“There’s some good in this world Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for” is not a fantasy line. This is a real line that applies to the real world. As dark as things can seem, both on the big, country or even global scale and on the small, personal, day-to-day scale, there is good and there is always hope. Sometimes we have to fight for it, whether for ourselves or for others, but it is always a fight worth fighting. I still have hope and believe in good.

The Orcs aren't strictly cannibals. The raiding party consisted of 3 "tribes" of orcs. The largest being Uruks. The mid sized being Orcs. And the smallest being Snaga. The Uruks are the ones being bred by Saruman. The Orcs were strays, stragglers from Moria and emissaries from Sauron. The Snaga were from the Misty Mounrains (Goblins.) The Goblins were the ones what get e't. They were too slow anyway.
Uruk-hai are purpose-built for overwhelming force and combined arms tactics. Their strength is significant, forgoing the need for most siege engines, hence the ladders flying up so fast, with berserkers to clear the landing zone too. Their pikes help with this too, fitting around the rungs to help push them at range. They capitalize instantly on any footholds they get, the second they punch a hole in the gate they're already shooting crossbows at point blank. Crossbows hit HARD at close range already but again, their strength, while not always in mind has incredibly important benefits for everything they do. Their crossbows are going to be a LOT more powerful, keep in mind this is the first battle for most of them, their drill and tactics alone puts them ahead of any other army in middle earth. It always bothered me how long the archers waited before loosing, but the amount of armor they have to deal with truly diminishes the effective range of arrows.
"Is Saruman a child hater?" Genuinely sent me howling. Not the 'lol' and exhaling through the nose. I genuinely keeled over laughing.

They needed a conflict for Sam and Frodo to end Movie 2 and that required Faramir to be the designated antagonist. i think thats why the scene with Denethor and Boromir exists. To try and redeem him and show he's still meant to be an honorable soul, just stuck being the unfavorite.

one thing that bothers me, is that people who never read the books don't know what Sam's "box of Shire salt" really contained. Totally omitted in the movies but key in The Hobbit was the character of Tom Bombadil. He put the ring on with zero effect in him. He told them to simply call his name when there was no other way. It's about on par with how they did the ents dirty for me. The frustrating part is, as a writer, I can see how they got to where they felt the need to make those changes. Because Jackson wanted to move Shelob to coincide with the Siege of Gondor, he needed to add in material to plug in that newly created gap in the timeline. Forcing Frodo to participate in the constant back and forth over Osgiliath is an easy conclusion to get to. So how do you get him there? Just have Faramir suffer from a slight case of corruption, and the timeline is "fixed." Like I said, I think it was a bad decision on their part, but I can see why they did it.
@DarthMarDash

Yeah, his story was totally different in the books. But I get why they changed it. Because that whole last battle he was basically in the hospital wing recovering. There’s also a bunch of bad ass characters that aren’t in the movie that I wish were. But for running time and everything like that, I get it. I’m also one of those people that have read all the books like the Silmarillion, so I basically know the history from the creation of Arda up until the movies.

Elrond and Aragorn are actually related. At the end of the First Age, the Valar (beings in charge) forced the Peredhil (half-elves) to choose what race they would be numbered among. Elrond chose the elves and became immortal. His twin. Elros, chose humanity and became the first king of Numenor. Because of the bravery of men in the war against Morgoth (the original Big Bad), the Valar granted the Numenoreans a three-fold span of life. They regularly lived over 200 years. The Ring of Barahir that Aragorn wears was passed down the generations from the First Age through the Second Age to the Third Age (approx. 10,160 years). In the lore, Aragorn gave the ring to Arwen when they committed themselves to a life together after a 37-year courtship. But what's 37 years when you are already 2,739. Hence, Aragorn would not have been wearing the ring when he arrived at Edoras. There would have been no ring for Grima to see.

I forget what it's called, but Gandalf's special gift is Persistence, some amulet or something. He spent such a long time in the next realm after he died that he became Gandalf the White. Time passed extremely rapidly there.
“Me Nodo, fro”.. LOL 😂 legend
The constant shitting on season 8 is fantastic

Imagine being that one orc that's always late for work, gets there after the water has washed everything away, looks around and says, ''Well, I guess it's back to the mines...''

Well I do work hard on these
Remember, Frodo ordered Smeagol to take him to the Black Gate. Smeagol did what he was told. Frodo never asked for the easiest way into Mordor.

I don’t know who these people are but the gal who felt inspired by Gandalf. His character has a ring of power- it’s an elven ring of fire that not only helps him use actual fire and light but to kindle the hearts of men and inspire hope in people. He’s an angel essentially- sent to assist the free peoples of middle earth in their fight against Sauron. So your inspired feeling is exactly what his character is supposed to do! And is why he’s absolutely the best character in the story
Gandalf fighting the balrog was almost 1 for 1 from the book. Things missing: 1. When they land in the water the balrog becomes like slime. 2. Mention of nameless things 3. Chasing the balrog through the giant stairs to the peak (it does show the peak tho)
Great bloody job my man, in general. I appreciate the boatload of hours this must have taken. Adding all the little details too, stellar!

Lol it's funny
I've watched LOTR more times than I can even fathom. Now in a filmmakers perspective, the Lord of the Rings has PERFECT comedic moments. Because the hopelessness and despair is so prevalent and well done throughout the films, these funny moments, like Gimli's axe in the head, is freaking hysterical. But not just really funny, but it feels like a hopeful laugh knowing there is more evil around the corner. Tolkien was adamant about not glamorizing war in LOTR, but showing the pain and suffering it brings. Peter Jackson nailed that feeling which enriched the comedy, which then enriched the pain of war. AH! Writing perfection!!!!
Well done mate!

I would like Brad Dourif (GRIMA) to be given the credit he deserves, everyone knows him and no one really recognizes him, he is Charles Lee Ray and the voice of Chucky, has always been in the Child's Play franchise, even his daughter has participated in the films
I wonder if any of these reactors watch this back and was like "OHHH, it's called a fellbeast!" LOL
Pippin is the youngest of the Hobbits, a mere child at Bilbo's 111th birthday and about 13 when he sets off with Frodo to Rivendell. He's maybe 14 or 15 when he drops the bucket in the well and at most 16 when he becomes a Guardian of the Citadel. He's supposed to be childish and petulant. He's also intelligent and educated, being from the richest and most well-established family in The Shire, but perhaps not as wise as his more rough-and-tumble (and older) cousin Merry.
