i just did my first movie night in my backyard. my wife was awesome with designing the theater area and she was exited about watching a movie. she never wants to do what i like. its weird having her all in. today i perfected the seating area, projector shelf, and movie screen. i project a lot of family fun in the future.

Absolutely beautiful yard theatre. I love the Toja grid brackets but that build would be extremely expensive with all those Toja brackets. Still some amazing finishing details. Love it.

Great idea on making the sectional. Probably going to do something similar now that I saw this. Well done!

I was thinking about doing something like this for movies and watching BASEBALLLLLL!!!!!!! Hockey, UFC, pretty much that sort of thing so I have an excuse to make an outdoor kitchen that can double as a snack bar type thing for the kids.

I'm excited about the DIY pergola. Everything looks beautiful 🙌🏾

Love this and this is crazy I have already built by had my own off the porch another sitting area. I love theToja see there are areas I had already concreted so with a concrete drill I can extend the Tina on out. Thanks for great ideas.

This is amazing! Have you posted how you mounted your enclosure and what weatherproofing was done?

get a dark mesh to put around the back of that screen frame, it'll make the actual screen pop better and give you higher video quality :)

I am so glad I found this. The tojagrid is exactly what I need to build a cover on my deck. I haven’t done anything because of cost. I can do this myself. Do I need to worry about weight of grid?

how do you limit ambient light?

Most of the wood post dosent fit into the Toja Grid brackets, what did u fo to make it fit? How did u make it fit? What tool did u use? Thank you

Amazing. We could not get away with doing this in the UK, unless we make it less then 2.5 meter high.

Is your volume when you watch really quiet or do you just ruin your neighbors' evenings?

Aren’t there zoning restrictions regarding this? Are neighbors patient enough to indulge the sights and sounds from their neighbor’s entertainment, which surely is visible and in hearing range? Just curious.

Very nice ! I built mine in 17',but,I built a 10X12 deck, then a screen frame from a "3-legged radio tower. I had 5-ten foot section's ,attached to the deck.with color changing "up light's" in the tower side's it hold's a 120" pulldown screen Also,with screen removed,I have sound motion "disco" light's that attach to the cross sec.for karaoke night's too ..we can have bout 30 people over for movie night..

I'm been trying to do the whole backyard movie night with my family, since last summer, but the nights get short lived, cause no matter how hard I try, can't get rid of the pesky ankle bitting mosquitos, hate the lil basters, any one else have the same problem?

@@Mullenthemaker I have two steps up to the front porch and a walkout basement, plus my neighbors are far enough away for late night woodworking in the garage. That was worth the sloped yard.

Someone may have asked already. But, what do you do for strong winds? Do you remove the screen?
