which is why you MANDATORY have to play 2, but TCG players will eventually figure it out) E: Mirrojade board wipe will trigger fire king cards so more a disservice than a benefit F: fire king snake-eye doesn’t need the XYZ to win the game, some lists aren’t even playing it.

@@AndrewUdal A: any card in the game can be dealt with somehow. But being annoying and not drawing some easy out could easily be enough to win games. B: yeah, I didn't know that, but I looked it up now. C: Doesn't continue through if you choose the right time to do it. Also, since I forgot to mention, the snake-eye variant hard loses to droll, which in turn will be in every main deck, and branded plays through droll without problems (let's not discuss ash; for some reason people still thing that branded loses to ash, so they side that in insteaed of board breakers, and I always beat them without resolving branded fusion). D: You can use mirrorjade more than once (quem, ad lib, making a second copy). E: Since mirrorjade board wipe resolves in end phase, it is often the case that they already did their once-per-turn stuff. Either way, a board wipe is a board wipe, fk is not really as sticky as unchained. F: I agree. But Branded Opening stops your opponent from poping your fusions with Promethean Princess/Kirin too. Rindbrumm is also op vs Princess.

@@mirceadolineanu9715 fair points, let me be more specific: A: Flamberge outs Rindbrum without needing to go into extra deck C: we can hold original sinful spoils snake-eyes till you super poly and then just play fire king side since you’ll have to eventually do it or we otk C 1/2: In like 10 test hands I hand like 1-2 hands that lost to droll, the deck with snake-eyes 100% doesn’t lose to droll. It only loses to droll if you deck build wrong or sequence cards incorrectly, but a single snake-eye ash plays through droll, so does populus, and sanctuary, and island, and wanted, and diabellstar. There’s like 16 starters that play through droll and end on 4+ disruption or otk. You need more than just droll to stop the deck. D: True, but the chances of fk not opening a hand trap is low, and it’s not exactly easy to pull a double mirrojade off, I’ve played branded for years and unless your hand is cracked you don’t always see a way to bringing it back. For example, Quem can be removed before it gets a chance to bring back mirrojade, ad lib doesn’t come up enough without a good hand since you’d rather add quem. E: True, but again, flamberge can just put to Spell/trap zone so not exactly that big of a threat.

What about a more fairy focused branded build using herald of orange light in a 40-42 slim build?

Trying Albaz Ashen and Mysterion in master duel and so far its fine with me!

What a interesting Decklist! What do you think about Nadir Servant and Dogmatika Maximus with in the mix? Couldn't it be usefull in certain matchups to limit the opponents ressources?

too many decks rn have cards that want to be sent to grave so you dont want to risk making the opponent go plus with your nadir

I was trying to make a Fire King deck but I quickly gave up on that when I saw the prices of the Diabellstar engine. Then I decided to go into Branded because I like the consistency and the different lines of play. I think people are getting so hype for FKs that they’re forgetting the other meta decks, and I think Branded Despia is one of those that’s still strong due to not being nerfed by the ban list (yet). All I need are some singles here and there and I’ll be ready for locals!

I played Branded first and recently wanted to make a Fire King deck. Now I have like a half finished FK deck because I didn't know the cards would turn out so expensive. Maybe I'll make a budget Tri Brigade version out of it

Branded doesn’t lose to droll as long as you have branded fusion. Missing an add with lost and not having chimera on your turn isn’t a huge problem. Just adapt for droll and BF is still best card ❤️

Same. In my experience anything above 45 starts to get really awkward, especially with side decking.

Branded will never die if they make more lore still waiting for the final true Albion form

In all honesty this version is more than satisfactory for lab. The biggest counter to us is big welcome bounce mirrorjade (since mirrorjade is the biggest counter to lab) and with ashen and mud this stops that

I hate the build. But somehow i can see it winning though 😂

It continues to confuse me as to why the ocg is so scared of full powered branded, im fairly certain that there are far more consistent decks that can beat it

@@godlike5791if you look at topping lists in the ocg (which will more than likely transfer over to tcg) the deck is better categorized as a snake eye deck with a small fire king engine.
