this is the best bug-out bag i've seen so far
Probably the best bug out bag video I have seen. Simple, small and effective. This video is the kind that won't intimidate others to end up not making a bag. Some bag videos are so over the top, most aspiring preppers can be discouraged.

I really appreciate you saying that! Mainly because that's the very thing I set out to accomplish about a year ago when I first started making videos. When I would look at videos from other channels I thought that there must be a cheaper way to do that... And when I looked at "Budget"-themed survival kits a lot of the stuff in those kits are cheap and unreliable. So in an attempt to deal with my frustrations I decided to start uploading videos of my own creations with the intent of being both affordable and reliable. I figured that if I can afford them then so could most other people. :)
I love that your bugout bag is pretty compact and lightweight. It has some important things but yet you aren't packing around 120lbs of gear. Nice work man. Keep it up.
GREAT POINT about the color of your bag, as you live next to a Military base! The best way to NOT be noticed is to look like everyone else in your area!
One of the first videos I've seen that sets the scenario in a story telling manner, nice.
This is a great video. Lots of good info. Well done.

Hey thanks! I'm glad I was able to pass along some of the info I came across!
I love the comprehensiveness of your equipment. You have more ways to start fires and light things up... I'd never worry about being in the dark with your bag. Well done.
When I discovered this video I had already made a survival kit from the altoid can video. I later expanded the can to a larger removable lid plastic soap dish secured with 1 inch velcro tape wrapped around it. Your bug out bag is a great foundation so I decided to build one which would include a sling bow, arrows and small rat traps for small game. As a former Boy Scout "be prepared" would be the perfect logo for your bag. Thank you very much for this video and keep up the outstanding work.
Definitely always get ideas from the videos I watch. I like the little red led and the right angle flashlight. I always wondered what a good use for that was but on a strap like that its perfect.

Yeah it's perfect for clipping onto straps, belts and pockets! When I saw it I HAD to buy it!
Another great video. I like all the different light sources you carry and how they can be used on the outside of the bag to light your way in the dark. Nice set up overall and it's good to be redundant with some of the items to ensure you always have a back up. Very informative. Keep it up.
I absolutely love how tidy this kit is! I'm basing my kit on this. thanks for the video.
I love seeing these kits! Being in the military myself its good to see i'm not the only one with this wonderfully addicting mindset/hobby lol

Lol, yeah it's good to see I'm not the only one too!
Excellent video! Like others have mentioned, it's one of the best Bug-out vids I've seen. Thanks, and keep it up,sir! :)
I'm a big fan of big out bag and survival kit videos, so I love this. Please make more:)
Great info . I finally begin to get serious about the different bags and gear. Keep it up great ideals and info.
sweet bag. I dig the little flood light, very cool.
I am so glad I found your channel it makes me happy that you make vids like this
I love your bug out bag videos the most . Keep it up. Very useful
I think this was your best vid todate. I would like to see more on just everyday carry and bags. Not really comando style bags but more stuff that is super useful that people might not think of. Thanks
A very good, well rounded bag for a variety of situations. Good to see you have toiletries/hygiene, changes of socks and jocks, sleeping and shelter factored in. Most people don't and simply build a basic survival kit without considering the environment they live in/are traveling through/to and the likely contingencies that would result in them requiring such a bag. The continents would be determined by where you live and where you are going to yet most people simply stuff them full of wilderness survival items and knives. Most people don''t live in rural areas and so a bag should be, for most, urban related not rural centric. I also see that virtually non of these Get Home/Bug Out bags have their core a means to signal rescue (Panel marker/Signal mirror/Strobe and then communicate with rescuers (like a PLB/GPS). Likewise (I prefer a light Osprey pack) they fail to put in a set of suitable clothing to change into and some sensible hiking shoes if caught out wearing sandals or worse heels! If the concern is natural disaster you should have 2 sets of clothes, a shelter and sleeping gear , food and means of making bacteria and chemical contaminated water drinkable. In an urban setting it should also include a pry bar, bolt cutters and a glass breaker. For areas that flood I'd go as far as to have a PFD (like the Mustang Survival PFD) with each bag for each family member. Of course the pack itself should have the contents waterproofed so it is buoyant as well. After seeing what went on at the NO Superdome after Katrina I would not for the life of me go to one of those locations let alone take my family there. I'd much rather head to the high ground whether that be a urban structure or rural high ground and wait it out there. I'd then make runs in to get food/water myself rather than risk exposing my family to the disease, filth, crime and violence that follow such events and sadly continue in "refugee camps". I'd even be more tempted to squat and "loot" empty dwellings and leave cash behind for when the inhabitants return that go to a government declared evacuation site. A "mandatory" evacuation isn't legal in my mind. No one can order me to leave my home, or a location I deem safe (if not someone else's property) to go to a location I know isn't safe.
Awesome bag my friend! Very well put together. You are true to your channel tag, really complete bag with budget items. Awesome! Keep it up! Cheers and Keep Safe
Great vid man looks like u put a lot of work into it :-) Keep up the great work!
This is flipping next level prep
6 flashlight only on the outside of the bag. Impressive!
That's one of the best bug out bags that I've ever seen.

BudgetBugout You're welcome.
Great video. I got a lot of cool ideas from your presentation. I'm always learning. Thanks
I really like the way you put the individual downloads to find the items I like the way you go over all of the island items. I've passed your website on for several friends I told him that you're really good in a detail thank you for all your effort sorry I haven't did a response to the others took me a little while to figure out exactly where it was. thank you good luck
Buying this whole kit love your channel man :)
Great video! Well done, Sir. I always love learning new things, and I learned a lot of things from your video. I had never heard of the inflatable solar lantern before, and it looks a lot less clumsy and more portable than using a skinny flash-light with a diffuser. Cool! I order a pair of them using your link. (I hope you get some compensation from Amazon for this sale.)
The best smallest one I seen yet .
very nice job. Very informative. I like videos that kind of tell you what and item can do and the value of the items. Plus you have several backups of your backups. Which is good in case you lose something or you have to leave something right away and you hadn't some of your gear out. On all great job
Awesome gear, looks like you put a lot of thought into this bag
Hey!:) I've been watching your vids for a while and am really impressed! Great tips and loved this video, keep it up!

Yasmin Rajlingam Thanks! I appreciate it!
Awesome kit thanks for sharing!!!
that is pretty cool backpack
For heavy items in non-messenger style bags, weight should be put in the top of the bag for weight distribution, but you're right, when dealing with the sling style bag. Good video!
Excellent kit BudgetBugout I use the Zebralight in the same fashion on my Triple Aught pack, I have the LUCI as well but prefer the LuminAid light due to size. You may have a use for my MK-7 pouch to organize the smaller kit and gear. Nice job!
GREAT VIDEO!!! Im just starting to make my own get home bag and you really helped me out and gave me some great ideas of what to put in it. THANKS and keep making new videos. One suggestion. You should make some survival knife reviews/videos
I would love to see more survival related items/kit videos. keep up the great work!!

Awesome! I appreciate it! Yeah a lot goes into making these vids, filming [including set up and tear down, etc] and editing [including rendering and uploading] alone takes a couple days to complete. This bag took months of testing, researching and perfecting. But in the end it's worth it and it's a blast to make these kits! Due to the compact nature of this one I can easily move it to my wife's car if I don't feel like driving mine! Thanks for watching!
Well done, I was impressed on how many items you were able to put in that pack. I was surprised to not hear you mention about the packaging of the items. Ie the plastic Box you had your chain saw in etc. Im a big fan of keeping items together. Well done. Almost forgot, I have yet to see anyone really apply Parachord for anything other than the obvious, but they always mention things like Fishing with it. I would love to see someone do a video on that, using the chord they have on their kit as an example. Great Stuff.
I really liked this video keep them coming. and i like seeing the survival gear videos
very nice, great job!!!

Very cool, I would love to own, your bag. And everything in it, I am so blessed that I have found you channel, I am going to try to purchase and set up ,my bugout bags, for my wife, and my son ,and myself, I didn't see a silky saw. I only have the pocketboy, but I'm wanting to purchase the big boy 240 ,I think that is what it is called, In Mo we have a lot of oak trees very hard. Thank you ,That was very informative 👍. Sincerely Rick from Mo and God bless you and your family
Great job!
love ur vids they inspire me so much ur the reason I started my channel
@BudgetBugout
10 жыл бұрын
Awesome!!! I got started mainly by being inspired by TheUrbanPrepper , nutnfancy , and ***** . I drew from the knowledge that they shared throughout their different videos, adapted my own style along with my own knowledge and here I am about a year later! You'll find that there is a LOT that goes into being a KZreadr but there's SO much knowledge out there on how to do it! Good luck!
Good bag. I'm going to check out those flashlights on your strap. One thing I would mention would be to swap your hand "chain" saw for a Laplander Bahco foldable saw. First one I heard about was Dave C. from the Pathfinder Society and it is INSANE at cutting down trees, Also can be doubled as a weapon. Anyway perhaps do a video on how you do your intros and your other stuff. Perhaps I can learn a thing or too to make my videos better. I use Windows Movie Maker.
i think this is one of the best BOBs ive seen and the gear in it is really nice, i onlky have to suggestions, 1 add medication for nausea, upset stomach, and diarrhea. 2 exchange the chain saw for a bacho laplander, or a silky floding saw. other then that amazing job.
Outstanding !

Awesome video thanks
Awesome kit. Great job. Maybe add an external battery to charge cells because I have that crank light also and it is difficult to get enough juice to charge cell. Thanks for not making us sit through you pulling everything out. I like how you just laid it out first. I do it that way too. Makes vids much shorter. Thanks
Great kit! And nice editing! Keep going brother!

Nice video!!!
ahh well edited tube vids are so cool. good video mate. Think you got the needs covered in the bag, enough to share with other survivals, dont ya think?
Have you done a Rehearsal run on your gear and food , of your bug out bag...This would be kewl to see a video , how it works out for you and what doesn't work out for 72 hours. Cheers ;-)
It's a *Ferroucerium* rod! Though it does contain Magnesium in the amalgam, i believe. Otherwise, great video full of lots of well thought out considerations (even if it was a tad long - i tend to obsess about preparedness as well;) The redundant combustion means, maps, shelter, lights, tools and gadgets packed is a very reliable philosophy for being prepared. But add some radios. And you found a woman that is pro-prepper! As far as i'm concerned, that's what we call a keeper!! 3
good idea

22lb of Cat Meat (what's the beef, or venison-like term? Chinese Steak???) would feed you for a week! Great decoy if it became a higher priority that nutritional sustenance. Don't forget to weaponize the bones, too!

Dafuq?!?!?
It's my opinion that more of us live in an urban setting than in the bush, so, I'd like to see more of an urban slant on survival combined with an ultra light EDC urban survival kit, not a tiny Altoids box kit, but more like a shoulder bag or daypack type kit. My EDC urban survival kit is carried in an Osprey messenger type bag with the essentials for spending a day or night alone outside in suburbia. I ask this because I'm always lookin' for new ideas. Thanks, Robert

BudgetBugout What bag would you recomend for a apocalypse?
For your primary knife, I'd recommend an esee 6 or 5 rather than your mora. It is a lot better than a mora for batoning and it is just a great all around survival knife and extremely durable. But I think you should still have a mora as a backup, since it is still such a great knife :D
like you video gonna buy my bag today
