The best person to compare this to is spaceuk. To give a little bit of of context about spaceuk, he was a British "top 1" Geometry Dash player that "verified" Slaughterhouse and "beat" the entire list (not including the legacy list). On April 26th, 2023, paqoe, a head moderator for the demon list exposed him and destroyed trust within the community. They had many similarities, like thought to be considered as the best player, made many accomplishments, got exposed, etc. One of the few differences here is the amount of time to expose them. It only took a few weeks for Marcus to get exposed, meanwhile spaceuk got exposed after 1.5 - 2 years. Another one is that one of them managed to destroy a community's trust in top players. An example is the suspicion of Zoink (current top 1 player) even though we was considered legit.
