My idea for a map. You know the second level of the first Halo game? After Crash landing Chief walks across that huge bridge? Maybe that could be it. The thing on this map[ is that Covenant dropships randomly attack and on rare occasions a flood out break happens. Plus the map would line up perfectly with the ring

I was also thinking this in the last level, when the pelican is being shot down by the pursuing banshees. That bridge would be a similar situation, hell, you could also have sentinels attacking when the flood show up.

this is a really solid take on a move set and good editing man

I think another good idea for a final smash would be the "Give the Covenant back their bomb" scene, similar to Ridley's final smash where hs dashes, and then it plays a cutscene. Great video btw!

I can see it. The last fighter in the fighter pass, Mario and company are fighting Dharkon, everyone is defeated. Then the screen blacks out and you hear Cortana say: "Chief, they need you". The reveal would be "Master Chief: finishes the fight!"

This would be awesome! Chief deserves a spot as one of gaming's biggest legends. Not only reinventing the FPS genre but bringing Online to consoles. Steve is cool and I hope he gets in one day too but Chief should get in first. Amazing video. It just feels like a perfect moveset. I can't wait to see what you do next!

@@StarWritterSW While I would fucking adore Doom Slayer. Id has already said that Nintendo has not talked to them about it and they would have to tone down the violence so much that it wouldn't really feel like Doom Slayer. Definitely my second choice though.

the best master chief in smash video ive seen! If MC gets to finish the figth in smash it would only mean we are in the right timeline.

I love this video. A lot. Not even a chief supporter, I'm more of a doom guy (pun intended), but this is just too good

For the throws, just look at DOA4. It has Nicole 458. She can be inspiration for throws since, lets be real here, has been ignore for way too long. Can't believe it's been 15 years since her debut.

I love the mix of the Bungie moves and 343 moves. Your channel has alot of potential and I can't wait see more from you.

I always felt like the Chief would never fit the Smash Bros. feel due to the sheer grittiness of Halo (though I have to point out I've never played a Halo game). I'm still not completely sold on it, but I did enjoy seeing this very entertaining, well-produced take on how you'd imagine it going down as a Halo fan. After seeing this, I think I'd be considerably less turned off if it actually happened.

Now that chief has a grappling hook, the recovery would probably be more like an aimable version of joker's up B

I would also add Chief's shield as a brand new unique mechanic for him. Basically when it's filled he'll take half the incoming damage, if it's empty he'll take twice the incoming damage. It recharges by either waiting for it or for a faster way, by punching enemies to incentivize and reward a more "aggressive" playstyle. One more thing is for the ammo part I'd also add that enemies will also drop ammo when damaged enough to further incentivize and reward an aggressive playstyle.

This video is so high quality holy shit please stick with KZread, it'll take forever but I'm pretty sure you'll eventually get a good following.

Hey thanks. Full disclosure, I saw your video with Lockstin when it first came out and it was a good take, but I was confused as to why you didn't have grenades as a major part of his gameplan. Part of why I made this video was because I was shocked I'd never seen someone focus on gun/grenade/melee synergy for a Chief moveset. So that thought was in the back of my mind until I decided to make this. Then when I was making this video, I was trying to go in blind, so I didn't see your updated take on the moveset until after I published it. And, of course, you fixed my grenade quibble. If I'd known that I probably wouldn't have made this video to begin with. I swear any similarities post-Lockstin video are coincidental. I'll update the description to give you guys a shoutout. But in any case, thanks. You're doing good work for the Chief and this video/channel probably doesn't exist without that groundwork. Side note: Can I ask why you went with the Spartan Laser as one of his main weapons? To anyone else reading this I highly recommend that you check out Skoopa's channel. Skoopa has been one of the biggest and best voices for Master Chief in Smash speculation and has actual 3D animation to support his stuff.

I have always wanted master chief in smash and you described him perfectly. Until now I had no idea what his move set would be but you flawlessly described him. God damn everything you said is perfect.

Great start of starting off your channel.

Chief’s up tilt should be him punching the ground (like he tried to do in his fight with Locke) and his grab should be the grappleshot, but when the grappleshot is on cooldown, then he grabs you with his hand. And I personally think (most of) Chief’s skins should be his different armors from the games, with each one having a unique spawn animation and its portrait based off of the game covers. The list of skins should go be: #1/Default: Mjölnir Mark VI GEN3 (Halo: Infinite) - This skin will be Chief’s default just how Link’s is his BotW appearance. Also, after Chief activates his Final Smash, The Arbiter and the Warthog will be swapped out for a Razorback/Warthog Troop Transport full of Halo Infinite Marines with power weapons, with said weapons randomizing each time Chief uses his FS. Chief’s taunt with Cortana will be slightly altered with Cortana being swapped out for The Weapon and Chief’s spawn animations will include a Pelican drop off from Echo 216, exiting the Endless’ portal (as shown after The Harbinger boss fight), and slamming into the ground from above (as shown from the Xbox Power Your Dreams commercial). #2: Mjölnir Mark VI GEN1 (Halo 2/3) - This will follow most of the features shown in the video with a few changes/additions. For additional intro animations, I would add a drop pod entry (based off of the Delta Halo cutscene), crash landing (from the beginning of Halo 3, and crashing and ditching the Warthog (like after the Warthog run at the end of Halo 3). #3 Mjölnir Mark V GEN1 (Halo Reach and CE) - for this skin, Chief’s intros will include the Pelican drop off from Echo 419, waking up from cryo (like on the Pillar of Autumn), and crashing/ditching a Banshee (as shown on The Maw). #4 Mjölnir Mark VI MOD GEN1 (Halo 4) - Chief’s intros will include crash landing (as shown on Requiem), ditching/crashing a Ghost after leaving a portal (as shown at the end of Forerunner, waking up from cryo (but this time pulling the manual release as shown on Dawn), and crashing/ditching his Broadsword (based off of the end of the vehicle segment on Midnight). Cortana will occasionally be shown to be rampant as well. #5 Mjölnir Mark VI MOD GEN2 (Halo 5: Guardians) - I got a little lazy, so it’s up to you to fill in the blanks for any changes for this appearance. #6 Chief’s appearance from the Halo 5 teaser trailer - Basically a copy and paste of his Halo 5 appearance but reskinned. #7 Mjölnir Mark IV (Halo: Forward Unto Dawn/Halo Legends: The Package) - One of Chief’s unique intros locked to this skin will be the abandonment of his Booster Frame so he can get his boots on the ground. His Final Smash will again be reskinned, this time, when the fighters are blasted by the Spartan Laser, they are then thrown and stuck on a Covenant ship next to the hangar, and during this FS, Chief will unload all his weapons on his Booster Frame onto his victims before ditching the frame and letting it crash into them. And when Chief gets stunned after his shield breaks, the no shield warning sound effect will be replaced with the critical health warning sound effect from Halo 3: ODST, as Mjölnir Mark IV’s didn’t have standard issue shields (and Chief’s shield bar will be replaced with just a recharging CE health bar). These changes will not alter his gameplay mechanics. #8 Mjölnir Mark VI? (Paramount’s 2022 Halo TV Show) - This is an extra bonus skin I decided to throw in. You can fill in the blanks if you want. #9 Spartan 1337’s Mjölnir Mark VI (Halo Legends: Odd One Out) - Chief’s voice will be swapped for 1337’s, and the same will go for his intro animation and taunts, with his intro animation being him falling from his Pelican and his Cortana taunt will be swapped with him saying “NO, DON’T LEAVE ME!” #10 Mister Chief - Feel free to fill in the blanks for me when it cones to aesthetic changes. Master Chief’s death sounds (excluding 1337 and Mister Chief) will be ripped from the games, with a few notable one that play such as: “This fight. Is finished.” (Halo: Reach Firefight Voice) -This will occasionally play when Chief dies in. “YAHOOHOOHOOHOO!!!!” (Halo 2) - This will play when Chief gets KO’d (Knocked Out) and goes flying in the background. “WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA!!!!!” (Halo 2) - This again will play when Chief gets KO’d.

This video was great. I got tired of seeing other Master Chief moveset ideas basically turn him into a heavier Snake and in turn making him just another generic fighter. I appreciate how you not only included not only the shooting aspect of Halo, but also the resource management side of the games as well by needing to keep an eye on your reserve ammo and grenades. Well done! I doubt we'll get Chief, considering we already have two Microsoft reps now with Steve in the mix, but this was an enjoyable chance to imagine, and just have some fun, so thank you.

I appriiate that, of all things, the b-roll background footage is of the cancelled Halo-Kreo game. Also, I think it would be cool if his final smash had a rare variation where the animation was instead, the enemy fighter waking up on a strange battlefield and looking up to see a scorpion aiming right at them, before being shot by said scorpion and shot in the same way... because lord knows thats the only way I get kills when playing with my friends..... im not good at Halo...

This was a fantastic production that deserves more recognition. I can tell you don't have all the fancy KZreadr bells and whistles, but even with your mic and editing software, your humor was witty, your editing was clever, your points well constructed and naturally flowing, and as a whole this video was a 10/10. Be proud of yourself for an awesome job, man.

@@TheDukeofDorks The reason why Samus and Megaman feel under powered in Smash is because Smash is not a projectile friendly game. So Zoner characters are hard to balance.

If master chief gets in I think some Mii Costumes could be Conker or Doom Slayer. Obiviously both aren’t gonna get in smash so it’d be cool if they were Mii costumes

Fantastic moveset. Cool, simple gimmick that represents the series' gameplay perfectly.

The best part about chief is that everything that he is known for using not only the environment, but his enemy's arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and equipment. For his recovery it could be a jetpack, gravity lift from Halo 3, or he could use a gravity hammer because in-game that hammer actually does give you a bit of a boost. There's so much at his disposal that it's super easy to come up with his moveset.

8 months old, yet I absolutely love the concept of this moveset! So many ideas go by, but this is one feels strongly accurate. 👌 P.S.: I saw what you did with the color alts.

I’m positive that MasterChief will be in smash one day but I think as cool as all this is, its more likely that he will just have each weapon be a move.

I was thinking with down b he could drop a bubble shield that deflects all projectiles. If you press B alone he can switch to randomly rolled gun or melee weapon similar to hero then if you hold the shield button and hold B you will begin to reload similar to inkling.

Really strong start, this channel will do great man! Master Chief is one of the characters I really want as well. Also noticed the small Touhou cameo, possible Reimu video in the future? (Now a bullet hell will be really hard to represent!)

I would reconsider Master Chief's weight category and movement into yes something like Samus, but much more boots on the ground. Supply pods can be called once every 5 seconds but hold a gun only 40 seconds or so, empty supply pods drop slower and deal normal damage while pods with a gun drop fast and deal heavy damage, a powerful ledge guard at the cost of potentially remaining without a neutral special and up air. Grenades are found inside of drop pods both with and without guns, his side special without grenades is simply a punch. I disagree in giving Master Chief spare magazines, or at least in some weapons, but his pistol can just have infinite ammo when running out with his current equippable, also if he runs out of ammo and hasn't swapped out to his pistol yet he can throw his currently equipped gun.

It would be cool if Master Chief fully charged plasma pistol stopped Wario's bike like the way it stops vehicles in the Halo games

Lots of neat ideas, but I see one glaring problem. Master chief shouldn’t have access to covenant weapons with his move set. Instead, they should be added to the random item list. Instead of the plasma pistol and needler, you should have the shotgun and battle rifle. There should also be more equipment at his disposal than just the gravity lift, like the bubble shield and trip mine.

There's no reason for Nintendo even consider it, given all Franchises represented have at least one entry, even if it's a spin-off, on their library, especially Halo being the main IP of a rival

you could have Doom Guy be an echo fighter but instead of the pod swapping his weapons a Hell portal opens at the start of the match and computer controlled demons spawn in and attack anyone on the stage. when a demon dies it drops ammo, or maybe you have to hit someone with your chainsaw to get ammo.

Smash has gone from a lineup of Nintendo’s mascots to a hub of iconic video game characters. Chief belongs on that roster is Microsoft is acting buddy buddy with Nintendo.

Master Chief in smash may not be something the Nintendo community wants, but it’s something I really want badly. Kirby and Master Chief are my two favorite video game characters. Having them two fight side by side would be amazing. I know they don’t really go together, but neither do Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal and people had Doom slayer and Isabelle fighting side by side.

Do you think you could do a moveset for perhaps Heavy from TF2 or better yet, the Gungeoneers from EtG (quite possibly the most pop-culture-laden game ever)? Also holy SHIT my dude your animation style is incredible! It's crisp but not too cartoony, gets the point across beautifully, and is just overall visually pleasing. If you made posters of these movesets (your Waluigi one is really good btw) I would buy them in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work, I subbed after the Waluigi vid and I'm sad I can't do so more than once.
