Mountains has a special place in my heart because a couple days after I joined, Mountains released so I feel like we came along the years together

mountains is where I started and learnt everything than I went to forest and think both are s tier

I honestly don't blame you for hating mountains. I used to think mountains absolutley sucked, but then the revamp came and it instantly became my favorite. I think the reason a lot of people don't like mountains is because you're just kinda standing around sliding instead of the hand action that gorilla tag is all about. I just like mountains because going zoomies on ice is fun :P

I go in to the caves with contrast and it makes ur screen darker and more scarier

my list is this 1. Forest, a good classic map to be competitive in and just have fun. 2. Caves, mostly for minigames but can be good for competitive but most people playing in it are playing minigames. 3. Canyons, a very good map before the update but now there's to much happening for it to be competitive but now fun. 4. City, only good for shopping and minigames. 5. Beach, not competitive but its very fun bit over hyped but fun overall. (and water) 6. Mountains, not very competitive and ruined after the update, only good for the slides and ice. (sorry) 7. Sky, very annoying to play not even close to be competitive and not even that fun and lastly low gravity very annoying.

Forest: A their Reason: would be S if it wasn't filled with the most toxic people I've ever seen Caves: A tier Reason: very underrated and very undecorated with updates like the Halloween Canyons: A tier Reason: changed canyons to A because of the new ropes and Ziplines because those are fun to use City: S tier Reason: where cosmetics are held and because of that allowed all of us to change our appearance Mountains: S tier Reason: wall surfing and the map change made it even more playable than it was (also my favorite map) Clouds: C tier Reason: very cool when it came out but lost its prime after like 2 updates Basement: A tier Reason: is probably the last map where the size changing mechanic will be held and is very cozy along with it's update

I’d say canyons is S tier, with the recent update it got which made it western and more like a canyon, it’s basically (one of) the best maps. It’s also very fun with the ropes and zip lines.

S Forest A mountains canyons B basement clouds C caves D 0 E 0

Forest: S - Monke game, Monke live forest. It's a given, lol Caves: C - Not much, low skill ceiling. Decent route potential, tho Canyons: D - Not much, low skill ceiling. Interesting, but bland Mountains: S - Features new mechanic, high skill ceiling. Absolutely insane route potential, no speed cap, complex mechanics, the only limitation is your imagination Clouds: B - Bouncy, speed boost, moderate skill ceiling. Has a unique design compared to other maps, wind barrier can be utilized for interesting routes DND: C - Very unique, low skill ceiling. Mainly for the laughs, but implementing this into other maps would go crazy! *Summary of each map. Not all Pros/Cons will be mentioned*

Finally somebody who likes clouds I meet so many people that hate the map and it makes me feel sorry for clouds I think lemming might of felt bad about the map it has to have a revamp that will make all players like it

What I would change about the maps: Forest: Forest is the everything map. It’s the first map you play in, it’s the one where you probably learn how to play and improve. That’s why I think it should have “everything.” That’s why I would remove the small slide and add a bigger slide coming out of tree house. The way I see it, Forest is a small everything map where you can play everything at once and the other maps concentrate on a mechanic that Forest has. Cave and Mines: I would separate Cave and Mines so that you can enter Mines through Canyons and Cave. Next I would completely remake Caves. There should be more water works like puddles, waterfalls, water dripping from the ceiling. I would also add stalactites and stalagmites to make it look cooler. I would change the crystal positions to make it more about quick turns and jukes which I think is what caves is about. Next for Mine, I would make it a lot bigger and make it look like an actual mine. It could be multi floored where there are broken elevator shafts and wooden support beams and spider webs and things like that that would make it creepy which I feel is the point of Mines. Other than that, just make more paths and tunnels and dead ends to give it that looking for resources vibe. Canyons: With the recent update to Canyons, I don’t think I would add anything except for a tunnel to mines. City: City has always felt kind of weird, it’s way too grey. So I would make it bigger first of all and make the mall go in the middle instead of the wall. I would turn it into an actual mall where everything is kind of grouped together so it’s easier to find what your looking for (example: A store for buying shiny rocks, a store for buying badges, a store for buying fancy hats). Next I would make the houses look a bit more like the ones in sky jungle so they look better. I would take out the cosmetics form the houses and make it so their are 10 houses. Each player has a unique house that they can customize with shiny rocks like with furniture and stuff and it would save and when you would enter a new lobby, one of the 10 houses would be yours. I think it would make city more social which I think is what it’s supposed to be. Mountains: Probably would add more snow and replace some of the ice. I would also make it so you can still move on the ice like you could any other surface except it would make you slide a bit which I think would make the map less annoying. I would maybe also remove the big slide and just make it multiple cooler and unique slides like in capuchin V1 Sky Jungle: Yikes, I don’t like sky jungle at all, it feels very weird and out of place. I don’t know I would probably change it from a city to like a temple surrounded by a jungle. I would make the cloud boost give a bit more jump height, I would lower gravity, and I would make the speed boost not as much. Dungeon: Honestly I was super disappointed with dungeon. I like the idea of having a small map and crap but it wasn’t well executed. It also feels weird having a random basement in the middle of a city. I think I would make it like the mall’s basement and more DnD themed since that is what it was supposed to be. Make it so that there are more creatures than the beholders like goblins or dragons or something that you could interact with. I would make the small dungeon less of a dungeon and more of like a mini fake gorilla tag with mini, less detailed versions of all the gorilla tag maps but with fantasy elements. I think that would be so cool. *EDIT* Actually now that I have played dungeons map more I think we should keep the maze and the basement theme but also add the tiny maps too. Also for forest I would keep the slide and just add mushrooms or fallen trees That’s it. Sorry for making you read a whole novel about my thoughts but I think this would make all the maps S tier.

Canyons is my all time favorite map. The recent update definitely made its quality better, but I feel its just to much. But, the update is amazing, and so is the map. Caves is my second favorite, do to the fact that its just chill. Its fun, chill, and easy.

With the cave update I will say that cave is one of my favorite map

If I could change the forest map or add something. I would put a giant cake on all of the platforms and put confetti instead of rain but I’ll only do that for lemmings birthday. Not gtag birth day but lemmings. I would also put rainbow tassels on top of the trees. And we can go on a hunt for cupcakes around the map. And if you find all of them you get a special cosmetic that only comes out once

when I first started the game canyons before the ziplines and ropes was like hell to me because I kept falling down and getting stuck at the bottom

At first, my favorite map was canyons, but I got tired canyons, and I went to Mountain’s played that for a few days and now it’s the best map

Basically making a secret tunnel that leads you to a GIANT forest in the forest map

Btw the dungeon map is actually called the basement

My Ranking 1. Forest The OG and will always be goated and can’t get bored in this map, only time you’ll leave this map is when going to city. 2. Canyons Competitive map. Best revamp out of all revamps of each maps and love how the zip lines rotate around the map and the amount of parkour. 3. Beach Other maps can’t compare OTHER than city but the speed you get on the zip lines and the ropes are the best part of the map but trying to swim is mad annoying. 4. City VERY CLOSE to all of the maps above but it’s a little empty for all of the space available. The rest are eh but basement is alright

I do agree that mountains sucks and is the worst map currently but old mountains was way better you just have to play it enough to find the good routes and techniques that make it fun, like the slide techniques, launching yourself up into the wind to get a boost on the big ramp at the tower, or the slip slap technique where you cant go as high as old slip slap like in forest or canyons but you can still get boosts that can majorly help you, but the best thing about it is Being a complete noob in default and randomly jumping and bouncing off the walls and not getting tagged for almost two minutes straight, i still have amazing fun memories like that from when i just started playing and mained mountains

i think the mountains map needs a retake no offense to your opinion but i think it is the most versatile map or at least top three versatile map in gorilla tag also with the growing popularity of mountains and the sheer speed and power needed for the map is good but it is hard for new players to get good at the map i know a lot about mountains heck I’m even on a pro team and on 13 but I’m definitely not the best so i think that i want to play with you in mountains to show you how good it is
