Ayn's second generation handheld emulation device is here - the Odin 2. It seems like it should be better than not only the Odin Pro, but any Android gaming device that has come before it. Has it raised the bar of emulation handhelds yet again?

My Odin 1 took FOREVER to get to me. I backed it and it was cancelled once and then finally shipped about 4 months after it was supposed to. I decided to give them another shot with the Odin 2 (because I love my Odin 1, despite the customer service and shipping issues). Ordered it at the beginning of February (note there was Chinese holidays during the month) and it just arrived at the beginning of March. This is a HUGE leap in shipping for them, I'm very impressed with this console and the company's advancements. It is well worth getting, if you are sitting on the fence, just pull the trigger and get one, you won't regret it!

i got my device about 3 weeks ago and i think ayn got just about everything right on this device. the screen, controls, ergonomics, battery, size, weight are all very good and make it an amazing device. since it has enough power to upscale ps2, i've been using it a lot with my 1080p monitor which i simply plug in with the hdmi cable from my retroid pocket 3plus. i'm glad i decided to buy it. also, i got lucky and somehow i was shipped the pro version even though i had ordered the base. that was definitely a nice surprise.

Switch emulation is much farther along on Windows. Yuzu is very early in development for Android (albeit insanely impressive). You’re going to get better compatibility on windows. But you’re going to find much better battery life with the Odin. I think it’s hard to pick a device and say “this replaces my switch” - we’re just not quite there yet. Hopefully soon! Ally, it's almost flawless. Bare in mind that both the Ally and Steam Deck can also just about manage PS3 and Xbox 360 emulation with some tinkering, as well as being able to emulate the Wii U (via Cemu) and OG Xbox (via Xemu). Where as the Odin 2 falls short on all of those. Plus, of course the Steam Deck and Ally can also play PC games, new and old. TBH, the Odin 2 is far from being the perfect emulation device that most people are trying to make it out to be. The PC handhelds can emulate far more systems and also emulate them far better. Plus, when it comes to price they are just as cheap. Tbh, the only things the Odin 2 really has going for it over them, is it's better battery life and slightly better portability.

Somewhat clueless near the end, the Original Odin (have pro) does run F-Zero X at 2x/16:9 without issues since dolphin offers VBI skip... As to the stuttering in minecraft it is a bug introduced by an update in september and no fault of the device in itself. Not saying you should buy an OG Odin though, unless they severely cut prices these devices are now a bad deal with the RP4 Pro release so close.

Company Ayn have to own a service in Europe for me to buy this because for example from Poland I need to spend something like 50 Euro to send them this Device to repair . They give you only one year of warranty. After this warranty you need to spend 100 Euro back and forth and add money for material and service... So for example 100 Euro for both ways and 100 Euro for service and material. 200 euro it's almost the cheapest device from them ... Furthermore if you want to buy this device you need to pay import tax by 80 Euro ...so If you want buy Odin 2 12/256 you need to spend almost $500.... And wait a long time to get this. Only one year of warranty. And probably repair for minimum $200 all the time you want to fix your device, can't wait a long time because you need to send this to China and wait until they resent you Odin 2.... Waste of time waste of money... Better option is buy a phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 black pocophone xiaomi are red magic which is really really good gaming phones series. I order red magic 9 pro , but if AYN would have service in Europe, then I would buy odin 2 4sure.
