I first did a research on this tactical antennas and found out with another uploader who did a test on them and showed that the 72cm variant showed the same results as the longest one. So I bought the 72cm Abbree and I'm happy with it. Using my vintage Icom IC-02AT, at around 200ft above sea level, I made a contact 75km away on simplex running 4 watts. It's a great antenna especially for emergency situations.

The 771 is a much smaller and more manageable antenna. Depends on what your use is. Do you need the extra range then get the abbree. If you want lighter and more mobile friendly then the nagoya 771
