I'm a 38 year old man (boy) who walks around in Chuck Taylors, wears aviator sunglasses no matter how dark it is, and speaks mostly in one-liners. You better believe that I have some exxxtreme 'tude, and definitely NOT some serious issues I'm choosing to ignore rather than deal with. This video gets my approval to the maxxxxxtreme!!
Man, I'm less than a minute in, but this is already an extremely accurate representation of the TUDE ERA. I used to subscribe to Nintendo Power back in the day and I still have very vivid memories of the obnoxious promo videos they would send out every now and then. This might seem like a joke to anyone who wasn't there, but this type of stuff was unavoidable in the 90s and kids ate it right up.
I love how there's still a huge load of undiscovered mascot platformer games from the 4th and 5th gen.
We know Daxter is on the PSP. Thanks for the comments.

Jazz Jackrabbit should be on this list even though it was a DOS game. It was a good satire of Sonic games and other platformers if that era and his games includded lots of references to other games, like Donkey Kong. Also he has a flying skateboard...

Fun fact: Totally Rad was originally called Magic John in Japan and had none of that stuff, the sprites and the intro screen were changed a little bit for the US version, but you gotta be born with that 'tude, you can't fake it. Word!

Crazy Luigi That makes no sense. Trump is extremely 80s and the early 90s was very 80s. 90s was the way it was coz we no longer had any enemies due to the fall of the USSR that the DNC keeps trying act as if it still exists.

Obviously I was joking around a bit there. I know that this world holds a lot more complexities at hand than what my joke was trying to convey there. In fact, to add onto your post there, the 1990's didn't even truly die with the early 2000's even feeling like the rest of the 1990's until either the aftermath of 9/11 or the start of the War in Iraq, depending on how you viewed that point in time. That being said, the sooner we end our blasted wars that ultimately feel more and more unnecessary to continue onward (at least when considering how much we're already spending on the military as it is), the clearer we can be with focusing on our own issues within, such as racism in the U.S.A. or our education problem in states like Arizona.

The beauty of the Game Sack lads is they seem like regular chaps you could happily go for a beer with, I always get the vibe the Pat the Nes punk and Mike Matai types would look down their noses at you
"Bug is the titular star of the game Bug! on the Saturn" "Did you just say tits?" Caught me totally off guard and I loled IRL
literally laughed out loud at that intro. Brought back so many memories
Jazz Jackrabbit was a series of PC platformers with Tude. Good ones too.
The are only two eras in gaming: Before Greendog and after Greendog.
"You're the man cool spot. I wish I could be like you" ........LOL!!!..........We all wish we could be like Cool Spot.....
Little known fact Bubsy went on to enjoy a fulfilling career with a little known project called Cool Cat Saves the Kids.
"Jacket is too small for my frame yo!" This whole show had me cracking up and also cringing that I lived through the tude era. Also that the era ran much longer than I thought.

Astfgl What's not to miss? One of the greatest decades for music. It was the era of incredible bands like Radiohead and Nirvana and also the greatest decade for rap, with Biggie, Tupac, Wutang, and many more. Also a great time for gaming, bringing both the Snes and PS1.

Astfgl what's weird is that I remember how the principal attitude of the early 90s were that he 80s were over and we couldn't be more glad to be out of the lame decade and into the "cool" decade. So much so that "hey. It's the 90s" somehow became a catch phrase. I don't even think it was from a television show or anything. It was just a catch phrase of life.

I have hard time dealing with 90's. Everyone hated them but it was the time I grew through, as well as early 2000's so there is a lot of importance to it. Plus 90's was after 80's, in poorer places lot's of 80's still linger on, like me having NES as my first console because it was a lot cheaper than grand spanking new SNES, etc. But yeah I cannot tell that many genuinely great things from 90's even myself.
I am from Funkotron, and can confirm that my homie ToeJam doesn't have left or right feet. His feet are symmetrical and so are his radical high tops.

I'll never forget Cool Spot. He had the most swag walk cycle in the entire 16 bit era.
Am led out in bed with a chest infection. Thought I'd watch this episode while trying to get better. From the opening intro alone I laughed so much that my chest is now in pain. Worth it though.

I remember the "'tude" era and this video captured it brilliantly. One of the best Game Sack videos I've seen!
Crazy Taxi for next time
That intro summed up the mid 90s perfectly.
I loved the 'tude interludes. Hilarious!

Sometimes the 90's just won't die. That decade was just too iconic.
If Game Sack's interludes are now filled with 'tude, would they be called "intertudes"?
This is one of your best episodes!
Not only is this an excellent episode, but watching in order it immediately follows the David Lynch skit - perfect!

i'm lucky to have been born in 86. I remember the 90s pretty well. especially those totally radical late 90s. yup I saw 3d gaming become a thing when the N64 and ps1 came out. I was an N64 kid.
C'mon Joe, time to call Dave back for another SICK EPISODE OF 'TUDE!!
I lived in the 90s and this is pretty accurate. Love you guys
I really enjoyed this one. Thanks, tudes!

I love Tude Sack’s intro so much
Wow I watched 200 Episodes? Congratulations to you guys for that. Definitely a landmark episode. Top notch. Need more uniquely themed episodes like this. Very good idea. Love this show so much, keep it up for the next 200!
This is By FAR My favorite episode of Game Sack....i mean TUDE SACK
"Faces are for dweebs" - Greendog 1992
It's hilarious how many of these games were rentals for me back in the day as a kid because of their 'tude
You forgot to mention The Bard's Tale reboot by Inxile Entertainment. The main character is always snarky to the extreme. That's medieval tude.

That was a classic era, glad I was around during it. Great video guys.
Dave I'm not sure if you were joking or not but Daxter did get his own spinoff game for the PSP, anyway Totally Rad was only marketed with attitude in the west as the Japanese game was called Magic John and all the characters were re-drawn to age them.

By far my favorite episode
Tude Sack sounds like an extremely gnarly x rated straight to VHS production...
This has to be the best Game Sack episode ever.
in england they had a different actor play gex with a snarky bitish accent
Battletoads? More like BattleTUDES am i right? Up top I'm depressed inside
The commercial for Kid Chameleon is so attitudinal, your tv will start spouting one liners for a whole HOUR every time it comes on!
I wish there was a number counter on this video, and it went up every time you guys said TUDE
Dave said he was surprised that Naughty Dog didn't make a spin off with Daxter alone but there's Daxter on the PSP. I mean... it wasn't made by Naughty Dog, but it sort of counts I suppose.
Great Ep, but my sympathies to Joe for having to spend hours editing the interstitials on this. :D
I have a really vivid memory of playing Bubsy in '96 when I was 3 years old in a Hospital. I had a serious asthma attack and My Mum and I sat there playing it late at night, I didn't really enjoy the game, but when you're 3 you don't care too much.

WELCOMETOTHENEXTLEVEL Thanks for the show and for showing off your TUDE! When I watched the episode and saw your new look, I thought to myself, "Don't try to make THEM go to a stuffy opera performance. And, these guys are totally NOT going to do their homework!" Anyway, one of the more obscure displays of TUDE in a game is the Atari arcade prototype "Beathead". It's a 90s in your face music video. And when you hear the announcer belt out "RACE ONE!", you know you're about to hang out with some cool dudes.
30 seconds in and this is already the best GameSack episode ever.
I'm not sure if sarcasm was intended in the video or if you actually didn't know but there is a Daxter spin off on the PSP set between Jak and Daxter and Jak II
Now you need to make one about sports and call it "ball sack"; or legumes and call that one "nut sack".

Thing I learned from this video; if you are a fish you are automatically uncool and there is nothing that will ever change that.
