    Yo man. Not sure if your still reading these comments on this video you posted two years ago. Just wanted to thank you! Such a great step by step video. I have watched it and paused it to make adjustments to my ads and gone back and forth. This is probably the tenth time I've watched. I am a new seller on amazon. I am selling a product with high competition and not much demand (I started selling this product I bought for a completely different purpose, but it was just laying around the house so i thought id try). Anyway in my first month on seller central I have sold 30 units and I believe its largely thanks to you and this video. My acos are pretty high right now but as you said ill wait a few months before i get discouraged. Thanks so much again for this video! Your the man!

    Best PPC video I've found! Quick question: do you set a daily budget for each campaign (in your case the automatic, manual broad, manual phrase, manual exact, and product) or do you set it for the total amount that you want to spend on all ads in a given day? I am trying to determine my marketing budget for the first week and that seems to be the most difficult part to figure out.

    Do you keep the date range to 7 days if you optimize PPC once a week, 30 days if you optimize once a month? When would you look at the lifetime data? So many questions, haha. Please make more PPC videos for in-depth strategies!

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    That is correct! 😃 Function within the date range of your optimization schedule. Lifetime data is helpful to gauge the overall health of your campaigns as shorter time frames will fluctuate wildly and may not present the bigger picture (seasonal trends, holidays, etc.). - LJ

    Definitely the best PPC video!! Just one question....To have a better research term and avoid to bet against your self. Do you think would be useful to add to the negative targeting, your most relevant keywords in the phrase and broad campaign? -Broad campaign have main KW in negative targeting phrase match; -Phrase campaign have same main KW in negative targeting exact match. -Exact campaign: NO negative Keywords. Thank you so much!

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    By assigning negative keywords, your campaigns are more focused on search queries that you deem relevant to your product or service and will produce positive results. In other words, choosing what not to target makes for a more targeted campaign, i.e., a higher chance for increased ROI.- If you add your most relevant keywords to the negative keywords then you will not have a higher chance for increased ROI. Hope this helps! 🙌 ^PW

    Hi Greg great video. Here are some detailed questions : 1. If I have product variation color, Do I do manual campaign for each color and allocate $50 for each or add all 3 product variation in to one campaign. Should I then do if all in one , $50 ro $150 ? 2. For the same variation color type, do I do 3 automatic or keep all in one ? what should be the budget ?

  • @junglescout

    If you are already selling those variations , check the unit session percentage from business reports, if one specific or two variations have better unit session percentage it means people are buying those variations and. You can target those. If it's new launch check your competetors , which variations are selling well, target those.

But my manual campaign has been going alot better. still not getting as many sales as i would like (although some is better than none!), but still getting lots of impressions and often reaching my daily budget. I am completely confused with the Auto one though. no idea why that has performed so poorly. I will now look to optimise my campaigns and bump up the bids. thank you!

    Good content to understand more. I have 3 questions from you:- 1. Supposed I have start auto targeting campaign run for 7 days and apply all your tricks then after this i will carry with auto campaign or pause after some time. 2. In manual campaign after doing optimization despite it we have high acos then what strategy we should use does we go for bids down only or carry with up and down. 3. In manual campaign the sequence of search term keyword like broad to phrase run in phrase for a week performing better put in exact is this strategy Correct?

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    The bid would depend on the number of conversions, As long as you get sales, you can decrease the bid. As soon as you stopped getting views/sales, you should increase the bid 😄 Regarding your last question, would you mind elaborating on that a bit more, as we are not exactly sure what you mean? Thank you! ^PW

    @@junglescout so you mean we should carry our auto campaign when its getting sales but one thing in this we can not optimize auto campaign. Then what we do? And my last question in manual campaign we run 3 match type together for 7 days then generate search term report so my question is what is the sequence of putting keywords in campaign suppose i found certain search terms working in broad match should i put them in phrase or in both phrase and exact. And same with phrase put in exact match

  • @rohanbhuwad3806

    Good and knowledgeable video, one doubt while creating a manual campaign as you said create an ad group of Exact, Phrase, Broad match type so while bidding for this keyword we should bid the same in all ad groups or increase as Broad - Phrase - Exact respectively? eg marshmallow stick "broad" 0.5$ , marshmallow stick "phrase" 0.10$, marshmallow stick "Exact" 0.20 $ is it right to do so??

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey Rohan, great question! Unfortunately, there is not an exact rule for this. You will need to try different bids and then figure out which is right for that ad group. However, we typically recommend separating into 3 different ad groups as you noted. Then you increase bids as the scope decreases (broad to exact). I wouldn’t put all keywords in each group. You dump them into the broad campaign first and then migrate them into a narrower group as each keyword proves its performance. Hope this helps! 🙌 ^PW

    I work for Amazon and I saw the author has started campaign for so manu of his products. But instead if he targets the best of his products, there are chances that customers go to your store front and look for other products that you offer which automatically gets you sale. The process maybe slow but if your selected products get more sales and ratings then your storefront is gonna get famous and get you sales in long term.

    Is there any point in putting ASINs into your manual campaigns? I know that putting them into Negative Targeting will keep AMZ from showing your product on those listings, but is there any point to adding high performing ASINs from the AUTO campaigns into manual campaign keyword lists? Thanks!

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    The best use case for ASIN's from your auto campaigns is to create a 'Product targeting' campaign. These campaigns fall under the title 'manual campaigns' and are focused on targeting specific ASIN's and product categories. It's important to note that you negate ('negative exact') that ASIN from your auto campaign so you're not bidding against yourself and you can allow your auto campaign to continue to seek out new high-converting keywords/ASIN's. 😃 - LJ

    If you are just bidding low, you may miss on the opportunity to convert on great keywords as other advertisers could get win the spot. You should bid low if you feel that the keyword is not likely to convert which is why it is essential to monitor your keyword performance and tweak your settings from time to time. When starting out, we recommend that you choose ‘Dynamic bids - up and down’ to maximize your chance at earning a sale on Amazon. Hi there, great tutorial. Thanks a lot for that. I have a question though: - Wouldn't it make sense to move keywords from the broad and phrase match campaigns into the exact match campaign over time? Let's say that after a week or two or a month, you would find that in your manual phrase match campaign, the keyword "marshmallow sticks" converts very well. When you head to the search term section of the campaign, you see that the actual search term people used was "long marshmallow sticks". Wouldn't it make sense to move that keyword into the exact match campagin after that, and do so for all "search terms" from the manual phrase campaign that converted well? Overall, it wouldnt make sense to me that a keyword, and specifically a search term, would convert better in a phrase campaign, than it does in an exact match campaign. Hope that makes sense. Thanks a lot. Phil

    I noticed that whether I bid high or low, I get clicks and my daily budget runs out. My sales seem to be the same. If that is the case, what is the advantage of bidding high? Perhaps, I am missing something here.

    If you are bidding hight but do not get as many conversion, our recommendation would be to lower the bid. If the conversion drops down a lot, then you can always get back to bidding higher. Also, make sure to optimize your listing to increase the number of conversion 😊 ^PW

    For manual campaigns, do you copy the same list of KWs into the ad groups for each match type? I'm wondering because, for example, "marshmallow sticks" in phrase match already covers "marshmallow sticks for camping"; whereas it would not in exact match. In this sense, wouldn't your KW list in broader match types be shorter, and as the match type gets more restrictive, you'll have to add more specific KWs? Thanks!

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    If you are using the same keywords with the same match type in different ad groups then they would compete with each other. But if your are using the same keywords with different match types, then Amazon would consider some parameters (when similar keywords match search terms) in order to show your ads. -SR 😊

    @@junglescout Thanks for answering! What I meant was, wouldn't "marshmallow sticks for camping" be redundant in a phrase match ad group that already includes "marshmallow sticks"? And copying the same list of keywords for all 3 match types be ineffective for your campaign?

  • @junglescout

    @junglescout

    4 жыл бұрын

    No, it wouldn't be redundant. One good thing about having all three match types is the ability to test each keyword match type against each other to find out which one is cheaper, has a better CTR, and drives more conversions than the others. Usually, through testing, you can find out which match types work for you and which ones don’t. -SR 😊

    You can change the maximum bid at any time by selecting the Targeting tab. This bid will apply to all clicks unless you set a customized bid for an individual targeting group in this ad group. Hi there. Thanks for this. In the video, you seem to have imported all the KWs from keyword scout on to amazon. On an average KWs run into thousands. If I am to import all the keywords, would it not cost me a huge amount of money? Doesn't it make sense to import say the only top 50 KWs on to amazon?

    I'm here to tell you that it doesn't serve you to bloat your PPC account with too many keywords. There is definitely no need to strain yourself attempting to reach that 30-keyword mark in each ad group; it is actually perfectly okay to have an ad group with less than 30 keywords. -SR 😊

    @junglescout, I set up my auto, broad and exact match campaigns yesterday and set my limit to $100 for exact, 50 auto and 50 for broad. However, over the span of 24 hours, my broad campaign kept on exceeding over $100 even though i had a limit on it. both the other campaigns are over their limit too. What do you recommend i do? Also, i think i clicked "sponsored products daily budget only" in advertisement setting and then it gave me the "out of budget option". whats the difference between "sponsored products daily budget only" and "use campaign level budget only".

    hello thanks a lot for the info! Can I use (in a logical way) some of the keywords that best sellers of "related" products are ranking for? Or maybe include as well keywords related to the season (christmas,halloween,summer season...) and of course in a logical way (maybe I turn my product into a gift for some time)? I just need to make sure Amazon does not stop anything for me or consider this cheating...
