How to make a total monster look like a puppy. This is one of the most tasteful XD builds ever. Magnificent. Daniel the amount of design and thought gone into this is really evident. Congrats mate. Agree with host, this beast is perfect as is. Excellent episode.

“Private road”. Lol. We have lots of them in Qld too. Gotta say if you are holden, ford, Val or other, you have to appreciate the thought process and efforts had to make this build what it is. Thanks mark for sharing and thanks to Daniel for allowing us to see this work of art. Well done.

Daniel, I'm 57 years old living in Adelaide and remember my dad bringing home a brand new hermitage red 3.3. 4-speed XD GL Falcon in 1981. I instantly fell in love with XD's. When my dad passed away I claimed the car, lowered it, put a twin barrelled carburettor on it, and drove it (without power steering for years). I sold it for $2,200.00 in '95 after I got married and started a family. It appears in my dreams quite often, and I regret the sale every day. Your car is monumental; beautiful. I've thought about purchasing an manual XD but they are so rare and the prices have sky-rocketed. Kudos to you! Sensational work!

Blew up the ol 250 crossflow in my XD early 90s ,back then you could cruise to your local wreckers and drag out a v8 and transmission out of the endless amounts that were available ,found a ZC that was rear ended and between a couple mates 4 slabs it was converted to a v8 in a weekend ,351 windsor with a fmx ,that lil motor sure looked odd in that big engine bay but it did the job ,xd/xe just an aussie icon

Great video on a awesome XD Falcon S Pack. It makes me miss my 1979 XD Falcon S Pack 302 4 Speed manual in Pine n' Lime I owned back in 1980 with just 33,000 kms on the clock. My XD was a little bit modified in that I had fitted Globe Bathurst Wheels shod with BF Goodrich T/A tyres, Genie Tuned Extractors with a 2.5 inch twin exhaust. Colour key painted the grill and removed the round Driving Lights for rectangular Driving Lights mounted below the grille. John Goss Special Reverse cowl Bonnet Scoop. 3 piece Bobtail Rear Spoiler. I wish I could post a few photos that I have but never mind. The things one does in their younger years to cars back over 40 years ago. These cars are now worth a fortune Rebuilt to or close to factory spec. Watching this video brought back a lot of memories, so thankyou. GREAT REBUILD! The Segment should called "OWNER'S RIDES"

What a stunning car I had an xd wagon in the early 80s 3.3 4 speed s pack in magnolia My dad bought it new in nov 79 I bought it off him in 82 and had it till 85 So I would like to do a wagon one day in my dreams He has built an absolute beautiful car and the motor is just right 😍😍👍👍

Nice XD..used to cruise around in my mates red XD Fairmont with a solid 460BB soo much torque it wouldn't matter if there were 4 heads in the car or 2!.The running gear now lives in a orange XB coupe.

One nice Xd my personal favourite car, mint love these sort of videos.

Killer build, perfect colour combo and stance... love it. Grant from Norwood Automatics(BTC) does awesome work. He built the trans in my VN back in 2001 and it still shifts like new. I'm also an ex Adelaide metal scene guy into cars... there really wasn't many of us at all. I remember Kyle from 'Embodiment' telling me he knew a guy in the scene that was car mad and we would get on like a house on fire... I'm guessing it was probably you.

Perfect build, my only change would be running 15' Simmons V5's in body colour for the full 80's OEM+ look, but the Pro Stars are bloody rad. Looking forward to the day when your LTD has a Clevo too ;) Dig the variety of the episode, being from the East Coast, have always loved the Adelaide style of car building and it's love for the Adelaide Hubcaps. As for a show name, playing of the channel name, sense of community and the hardcore scene vibe your channel always has had to me, how about "Iron Sharpens Iron"? Not just on the channel name and the cars, but the whole idea of putting a spotlight on others and making the scene as a whole better.

It sounds nice

400 hp with 4:11's that is insane to drive ,spinning first 2nd and 3rd for sure on normal road going tyres maybe not in Semi slicks or rag radials or maybe yes, because of the surface of our roads in AU? Sick car, looks just like my XD except it was a GHIA, which i drove to WA with the family and hand painted the Ghia wheels in gold metallic paint with brand new G Grid Bridgestone tyres they just came out at that time. Also in the hottest days on record to drive from VIC to WA without A/C, took 3 days stopped in ceduna and yalata and then eucla, i think it got to around 49 or 50 degrees c when we drove along the 90 miles straight, Also the Car was overheating as well, till i got from the 90 miles straight to the nearest place to stop with water and to cool it down, which was a pub just after northam i think, also changed the coolant in her when we spend the night at ceduna, plus the little pipe that comes out of the block for the heater hose to connect to snapped off completely before we drove over, i found normal GAS pipe which was the same Diameter and pushed into the hole and it worked perfectly otherwise i would need someone to weld the right size pipe in that hole. Great days with everyone thumbs up at almost every place we stopped. 🚓🚓🦘🦘👌👌✌✌👍👍
