I just subscribed to Joey on Monday and I’ve already watched all his videos from this year. He has reignited my love for fish tanks

Go back to the beginning of the aquarium gallery (three or four years I think) and watch all those.
Nice and calm voice. No screaming ;) Perfect !
I think the anubias adds a great level of naturalism to the tank You did an amazing job making the rocks look like they naturally fell apart that way and the way youve tucked in that anubias amongst the stones really makes me think "those anubias found those little crevices and just grew" All in all i think it was a great choice aesthetically and giving the fry some extra shelter and potential food is an added bonus
Joey "I have no idea what I'm gonna do in the next tanks" Tamara "guppies guppies guppies guppies"
Wow. That egg crate idea is really good. Thanks for that
I love this style of video. Much more calm with the voiceover. Great video!
These fish don't know what the real life looks like . Looks good !
Loving the scape with the plants. It will look absolutely phenomenal with the fish.
I love anubias. I have different types in both planted aquariums and it always grows so nicely. Looks awesome!
I love the green, its great contrast. It even adds to the living feeling of the scape. the rocks can feel stagnant sometimes dead even. The green feels alive like nature!
Hands down my favorite! Also That's a tons of rocks :^O More African Cichlids tanks!!!
Yes,! Joey you really stepped your game up here, this is great
Joey my February brother and my favorite fish hobbyist ty for actually doing a REAL cichlid scape !!!!!!
Joey is the aquarist version of Bob Ross in these types of videos. 🤣
You have inspired me for my upcoming frontosa aquarium . I think the Anubias look good in there
I like these voice over videos. Much better way to communicate information
The anubias is fantastic. I love it bro, keep it
Frontosa need round rocks 🪨 Joey . Just letting you know from a fish keeper who had blue Zaire frontosas for over 10 years . They get spooked and jagged rocks scratch them up .

Technically, Zaire aren't frontosa. They're gibberosa. Both belong to genus Cyphotilapia.

@@radneyd7153 gibberosa Zaire moba frontosa lol
Anubias is a great idea, even for nitrate/nitrite management! Great tank.
Dwarf cichlids set-up would be awesome
I like how you're starting to push "KZread" boundaries when it comes to stocking. Gosh, I've got Shrimp and Goldfish living together. Thanks Joey.✌
Daily content has been awesome joey!
I liked what you did, you do you Joey!! Thanks for sharing 👍✌️
Absolutely phenomenal
I love the added plants 🪴
I love all 3 aquariums but I still feel the Oscar tank is my favorite. Mainly just because of the stocking but that African tank is amazing also. Love how the fish are interacting.
I love this scape ngl it looks great
CANT WAIT TO SEE IT WITH FISH! About to go from a 85 gallon to a 300 with my Tropheus and im deciding on rock layout!
love the other tanks , but the shell dwellers have always been a fav since you first made that 20 gallon long tank in your office for them. This tank is easily going to be the one id want to replicate at home.
Plants look great!
Looks so natural, well done
First learned about the african shell dwellers from your channel, and it's kinda nostalgic to see them again ^_^ Looking forward to see how they'll do in the new scape!
As usual awesome video 🙌❤
Looks awesome joey can’t wait to see the frontosa in there I have a frontosa tank myself never had them before just had Malawi cichlids or community tanks but love the frontosa each one has a different character I have one we call the grumpy old man
I think that this looks really good. I am a Tanganyikan Cichlid junkie. I am trying to have one of every species in a future aquarium and use Cypochromis as my dither fish. Great video 👍🏾
I got it super! Good job.
I have a malawi tank with anubias, they love it and it was definitely a good addition. Takes it a little further from bland rock tank. Well worth it.
Awesome video!
Looking forward to this video on my break!
Beautiful gorgeous tank
The annubius looks 👍! Can't wait to see it finished.
Joey: "Search up your favorite fish or favorite place with keywords like underwater or in the wild." >Mudskippers in the wild. Not even Oscars have the personality of Mudskippers. >Japanse freshwater lake fish. Just to name some interesting ones; Kirikuchi Char, endemic to the Kii peninsula of Honshu, beautiful stipes and colors. Bachschmerlen-Wels(Liobagrus reinii), a unique kind of Catfish endemic to South Japan. Nekogigi, endemic to the Mie prefecture of Honshu provence. Red-spotted Mosu Salmon, not a huge salmon but still absolutely stunning in appearance. Giant lake Biwa Catfish, endemic to Lake Biwa in Shiga west Honshu, can grow over 3ft(1m) and over 35lbs(17kg). Stringfish, found in Tohoku and Hokkaido provinces as well as coastal east Russia including Sakhalin and Kuril islands, a critically endangered species of salmon.

Saltwater Blenny also has a lot of personality.
some julidochromis would look awesome in that scape
Great video!
Yes you are right. It’s cool to see how for it has come along Back 40 years ago no one knew a thing about African cichlids they were so hard to find and now they are like gold fish it’s crazy. Love what you do man great job
I don't understand why joeys views has dropped, he's still just as great as ever 🤷♂️

The tank generally speaking looks great
The Anubias looks awesome in there! One of my favourite plants
Another super cool African cichlid tank there cheers Joey, and cant waitttttt to see the results , rock works looks awesome there, and how many more tanks can you house in your fish room ;D wWOw incrediblely nice video after video, your energy is addictive dupe there, and adding those beauty frontosa will be the ultimate tank, and also add in more plants to make it look even more awesome like plants in flowing waters on the riverbed or near riverbanks to the edge right before going off the edge, so that there is a drop in the tank, for one it gives the frontosa, future to be giant fishes more space to swim as well, these guys will need them for sure. and hope they will breed in there as well too, cheers and btw anyone there aquarium friends here have frontosa as well, i would love to see it too cheers to Joey and all friend
I always love these types of aquarium
It's looks familiar but unique...love it...❤❤❤✌
You are spot on about the differences in rock type! With your well water, they might start breeding!
Liked the scape, looking forward to seeing the next step. 👍
Im a plant lover I love it keep it!
Fill one of those remaining tanks with pea puffers!! They are such amazing little fish!
love it!
Love the scape with the plants 👌
This is gonna be a good one 👍
Maybe a mbunua and peacock setup in one of the 180s. Awesome hard scape, either or on the Anubis. Fired Up!!!
I would take out most of the plants and add more really bog rocks. Frontosa life in water so deep plants barely can life there. So by adding the plants you actually make it less natural for the Frontosa.

All the plants - mine ripped up plants and shook them, literally like a dog with a toy.
Can’t speak for lake Tanganyika, but I’ve snorkelled in lake Malawi and the boulders were definitely rounded.
I'm not the world's biggest cichlid fan but I am finding this very interesting and the fish are gorgeous.
Joey the next David Attenborough? Only time will tell. I think I prefer the plants around the larger rock and leaving the right rock with the small rock bare, but looks great!
Wasn't to keen on the plants at first but once the water was in it looks good I always like some plants in my tanks
Love it!!
You should do a neon tetra aquarium next, or a guppy aquarium
♥️ my favorite fish! Before you got them that was always my comment when you always asked about stocking
Thanks for the underwater search tip. I think this tank is a fine example of lake tanganyikan shore shelf example. Round rocks found more toward the middle from what I seen. I think the Anubias is great. Don’t know much more than what if picked up from KZread about cichlids. I think it looks great the way it was with the current of it drifting off the shores and falling into the sand.
I always say "yes" to plants. 🌿
Anubias is such an awesome plant. I’m really starting to love crypts too
I wouldn’t have been able to resist adding anubias.
Lake Tanganyika actually has lots of incredibly colourful fish. But they're just not the ones you buy. Lots of colour to be found in Petrochromis, leptosoma, featherfins, etc.
Good work Joey! For the next tank think about doing a river setup. Rounded river rocks sand and different sized gravel with many types of plants. High flow. Fresh water gobies and horse face loaches. Rachel oleary style
Good job
You should make a basic 'Dr Office' style community tank. The most basic tetras, mollys, angels, catfish, danios, gouramis,..ect. All the cheapest fish little kids wanna buy. A lot of family's start that way. It would be a good replica of what a true novice would have in their home. Great content Joey. Keep it up!
Joey you HAVE to do a coral tank!! Cmon man you could do something amazing and us fans will 10000% be following it
As you all can see in my profile pic. Yellow head tri-color cyprichromis is my all time fav. Been into lake tanganyikan tank for years. Can’t get enough of them.

I think the Anubais looks great!
Hi Joey the tanks look awesome can’t wait to see the fish in it. I’m in the process of setting my 55 gal tank with shell dwellers to. If you have any advice on them I will appreciate it.
1 or 2 anubis, that's it. Love the widow's. My new favorite.
Beautiful tank, got 3 archers and a mouth almighty the other day, native Aussie fish look it up very cool
In the videos you showed of Lake Tanganyika, most of he rocks were rather rounded. LOL. But it does also have a lot of jagged rocks, for sure.
Wild discus!
Nice fish
Finally Joey a African cichlid aquarium,,, lol
Joey... every tank is your favorite tank but more specifically the most resent scape is always your favorite tank. lol! It looks amazing.
Hey just a random question but can you make acrylic that's been frosted clear ?
Would love to see a tank with some shrimp! 🦐
definitely do a huge guppy tank with one of the other 180s!
I never did much research into lake Malawi or Tanganyika's appearance but I've Always attributed Malawi with more round porous rocks while Tanganyika I've imagined to be almost trench like with sharp rocky shelves.
My only thing I'd change with this tank is I'd change the lighting to a very dim and blue-gray light to mimic deep dark water
Awesome
Would love to see a Peacock, Mbuna and Hap African cichlid tank. You can add different species of rainbow fish, plecos, "sharks" (Bala sharks, red tail sharks, etc...), And loaches as tankmates. Lots of aggression, but if you keep it heavily stocked, the tank would be both colorful and exciting.
I’m a fan of the plants with the scape
I like to see you do Lake malawi tank with just a good size colony of 1 type of mbuna, either demasoni or saulosi. OR a tank full of quality discus OR a planted all barb tank, cherry, gold, rosy etc...
Love the scape looks natural im sure the fish well do great! How bout a rock scape Mbuna tank for one of your next tanks..i would really enjoy seeing some colorful breeding behavior from them in a nicely scaped tank of yours!
A happy little anubias here...A happy little anubias there... Joe needs an afro Bob Ross voice over.
awesome scape
my god this is tank is gonna be insane
Nice
