I live in Poland and last Easter my friend's older brothers took him out of the bed and threw him into bath full of water. This year he woke up at 5 am and didn't even think about going anywhere without a glass of water to selfdefence.

The thing is, the word "stop" is accepted in the french language for about 200 years...So, technically speaking, the STOP sign is also french... | «Sur le plan linguistique, «arrêt» et «stop» sont justes, affirme la porte-parole de l’Office québécois de la langue française, Chantal Bouchard. Il est donc possible pour une administration municipale de choisir d’utiliser le terme de son choix.» "Linguistically, 'arret' and 'stop' are correct," says spokesperson for the Office québécois de la langue française, Chantal Bouchard. Another fun fact about Japanese things: Mitsubishi's logo actually plays on it's name, Mitsu means 3 in Japanese and Hishi (the H sounds like a B) means "Water Chestnut" but also can mean Rhombus or Diamond, so the name literally means 3 Diamonds or 3 Rhombuses. The logo representation is also referencing the 3 leaf emblem of the founder's family.

As a french, the word "stop" is pretty common in the french language (synonyms of halte (halt), it's also use for the stop signs. So even if it's english, the usage of the word stop in french, is more than 200 years, even the famous writer Guy De Maupassant used it in his book in 1887.

The best part is the soviets said yes within less than a year the United States fixed the bridge so that the Soviets wouldn't get a good reputation is West Virginia.

4:32 I assume this is a reference to the fact there's a lot of people in the Netherlands who emigrated from Turkey (or are the descendants of immigrants) who continue to identify as Turkish (despite being Dutch citizens). Naturally this isn't great (given turkey is run by a dictator at the moment). As you'd expect though, we here in the Netherlands then have morons like Geert Wilders who believe that this obvious failure of our integration system should be blamed on the people we failed to integrate (who, of course, must "all be sent out of the country" as the *only solution* according to him). Isn't humanity lovely?

Actually, a lot of the STOP signs in Quebec are actually "ARRET" signs, in French. The irony of it is that France itself uses normal STOP sign like basically every other country on Earth, because unlike Quebec they don't have a massive chip on their shoulder about proving how French they are to everybody else.
