A textless variant would be a good addition to their range - I removed all the external text from my original and I think it looks a lot cleaner.

@@eather34 I used isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip but there's a number of ways on-line from using goo-gone to pencil erasers if you search around on-line. Really easy to do and takes 10 mins

Hi Jody - Love these mod vids. Given the feature set, battery life and sheer coolness - The royale is most definitely worth the case mod - keeping the resin band keeps it grounded!

Glad to see a modkit like this on the market! I bought my Royale in 2019 after watching your video on it. I was living in Los Angeles for the summer and didn't want to bring any of my nicer watches with me so I only brought the Casio. Ever since then, it's been one of my favorite travel watches. Just took mine on a European vacation and having access to all the time zones I needed at the press of a button was a godsend! Thank you for introducing me to one of my favorite watches :)

Another great vid! I found two of these at my local Walmart got less than $20 each. Bought them both, kept the “metal” and gifted the resin. Love it! Thanks Jody!

This mod looks great. The AE1200 was always let down with being made out of resin. I will definitely have to have a look at the mod kit further.

Love it. They should either improve their bracelets or have the option of an fkm rubber strap, would be such a nice upgrade to the usual resin straps, always the first point of failure on the cheap casios.

It's so cool to see that there are dedicated modding scenes for so many different brands and models aside from the skx

Great, I've only just gotten into watches and now you've opened me up to the world of modding too!! Love the content mate, looking forward to adding the Royale to my collection one way or another...

I started watching this channel while I was on the hunt for a cheap and cheerful Casio - I'm now a confirmed watch nerd based mostly on your contagious enthusiasm and reviews!

I think I generally prefer the plainer A500wa world time, the module without the faceplate at 5:38 looks really sweet to me. That’s a mod I could get behind.

This mod looks fantastic! I’ve always wanted Casio to make a full metal Casio AE1200 and now that’s possible. When you consider the prices of the metal gshocks, just over $100-$120 is a great price for this watch and probably what Casio would price it at if they made it.

The full s/steel version of the A158, the A1000D, sells for less than US $60.

Such a cool thing! I watched the rest of the modding stuff at SKXmod and they were even more tempting! Keep on doing great videos!

I love that these are available now. A full steel frame for the Royale was a lot of people's only grievance. I can't wait to get my hands on a Kit to make my Royale more capable and rugged. 👍

Hi Jody! Been subscribed for I don't even know how long, and I can't help liking this video. What a great modification for a fantastic watch. I love what this kit does for arguably one of my favorite watches. It doesn't stray too far from the original, except to clean it up and make it look like it should have been this way all along. I've had my eye on doing something like this to one of my 1200s for a while, but the finances just never quite seem to allow it. Anyway, as usual, great vid, great presentation and a great modification to give away to two lucky subscribers!

Great video Jody, I'm new to the world of watch collecting and only been into it for a few months. I've learnt loads from your channel and you've become my 'go to guy' for information! Loving the Casio content as my first purchase into the hobby was a G-Shock 2000 series. I've since purchased two more Casios to build up my collection!

That’s a pretty sweet mod! I’ve been wanting one of these Casio royals for awhile, and now after seeing these mods, I want one all the more ☺️

This is an awesome mod. Would love to see a showdown between this and the kranio design case for the title of ultimate mod. It's more expensive but looks like a one man team making them. The white cerakote one looks incredible!

Hi Jody, well this was a fun vid, for both you and us. Isn't it amazing how much functionality Casio put into even their most inexpensive watches. I think that the original has an interesting dial layout, relatively uncluttered and is quite legible. 10 year battery - c'mon, for that price! Cheers mate.

Hi Jody. Great video as usual. It was you that got me to buy my own AE1200 a year ago with one of your vids. It is my weekend watch and goes with me whenever I travel as my casual piece. And you also got me into Pagani. Just picked up the moon watch homage - the correct one - and love it. Keep up the great work for those of us who don’t have Rolex money.

Great video as usual Jody! I have the olive green AE1200 and it's great (and seems a little less popular than the black and gray models). I swapped the strap for a rubber one from some other cheap casio illuminator and it's way more comfortable. Would LOVE this full metal case and of course... sapphire! Very practical mod imo.

I did this mod, case only, to my royale. I also added a bull bar, and put it on a Vario Bund Band. It's like a completely different watch. Love it.

I am certainly looking forward to buy this watch. Thank you Jody for details and especially mods.

The metal kits with sapphire are a great idea. It puts that last mile into a watch with a style and module that goes a long ways.

Hi Jody, I like the quality and ease of those mod kits. The Casio I have been wearing the most is a WV-59 vintage Wave Ceptor. I enjoy the boxy, DeLorean vibe I get from it.

I had one of those, or a really similar one, back in the day. I still fondly remember it as it was the epitome of cool.

This watch and upgrade kit is the most terrific set I have ever seen, let alone the price!!! The excellent presentation put it all in perspective and I see no reason at all why anyone should not buy one.

This a cool idea! Especially like that black with gold pushers, hella snazzy. Love the AE1200, though I'm yet to pick one up - the cheapest I've seen in South Africa is around $45 equivalent. Didn't even know you could get 'em for less.

Nice mod kit!! Love the fact that it includes a sapphire Crystal! I’d be inclined to only mod the head and maybe use another bracelet from a different supplier. What a great idea ! and a lovely watch when the mod is complete. Always been a Casio fan - had my first in 1978 and have always owned multiple Casios ever since. This will complement the G-Shock (thanks Jody !). Would love to dig out the reading glasses and have a go at this and I'm sure Moneypenny would love the upgrade to metal and sapphire....

Just got the watch and love it! Was never sure sure about its size for me but found it in display in a Walmart while travelling in Idaho and it is perfect! Thanks for showing us the kits, they are quite the conundrum at that price especially with the bracelet quality. Various makes decent straps for this watch which I would add to the mod case. Cheers!

Never thought about modding a watch before, certainly lifts the Casio to the next level.

I recently bought an ae1300. I have loved using it. The big world map on the 1200 never really appealed that much to me. I recently scratched the plastic crystal while moving some furniture. I have some polywatch but it would be so reassuring not having to worry about that.

The Royale is cool as it is but a metal case would make it even cooler. I've already damaded the rear of the plastic case on mine from constantly swapping out straps. The all black with bracelet looks good awesome imo 👍🏼

My AE-1200 wasn’t my first watch, but it was the one that made me fall in love with watches. I’ll always have one somewhere in the collection as it grows!

I bought a Casio Casino Royale on your recommendation, having always loved the original Seiko. I love it ! I wear it more than my Tissot T touch and Casio "Blue Angel " Chronograph.

Nice one, the plastic has always put me off this one, however these kits look awesome, thanks for sharing the straps down falls too, lets hope they do an updated version at some point 🤞😎

Hi Jody, the mod kits certainly change up the look of the AE1200. Like you say, there should be one in every collection.

One of my favorite Casios despite the cheap plasticky feel to the watch. So legible, affordable, and unique. The kit looks tempting and easy to mod.
