Next time I go to London I would be so grateful to the workers. These customers are so rude and dont think about what they say

I’ve been in Piccadilly after the theatre a couple of years ago. It was terrifying to be in such a crowd. The staff did a great job. If I’d known I was so close to my hotel I would have walked back.

At 6:00 the Leicester square can be avoided easily but people don't bother to walk five minutes. The Piccadilly station is five minutes away from the Leicester square. Also the other busy Covent Garden station is five minutes away from Holborn station. Most central stations of the Underground are in a very close distance and can be avoided in a case of serious congestion.

The thing is for many people who aren't native to London the underground map or generally navigation London ist quite difficult. A lot of the time stations look further apart on the underground map than they are

But if the line is messed up getting to alternate routes to Rayners, S. Ken or Finsbury after you've tapped in is an issue.

the fact that the underground still stops running during the night on weekends is insane... I get it during the week, but on weekends? Just run a reduced service a train every 30 minutes... A city of that magnitude and nightlife.... unbelievable

to be honest sudden service changes ain't always communicated properly... and not as adaptable in some places...

I can’t believe people get mad when a service like the Underground in London or the New York City subway system in New York close down certain parts temporarily for improvement to give the passengers a better experience. Check their website!I would say thank you! Take a bus or taxi to go where you need to go. Smh

The Tube staff deal with more bowel movements than a proctologist.

over00lord Unknown it does have screens showing the current network state of each line at some stations. A station board like at an airport would be too complicated

I'm thankful I'm not a big drinker but I have slept through my stop lol. On fact a bus I was on didn't even check for passengers at last stop and I was almost left alone in the bus parking lot

I'm wondering why they can't put up a digital system like airports. Just updating if trains are running on time, reminding when is last train, when a line will be down.... Side note, I cant imagine someone taking a dump on the platform with people and cameras all around.

the subway should play a loud tone when it reaches the end of the line. that would wake people up & make getting them off the train much easier. either that, or post advertisement , that reads "if you fall asleep on the train, you may be kidnapped into an international sex slave ring"

The tunnels are older & smaller, they have less tracks. At night is when the maintenance happens. NYC subway can use their multiple tracks to divert trains to do this, the tube can't.

not just the young.. adults and especially seniors often act even worse cause they feel incredibly entitled. i work in a similar job as these guys so i can tell!

I don’t know how people use the tube... my claustrophobia is triggered just watching the crowds and knowing they are underground... I’m afraid I’d be doing some marathon walking!

if my math is right and assuming they work 40 hour weeks they make about £13.70 or just shy of 18 dollars (us) an hour honestly with the shit they put up with they should get so much more

What i really hate on the weekends in London that people get completely knackered and basically done by 8-10 pm, i mean come on mate, it is the time you should be warmed up. So annoying and pathetic.
