@@Powerhouse.Studio dangerously incompetent did a ride that utilises the 'neon Santa' decor. It keeps the nest rockets on it until they explode. They do minimal damage because of this. And imagine using a rift piece with the 'roof's attached. Once the nest rockets hit you, activate the rift. No more parts to explode on. One nest salvo wasted by the enemy. Admittedly, it's a once in a battle use tactic but....

And now post patch they are utterly useless....

I’ve recently changed my opinion on whether this weapon is OP or not. It definitely is. It auto tracks to the weakest point of the target’s build, can’t be dodged by most builds, has enough potency to one-shot kill or one-shot cripple a lot of builds, but worst of all, requires little to no investment to danger from the user. As demonstrated here, the user can just zip past the 150m meter mark or so to their target while cloaked and drive away with no threat to them for the amount of devastation they cause, which often manifests as a one-shot. This lack of investment to danger was the reason for the awful grenadier meta we saw months ago. We definitely need some sort of nerf here. I’d suggest a massive reduction in blast radius, like 50% or so. Currently their blast radius is about 4 spaces. That’s just far to much for a weapon that auto tracks 6 projectiles directly to the targets weapons and soft spot behind the cabin. The AoE reaches to far across and down into the build to strip weapons and explode modules far too often.

I’ve just got to say, those missiles ain’t hard to shoot and can be shot any time before they explode to neutralize them. So just install mg’s or get the anti projectile drone.

Leonardo Teixeira Generally, the people who’s argument to keep nests as is are the same people using them. They already invested a much higher than normal amount of coin for the weapon and don’t want their investment nerfed. Additionally, these people are usually more concerned only with winning rather than general game balance. It’s a self centered view that’s not good for the health of the community, especially considering how blatantly broken the nest is and how the general meta has completely shifted over the course of two weeks because of it. The player base will begin diminishing if the current state of things continues as there will basically only be three types of builds: nest users, nest counters, and dead weight. That type of meta isn’t enjoyable and will cause the playerbase to slowly decline. So if the extant of someone’s argument is “stop wining”, you shouldn’t really be concerned with their opinion on the matter.

This will be so annoying until the inevitably nerf it (after people stop buying battle passes)

this was the only thing interesting in the current battle pass, but after encountering them it's OP and will damage the community instead. Regret getting the pass now, will wait longer if not at all for the next pass.

Well, I actually like the building stuff. But this weapon is broken even for their standards

15:16 you can see the vent thing light up on the back of his Griffin cab. Can't really call it OP if the battle pass gives you this and a cab with free cloak to counter it lol. People keep crying it's OP but refuse to accept it has to be within kicking distance to use, takes 5 energy so won't be in a stack of 3 often, must have line of sight that breaks very easily. Also Argus, spark III, and the new spark thing will stop the nest.

Yeah it can't really go in competitive play this way and on top of it it didn't feel that op when i fought against it with good protection to my explosive parts it never 1 shot me.its a pain for those goliath sealclub and those skinny build build though very strong still.its a weapon that can fight low ps meta let's just say it like this.

Welcome back JB! Great to hear from you! You'll probably get told 50 times, but you couldn't lock onto that guy because of a new cabin perk. Also, enemy fire destroys missles now. When you said that your hit was missing the animation, your missles got burned up in enemy flame. Pyres get destroyed by fire too now.

Very nice fire can actually detonate the missiles. I'll have to look into the new cabin perk it looked like he was using the griffon right? Alos it's good to be back missed you guys but i'm still having some issues with my ISP and my account so uploads are still kinda messy.

griffon cap can active any drones or lock on aim become unsee 11 secs but players can shots when cooldown or not active

Nice to have you back sir. Everything looks and sounds good! I think they've changed lighting on some of the maps, as well as different times of day. Perhaps that's why you're noticing something different! As far as the Nest, I think the idea is great, but it feels a bit OP in some cases. I feel like a slight nerf to reload speed would help, as well as a lock on notification BEFORE they're in the air (for the person getting shot at). I wonder if the Argus takes them out? That'd be nice, because otherwise you'd either have to be really fast, cloak up, or use an Aegis to avoid getting hit.

From what i have experienced so far you do get the same warning for this as the hurricanes a beeping sound. You can also shoot them so i think the argus can deal with them as well. I was fighting these builds this pas weekend and dealing with one is okay because his lock can break so easily but dealing with 2 or more is difficult.

@@JBRider Hmm, interesting observations. Perhaps some more time in battles is necessary to get the full picture. All I know is I'm starting to think about defensive measures at these powerscores now! That, or building builds with very heavy top protection. Undermounted goblin builds anyone?

9:30 lol. Nice finish. I love the way this build looks. The harpy is one of my favorite Cabs for style. And nest has the potential to be incredibly op and to throw balance onto it's face. It's probably gonna get nerfed into the ground or have the durability of wet toilet paper where if you get 1-2 hit with a cannon shot they will pop.

I have a feeling it might get nerfed just like the flutes and plasmadrill which are now collecting dust in my storage. I like it the way it is because it's a good hover counter especially those seal club hovers with no armor.

@@JBRider honestly I think the devs are trying to find ways to change up the rut that Crossout has been in for the last 3 years. The game has come such a long way in the past year as well. So many new parts and accessories

If one get destroyed, it still means the others can take over. So, if he loses the largest one, his radar range is reduced to the blue rarity ones. The 'underslung' one is a last resort as it would be hard to hit and most likely, not aimed at.

Yeah redundancy. I don't know what the max range on the nests are but it clearly doesn't benefit from the purple radar. and the build had no room for a radar so i put the all over the build. :) The range without radar is pretty bad so you gotta run it with at least a blue one.

@@JBRider what about radar detector? The purple one has less range than the purple radar, but can see behind cover on the map. Maybe the nest was designed for said radar/detector?

Nests need a longer reload and less arx in the missle trajectory. Like you said, it never misses...

You don't need to buy the battle pass, the crafting recipe will be unlocked for free for levelling up with seasonal challenges. I think it's around level 40 it unlocks

The first time you could not lock on target was because he was using the Griffon perk. Second time it was because your radar was gone I think.

I was thinking of coming back to crossout, its been a year i dont play it but after seeing this, nah it will be fine.

You cannot flip them or mount them sideways you can only mount them facing up. Unless you use some kind of horizontal mandrake design.

OK I had 3 nest day 1 and u have wrong set up put as individual buttons like left click 1 right click 2 and number 1 hope helps BTW hot red engine zero cost so can use cloke

Thanks, Still having some issues unfortunately. My PC is fine now but my ISP lost my damn modem somehow so i was without internet this past weekend and i also had no access to my account so could not make video's even with mobile internet. Hopefully everything get's sorted out today.

What do you mean? i have my settings on max with 200% render resolution the one thing i did different is make it a 4K video so i'm not sure if that messed up the quality. Looked fine to me but i'll check again.

Its not as op as ppl are making it to be, there are multiple counters to these, every lil thing breaks lock on, the reload and lock on combined do space shots out, but there are perks on things to help speed it up and jb was using one of them, if you really think its op take it to clan wars be in silver and tell me what you find out

Yes saw that they could just shoot the rockets. I think it would be a good feature to see where the missiles are coming from if you have a radar equiped.

It's not super powerful. The thing what makes it feel OP is because the rockets land on top of builds which usually aren't protected very well. Really effective against hovers which i have no problem with :)

I am yet to get this weapon and you guys are saying that its OP already, they might Nerf it.. so hushhush

If you pay attention 3 nests do less damage than 2 tsunamis, it is not op, it's just that people don't armor their vehicles on top, like gravastar that do more damage than breaker, but has absolute shitty hp, specially when overheated by it's own perk

@@starless1072 lol no I was using a very tanky Bastion goblin build and only takes 3 to 4 hits to kill me

they nerfed it :) it is shit now. Short range it will miss definetly and long range it does not have any. You can't hide, must be in dirrect sight and very close, though not too close cause you miss, and it is not great on moving targets, also will miss.

Kinda stinks that their only short range

the range is worse without a radar. It does seem to have a max range even if you use a long range radar.

You can actually shoot the missiles, cloak hide behind an object to break lock before the enemy fires or use the argus
