It's hard to not like this sound, I was a fan of Alfa in the DTM becouse of this sound...thumbs up for the designers!!!

Not only does it sound amazing but it looks incredibly composed. That's a seriously great chassis

@@andredeketeleastutecomplex the chassis has nothing to do with the Lancia Rally Cruppo B. the only thing they have in common is that they are prototypes, but while the chassis of the lance was reticular, with a parallelogram suspension attachment and with the engine in a central transversal rear position. the frame of the 155 was tubular welded in steel, with a longitudinal engine in a central front position, which also acted as a load-bearing element, the suspensions were of the push-rod type. in essence, the 155 v6 ti was an f1 car with covered wheels.

@@buuuu7691 he was not referring to the Lancia delta, but to the Lancias of group b. the delta was a group a. the difference between group a and group b was very different. the group A cars were strictly derived from the series, therefore normal production cars modified according to the FIA regulations. the group b ones also had to come from the series, but 250 examples produced were enough to allow the manufacturer to use that machine. consequently the manufacturers created very powerful monsters, real prototypes, designed to be very fast. monsters with evolved to reach powers of 500/550 hp that killed pilots faster than a child eating candy. the 037 and the s4 were the group bs that Lancia fielded in the world championship. These cars allowed Lncia to dominate the short group B championship. Not even the arrival of the powerful Audi 4 Group B, which introduced all-wheel drive into the rally for the first time, was enough to beat the legendary rear-wheel drive 037. but the Lancia paid a very high price in terms of human lives. In a short time the evolution of these cars escaped the control of the FIA, which considered the championship to be out of control and dangerous, decided to abolish it and returned to the Group A championship, where Lancia introduced the Delta HF 4WD, winning 5 world championships in a row. these cars were designed by engineer Sergio Limone. in 1992, Lncia decided to withdraw from rallies and Limone was hired by the Alfa Romeo racing team and Alfa put him in charge of the DTM project. this is the reason why many believe it is the chassis of the s4, because it has the same designer's name on it. but a chassis designed to jump on dirt roads will never be able to offer the stability necessary for a car designed to do the exact opposite

Yes. Simply YES !! I love Porsche Motorsport and BMW ///M but I have to admit that this little Alfa may be the best sounding Touring Car EVER :)

This is probably the best and most succesfull (racing)car Alfa ever produced! The sound of this engine is very specific, no other car on earth comes even close to this sound. I know, because I heard them in real live. Sound of the gods, if you ask me!

Sergio Limone and his team have built without a doubt one of the best sports cars of all time. The looks, the sound it makes give me goose bumps every time I watch this video. And I watch this fantastic video very often. What a symphony!

Best sounding and without doubt the most beautiful touring car ever.That sound can only be matched with fantastic Judd powered BMW's of Georg Plasa and Mercedes 190 Judd of Reto Meisel.I can't think of any other engines that can compare with it.

Indeed the best sounding touring car ever. Actually in all motorsport, beaten only by F1 Ferrari 643 and McLaren-Honda MP 4/6B both 1991 F1 but much much better sounding than all of current F1. Also the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI is the best looking touring car ever build. And it kicked Mercedes's and Opel's a.. :D

I have 3 car sounds that i really like: 1.The Alfa above 2. Audi quatro Group B rally car 3. Ford Escort with the Cosworth BDA engine

This is glorious... I really love Alfas like crazy but IMHO the best sounding car doesn't even have a piston engine. It has to be the Mazda 787b. I was at Spa in 2014 and there was a race with old LeMans cars. You just can't believe the sound it makes. It sounded so much different and better than anything else in the grid. Amazing.

Quello che colpisce di questo gioiello, oltre a tutta la leggenda che sta dietro alla mitica 155, è la sua linea, la sua livrea ancora attualissima e splendida nel guardarsi. Rimane una macchina che toglie il fiato a vederla pensate cosa si deve provare a guidarla. Grande Alfa forse l'ultimo esempio della grande capacità italiana di saper competere ad alti livelli e senza dimenticare i successi di Lancia con la Delta. Alfa Romeo e Lancia accomunate da uno stesso infausto destino, essere finite in mano Fiat.

I would say that the Quattro sounds just a bit better, especially when downshifting, although the Alfa sounds mighty too. In the looks department the Alfa beats all.
