i really love the more story based approach as opposed to just doing the fotd normally. It makes this much more entertaining than all the other sea of thieves youtubers, and if anyone truly deserves the storyteller title it's definitely you lol

Finding hilarious suboptimal ways to do things is my forte

You wanna know why I love your videos so god damn much? You are a real player, not a pvp god thats only gonna lose against either cheaters or 4 ships at the same time. You my friend lose matches, create alliances on community day and gold and glory, you grind for these sweet emissary rewards, you are visibly happy when winning, you have no problem with telling us that you're bad at PvP and you are a true Reaper. You show stuff of the game that got forgotten (like the breath of the sea). And also you tell these rather simple storys in such a great and entertaining way. I mean this one for example, it was just: "I got bored, got on a rowboat, saw a FotD, made an alliance, lied a little bit to make it legit, other guys came around, I betrayed the alliance and got away with the best part of the loot" and you make something movie worthy out of it, really these ten to twenty minute videos feel like episodes of "Love, Death and Robots" on Netflix. I got nothing more to say then you good sir are more then just the guy who tells storys, you, are an artist.

I rolled really high on my Persuasion Check

I like to go around helping people in this game. Just random acts of kindness - guarding abandoned ships, helping out at events, offering supplies, stuff like that. I think it's fun and helps improve player morale when they see someone NOT trying to kill them on sight. Lately more of the people I've been offering to help have just been opening fire immediately on sight. I get the impression that I have people like you to thank for that.

I know I'd be super irked if I was conned like that, but props to Cliff for actually pulling it off!

A funny heist-ish memory that will always live in my head is that the VERY first time I ever played this game, I loaded in and I was hearing cannonfire and guns, turned out I had spawned while a crew was seemingly chasing a heister, who had hid his athena chest on sanctuary outpost to I guess fight off the tail or just get some heat off? Who knows. In any case I was exploring the outpost and actually found the chest, picked it up and wandered around with it trying to sell it off to the various merchants, unaware at the time athena stuff goes to the guy in the bar. I was promptly found and killed. Looking back, it was quite funny and I ilke to think that they had a "wtf someone spawned on the outpost" sorta situation afterwards. I don't really know tho cause I had left after I was killed to find a server a little less crowded.

God I love how far this channle has come. It has to be one of my favorite, good job cliff love the work.

This week I had the best day ever at the fort of the damned. My partner and I decided to roll up on a lvl 5 reaper who had just completed it because we had no loot and just wanted to see what would happen. He ended up inviting us to his alliance with another sloop he already recruited, with the idea of trying to complete the fort as many times as possible. As it happened we had a skull of destiny quest and they had some quests for ritual skulls so we joined the alliance and split up to collect the goods. Of course we were expecting betrayal as we reassembled at the fort with the skulls, but instead we recruited a fourth crew who also had a skull of destiny and made an agreement to complete the fort four times together so each ship would get a full loot haul, plus 50% of every other ship’s haul through the alliance. At first tensions were high as we waited for the other shoe to drop. But then we completed the fort a couple times and fairly loaded the loot in the order we agreed upon. Next we came under attack by a galleon of players looking to steal our loot and the whole alliance fought them off, saving each other’s ships and loot. For hours we fought off the galleon’s repeated attacks while completing the fort all four times and dividing the loot as agreed upon. Then we sailed through fleets of skeletons and ghost ships just to fight the galleon one last time in order to be able to sell the loot for the biggest one time haul I’ve ever seen. While betrayal and heisting is fun, I haven’t had as much fun as the selflessness and teamwork of that alliance. In the final battle our collective resources were so spent I swam our ship’s last three planks over to save an allied ship that was out of wood from sinking. Friends were made and for sure my view of the game will never be the same.

Keep up the great videos man, you inspired me to get into Sea Of Thieves. You’ll definitely make it big, your videos are awesome.

Great heist you sneaky devil! I had a unintentionally heist myself the other day. I started out stocking up and when to do a haunted shores voyage to see if i could get some wraith cannon balls but i did not, so sold the loot and got another when i notice the island it was sending me to was occupied by 2 others ships, 1 brig and 1 sloop. As i approached the ghost ships spawned and started destroying them so i casually parked up and watched the chaos unfold, the brig sank and as i approached the sloop ran off and to my surprise the brig had a load of athena loot 😁
