Like everyone else, I became a big Masterpool fan last summer. I cannot remember a race where I was standing up in my living room screaming at the screen like I was for these two races! I’m old now and can only watch and remember what it was like racing at Saddleback park in the early 70’s. I was very frustrated that no one I know follows motocross and I couldn’t share this story! That second moto brought out my inner kid again! There have been some awesome rides in the past by many incredible riders, but this race had it ALL! I cannot wait until next weekend!!!!!

Me too. I raced Saddleback and Carlsbad early 70's, Never gets out of you system. I'm really happy the Ty is getting the backing that I would have loved. Not in those days though. I'm really pulling for Ty.

Hey … I races at Carlsbad a couple of times also! I was never any good and raced sporadically, but loved every minute of it! Saddleback Saturday’s was the best! 3 motos and done around noon!

Never raced sanctioned but was in MX club for years and ate bologna because had to have new tires or chain etc… I am with you on TY. I’m 65 and I have chewing my fingernails last 10 minutes of Moto 2. Became a fan last summer watching him give the factory boys the biz

Grew up going to His956 and riding with the Jake and Ty, it was impressive to watch him ride on 65s, and it's beyond cool to see him get a win and have a factory ride again. Couldn't be more stoked for him and the whole family. Straight up awesome people!

Great coverage DB. I lost my older brother to a moto accident while practicing for the World Mini in 1990. It's super cool that Ty carried on, I wasn't able to after trying twice.

That is heartbreaking... I have 4 brothers, 3 older that I always wanted to be like them which they got me into sports and pushed me which I thank them every day. I already wrote a book but deleted it😂. So I'm trying to make this short. The Masterpool family always resonated with me having that sibling connection sports involvement. I am so sorry for your loss and haven't a clue what Ty's family and yours went through but pray for you to have comfort and peace in your life going forward.

Great show Daniel! I wish you or someone would do these kind of stories each week. Seems like there is enough TV time. I doubt anyone else has the back story that Ty does, but it’s cool to hear how people get to where they are. Again, great job! Thanks!

Raced since 2005. Had my 2 boys both rode a little, oldest tucks the front on some hard pack rollers compound fracture at the elbow. . I still think about that when I throw a leg over .... how you throw a leg over after Jessie..respect

Dang...good stuff, Mr. Blair. I'd subscribe after hearing this, except I already did a month ago. Brought a couple tears to my eye, for more than the obvious reasons. Having grown up racing local motocross in SoCal, I had a choice to make with my 3 boys, little league or dirt bikes, we went with the baseball stuff. Unfortunately, having that need for adventure and excitement, they eventually found drugs. Sadly, the youngest of the three passed away at 26 one year ago this month from Fentanyl. I could not help thinking over the dozen or so years (early teens into 20's) as they all struggled with addiction, "What if I had gotten them into racing motocross, instead?" Something I knew much better than stick&ball sports, and definitely an activity that would have met their need for excitement. The Masterpool Family story checks my assumption that if my boys were in racing, the youngest might still be with us. Clearly, when it is one's time, it's that time. Thanks for such a great telling of an incredible family journey. I'm looking forward to watching it continue to unfold, delight & challenge us all!

Especially before the big crash where everyone landed on him, it was him and stew every moto outdoors

Couldn't watch past 2 1/2 min. Hurts too much. I've seen approx 5 fatalities and watched my boy horribly break his back. And yes after multiple fusions he's back racing and training in southern California. We all love this sport and nobody else "gets it" like moto people do. I hope masterpool wins a ton of races and congrats to him and his family!❤
