Only... your fast moving teammates have already run away in a general right-side direction because they just gotta be half-way across the map where no enemy mechs are. And then here are the enemy fast movers, just rushing over you in a classic 5v1 because you were left to the wolves... but what if I told you that there are options besides playing with friends to avoid this? You just gotta go very fast, and there are assault mechs - like this Clan Large Pulse / ER Medium / ER Micro Laser Executioner - that allow for great speed and good firepower all together, so let's go fast and hard! MechWarrior Online is a free-to-play vehicular combat video game, officially launched during September 2013 by Piranha Games for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place within the larger #BattleTech universe. In MechWarrior: Online, players takes the role of a ""MechWarrior"" who pilots large bipedal combat vehicles known as BattleMechs (Mech for short). Players can customize their BattleMech with an array of weapons and equipment, and engage in 12 versus 12 battles, the outcome of which earns the players experience and c-bills for future BattleMech purchases and customization. There are currently seven game modes that involve protecting and attacking a single base (Assault), capturing and holding several points (Conquest), take and hold the center of the map (Domination), attacking a space defense system (Siege/Counter-Attack), protecting and attacking field bases with turrets and walls spread across the map (Incursion), and team death-match (Skirmish).

    Nazcar happens when the heavies and assaults try to follow lights. The lights are always trying to flank and when the big mechs follow them, its Nazcar!

    Except that if you abandon the heavies then they get trashed by the other teams lights so have no choice. If lights scout and flank but *return to the pack* then you counter Nascar by means of a murderball. Hell, even go behind the assault line to murder the inevitable light push from the other team, you do more good than running off.

    Totally agree. The heavies and assaults should be the ones establishing a forward presence, and mediums skirt a line between muscle for light mechs and fire-support for heavier chassis while they get into engagements.

    Hill climb helps with the sticky map hooks but sometimes you randomly take fall damage . I agree with uncluttering the maps in places, they are definitely not fully play tested with all chasis with all possible movment skill sets.

    Top 10 ride for fun factor. A lot to juggle and easy to get in bad spots but loved the big surprised eyes in the cockpits!

    This build is like if you welded jump jets to an Ebon Jag and then put a laser Piranha on its shoulders. Ebony Jag is like, "Just taking my kid to the zoo." ZAP!

    My way of standing up for myself and doing something about the NASTARD, is the mauler 1p with the same sort of build used on the warlord, but with better quirks. 2x lb20 + 2x snppc... or lb20 + ac20 +2x snppc. Have had multiple matches in it recently where 2-3 fast movers come try and wolf pack me, and I kill them all with just a few shots.

    I was thinking that the charger 1a1 was faster than this without mask but those jump jets and higher alpha make a big difference

    I always love reading the peanut gallery. After they died quickly and stupidly, they give such amazing advice to those still alive and winning. Neo Paladino said people were hiding. He then states that the direwolf is hiding. Neo Paladino's score? 124. Hiding direwolf 318. Irony at its best...

    I used to like running rearguard lights and mediums. Even though I'd often get blammed by wolfpacks early in the match, win % tended to be a bit higher if I did that. Problem is that I was basically sacrificing score and fun for wins, which isn't super rewarding. Back in the day, top speed, high armour, low firepower Commandos were good enough to peel off the fast elements of the enemy van and buy a short but valuable window for the big boys. Ye olde Commando is probably not quite up to it these days.

    Quit whining about the ground clutter...real combat would be even more. Just because you are limited in understanding positional awareness doesn't mean they need to do anything about the maps. I like them the way they are done.

    the what you can step on and what you can't isn't realistical at all or properly tweaked per mech anyway what people do is play with min details to not see all the extra fuzz.
