Zac’s opinions are understandable but Hybrid & Infamous do have a point though. Sinnoh is one of the most popular regions so putting it in the lowest is too much even if the flaws are noticeable, B tier should be the right place for both DP & BDSP ✌🏻

S - A Tier: "Perfect, nothing wrong here." B - D Tier: _"What the hell is this..."_ Love how I either completely utterly agree with the tiers, or completely disagree with others, what a tier list.

Hoo man, I knew this was gonna be funny, but I was legit in tears (of laughter to clarify) by you guys arguing. And Infamous cutting off at one point in the middle of talking. I was in shambles.

But Platinum literally is THAT much better than DP. Diamond and Pearl seem like they struggle to even run on the DS. And in DP there are small pauses in between animations that make the game play slower that are not in Platinum. Platinum is the definition of ENHANCED version.

Something nobody pointed out about Crystal was it introduced the odd egg and expanded the Pokémon availability, Johto is notorious for having a very bland selection of Pokémon and a lot of the cool and strong Johto Pokémon are literally stuck in the postgame in Kanto but Crystal did a good bit to remedy this. Let’s Go Pikachu did something similar and greatly expanded the variety of Pokémon in Kanto. Also Emerald in A was a big miss, Emerald is one of the few truly S tier games. This is my personal tier list: S: LA, Emerald, Platinum, ORAS, HGSS, BW2 A: BW, FRLG, Crystal, LGPE B: RS, BDSP, XY, USUM, SwSh C: Yellow, GS, SM D: RBG, DP I personally don’t get the LGPE hate. It’s the most diverse version of Kanto, it’s very charming and graphically appealing, they are at least before SV, the best looking Pokémon games easily.

You’ll have to elaborate more on the “expanded variety in Kanto” because how I see it, not really. Unless your adding Megas & Alolan forms then that’s not really diverse because on the end it’s just a different variation of Kanto Pokémon. When you say variety I’m thinking like other Gen mons in game that was not accessible from previous games. In LGPE your still stuck with the original 151.

@@TylenOneal239 no, I’m talking about more Pokémon being available in more routes. Like Bellsprout, Oddish, and Bulbasaur being available sooner, Mr. Mine and Chansey, Snorlax, etc.

The overall tier list (the one made on stream) was pretty spot on with how I feel. Except I really do believe nothing belongs on D tier. Which is why I think the let's go games should be next to pokémon yellow. I also like Sun & Moon just as much as USUM so I'd put them both in A. My personal opinion. A minor change and to me it be perfect. Very nice debating back and forth

This is the one tier list that is genuinely the most accurate. I actually do think Black and White are A tier purely on the level scaling alone, but outside of that I'm very happy with this list.

I'd love a Pokémon gen 1+2 game where you start in kanto do it's gyms then move over to johto and go through it's gyms too to qualify for their shared league. Have time passed so we can see character dynamics move forward, IE Clair maturing and replacing lance.

I would personally put USUM in S tier and SM in A. SM really focuses on the story and you can tell gamefreak really tried to deliver. I would argue they have the best in the main series. USUM: The hardest games in the main line series. The only games you can get other box art legendaries legally before the league (also mewtwo). Mantine surfing for BP or to get between islands side quests increased shiny odds Bottle caps for IV training First definitive editions to include new pokemon for the first time Arguably the best dex in the series not only being able to get all 18 types on the first island but also a fully evolved psuedo Battle tree as well as battle agencies The only games to have 2 major gimmicks (Z-moves & megas)

Unova games deserve their place in S tier. All four are amazing and far better than the anime based on them. Basically the inverse with X and Y where the anime succeeded while the games left a bit to be desired BDSP, I actually enjoyed for the most part. It had its flaws but at least grinding and HMs weren't a hindrance and the Grand Underground let you get certain Pokemon sooner and easier

While Let's Go having the best aesthetic in Modern Pokemon may be a statement I agree with, the reason its true is because all the other games just look incredibly underwhelming. Swsh's graphics appears like a half baked early 2010s ps3 indie title and BDSP somehow looks worse than its decade old original version its trying to emulate and it's so sad.

There’s more than 10 Pokémon that BW have similarities from Pokémon gen 1. The bull Pokémon, the pink healer Pokémon, the taper psychic Pokémon, the tadpole to frog Pokémon, the pollution Pokémon. Come on man.

I just started playing Let’s Go for the first time in July 2022 after playing BDSP and LA and I can say it’s not as bad as anybody makes it out to be. Actually very nice and refreshing.

Now let’s talk about mind control

It would be fun if you do Box Art Legendaries Tier List or Starters Tier List. I think it would be amusing to watch. For me, I am just biased for Hoenn because Emerald is my first game. I never played RS tho 😂

In my opinion the best pokemon game is 100% the gen 6 games! They added so much features and you Can tell it was made with love and care! Best games on DS! Could list so many reasons!

Platinum was the best for me

Putting platinum in S whilst diamond and pearl sit in D Is straight clowning!! How you can think they are that vastly different is absurd to me personally and I can't help but think it's not even a subjectively absurd statement but an objectively absurd one! Personally I hate the region and Dex but the physical special split is so important that it warrants significant acknowledgement and respect. Many Pokémon were unusable until it came around and made them viable options.

1A and 1B are Platinum and BW2 but unpopular opinion USUM is behind them at 3. I’ve always preferred gameplay over story in a Pokémon mainline game and USUM has it spades, this game is so much fun and hard to nuzlocke. In the wela volcano I got screwed over by magby fire spin and it sos called a magmar. Only mainline Pokémon game where i had to always be vigilant if im nuzlocking it

Attack on Titan is fantastic! I also wasn't a fan of the ending but I don't think it's worth mentioning in a recommendation.

I would think at the very least USUM should be in the same tier as SM just for replay value but thats my opinion anyways, other than that this was a good solid list. Personally for me USUM is my all time favorite right next to B2W2.

For black and white I just don’t like the level for when some Pokémon evolve. A lot of Pokémon evolve at level 50 dude

I have never used the the popular gen 4 team and instead used torterra, krickitune, golduck, onix, blaziken, and the garchomp slayer limber ditto who tanked two dragon claws to one shot her chomp

I don't really think it matters if the villain carries Season 1 of Korra or not. It's a good season. Especially with Season 1's plot, the villain needs to be pretty good to justify what's going on.

Pretty good overall take on the series, really hope Scarlet and Violet are good

Nah DP should’ve stayed in D Tier and Pt at B tier. Like there are so many things I have against it, but they said it best. The game is slow and not fun to play

What am I the only one who like pokemon let's go I agree whit Zac

the way I grade how a game feels is 70% gym 1 to 4; because if the beginning is slow and limited (pokemon and viability of pokemon) then I won't want to play it. 20% gym 5 to 8 and then 10% post game.

Hybrid. You can't say x and y is boring with one of the best regional dex.

It's pure coincidence that during the release of B/W my parents went full religion mode. They claimed Pokémon was witch craft and of the devil . I had to throw away all my games, plushes and cards. I was so hyped for Gen 5 but because of one change in my parents I didn't play pokemon for the next 6 yrs until I was 18. Finally going back and playing those games, I can't imagine why they're the lowest selling pokemon games, because they're amazing. Was there some general poké fatigue?

Probably didn’t effect sales too much but the DS at the time of BW being release was very very easy too pirate. Anyone could buy an R4 at Walmart for like $20 and practically own ever game on the system where I was from this was common knowledge at school. Also People didn’t like the new Pokémon and those games only having the new Pokémon available didn’t help either.

I remember when I was little kid back in the late 90s, all the parents were making a big deal because they thought pokemon was the devil's work. I didn't think in 2010/2011 they'd still be on that, I'd figure parents would've moved on to some other game to complain about like GTA or COD.

Spy x Family was cool at first but I can't really get with wholesome anime...It was cute, funny, and all that at first. I'm 5 episodes in and I'm ready for more action.

I will say one thing of you say that Pokémon black and white were S tier in 2014 you would have gotten laughed out of a room. NOBODY LIKED THIS GAME WHEN IT CAME OUT

Least the games had better reception than the unova anime

For some reason, I just despised USUM. I think part of it had to do with SM burnout because I had played SM around 4 times before USUM but for real nothing was hitting. The game just felt so neutered. Granted I haven't played the game since I first ran though so maybe I'm missing something special. I'm planning on doing a Nuzlocke in the near future so maybe my thoughts could change. I just know I'm not giving the story another try. That straight Tauros dukey right there.

Yeah they kinda hinder the story a bit/lot in USUM but everything else I do enjoy a lot about that game. Mantine surfing was hella fun,Riding in the Ultra Wormhole and finding potential (shiny) legandaries and is by far challenge wise in Pokemon battles (mostly Ultra Necrozma). Its 1 of my personal favorite Pokemon game next to B2W2.

Korra needed longer seasons really.

Don't place Sword and Sheild low with one of the reasons being limited timer on PVP. That literally only harms competitive play imo. Pokemon has never sold on amazing pvp and I think that it never should. The more streamlined the pvp, but keeping all battle formats, the better. Pokemon pvp is funner when it's just quick, fun matches imo.

The timer limit is terrible, it forces players to abandon certain battle styles and anything that takes options from battling is bad.

I agree with JPR about Gen 3. In my opinion Hoenn is a much better region than Sinnoh, at least isn't slow. Also Ruby and Sapphire are a much better base game than Diamond and Pearl. One more thing: BDSP is a much worse game than LPLE and although Let's go has controversial decisions, at least it was more consistent with its own ideas, whereas BDSP don't know if want to be a faithful remake or not, to be difficult or easy, to have the fairy type but not to include any Pokémon past Gen 4, if wanted to add Platinum content but made the absolute minimum, add some modern pokemon changes and quality of life but exclude others (+ worse graphics and following pokémon).

I agree that if you put platinum as s then dp then is b minimal. Platinum has lots of improvements but at the end its still just 70% dp. The upgraded living Dex and post game is really the only huge improvement. dp does have lots of flaws like it running slow, bad living Dex,hms and hardly any post game but some of these flaws are still present in other non enhanced Pokemon games. I noticed lots of first version have pretty bad post games and gen 3 also had a bad living Dex, infact you couldn't get all the Pokemon in gen 3 until fire red and leaf green came out. I think what makes dp fun is sinnioh is just a good map to explore, good Pokemon designs and I actually like the pacing of the story, the story didn't feel like it was trying to rush you to the finish, it actually felt like a long story from star lt to finish. Dp are overall better games then ruby. I think people really just need to ingore platinum and enhanced versions in general when comparing to the base games because of course the enhanced versions usally make the original look bad.

@@tristantemple834 you might as well say that with most enhanced versions then. Gen 3 was actually worse with a living Dex then dp. Dp was made with a way to transfer from the GBA games. When gen 3 started the Pokedex only had 200 Pokemon and no way to transfer from gen 2. Gen three was only able to get all Pokemon once emerald and the gen 1 remakes finally came out. Emerald also added a battle frountier and more post game so by that logic ruby shappire should be C teir as well since emerald is a very similar upgrade to platinum.

It''s just an open world with nothing to do honestly. There's a reason why the games went downhill after violet and scarlet it's because they aren't sticking to its roots, like completing gyms. I will say that violet and scarlet did 1 thing really good for me and that's to have almost every pokemon available at the start prior facing any gens. For example if u wanted to have a garchomp, gible was only obtainable after gym nr X
