Bring it back
I appreciate their honesty because it tells us a lot about society in general. These women wouldn't have taken these drastic measures if society didn't make them feel like they weren't good enough. It'd be so easy to sit here and judge these women but their reasons to me seem very valid. Everyone wants to feel like they belong..we all want to be loved and appreciated...all things that make us human. And when the color of someone's skin is their biggest barrier to all that, it's easier to change to fit in than to change the way society sees them.

Sad thing I just got back from Nigeria and literally in the beauty section are these lightening soaps and lotions. 😢😢😢😢
I've been looking for this episode everywhere! Do you have more videos of the Tyra Banks Show?
Those poor babies don’t even know what it is:( lord have mercy that hurt my heart
I have a cousin. She's black and she changed her name so she would be treated fairly in the job market

She would be better keeping her name as it is. As much as we don’t like to admit it, we black people do have a strong advantage within the job market in this day and age
When the lady in purple started talking about how hard it was being a kid and what she goes through as an adult that I felt her pain 😢
The tyra show was woke before the mainstream
Broken black women 🙏🏾

It’s not just happening in black community. It’s happening in a lot of countries in Asia as well. A lot of arab celebrities I watched growing up have bleached as well, and extreme plastic surgery.

@@NC1195_True I'm half Lebanese and half European I'm saddened to say I may be treated better than other Middle Eastern women because my skin is naturally fair. I was in tears over these women and I totally understand how they feel. It's not about being black it's about being human.
The world just has to change

and her dark son is soooo beautiful and cute
I wonder what they would say if she asked the boys do they like darker skinned kids
I just like the judgement when they interview them.. just try to understand And be neutral
What a horrible mom, so colorist she can’t even see that she can do some serious harm

Some. Folks. Like too have light. Skin and some chocolate. Likes their chocolate. Skin. Who cares. But. Get theses bleachers. In a place. Where. They could get. Very light. And. Be happy they are light skin. Black once they. Get there
Some of them it's deep very deep pain inside. Generational curses they're passing down to their children. And some of them it's about men. They want attention from bm. And it's sad.
Bre is so gorgeous! One of my faves on top model
Her model walk at 10:51 iconic

There's a whole lot of dark skinned women that look better than light skinned women do. Society led by white supremacy has made these people feel they are ugly with dark skin, that's just not true.
This gotta be fake.
Tell. Them they have pills
1:10 Mercury is in Pakistani creams. 100 times above authorized limit for Goree and Kanza. boycott it right now ! But Nigerian Indian Filipino Thai products are 1000% safe
She said she was teased. A lot. She said she was picked on a lot. When. She went too a school that was everyone. That. Had more deeper tones. It. Seems. Like her childhood would of been. Wonderful especially. When most. Folks were. Darker the a paper shack. Brown. Very few. Lights at her school. Well now. They. Have the pills. But it's. Good too see. The victim. Keep her. Pure. This is so sad. I think that your racial identity may not play a role for your self esteem. You should build your self worth only by your own accomplishments.
Skin white pills. Everywhere. U. Could. Swallow. N. Get. Paper white nowadays
Omg, Tyra trying to be a support for anybody is super laughable. No wonder this show tanked after only a few seasons. Getting life advice by someone who has been spoon fed success and privilege their whole lives lol 😅
