Freddie one of the most likable car KZreadrs out there. He is honest and very transparent about his cars and therefore a breeze of fresh air amongst the many car KZreadrs that pretend they are something they’re not.

Other side of the coin, the latest DDE vid, where they fabricate a whole ridiculous sketch about the leasing company wanting the f12 back. Sigh.

I think thats exactly why him and mat armstrong are such great channels. I just know in those situations where they have such a great attitude, despite some real expensive problems. Id be throwing tire irons and breaking out all the profanity I know. This is also why I know I'd make a horrible grade school teacher 😂

Absolutely love what he’s doing getting rid of the hybrid system and running a highly tuned lump. Hats off to the man

I agree. I couldn’t see how (even if he could replace the batteries), could get the electronics working. I always thought that the P1 was a compromised hybrid.

He said the main thing, This stopped being a stock P1 when it got submerged under salt water. I even think that the 1300 HP is too much if you lose 200 Kg but that's just my opinion. This is an incredible project either way.

This is one of the best builds I’ve ever seen on KZread. My favorite part of it was the amount of work Freddy and his team put into restoring the electronics. The wiring harness alone was so corroded, but they refreshed the entire thing. They did things I didn’t even know was possible. Anyone can rebuild a car back to stock, but this is KZread. Freddy went above and beyond. Dude even going to the manufacturer that engineered the original P1 turbos. Incredible. The candy apple red exterior color is going to be the icing on the cake. Freddy is seriously one of the nicest, most genuine people online. he didn’t skimp whatsoever either. He’s doing everything to the highest level, which is what this car deserves.

It would be so easy for Freddie to get on the McLaren bashing bandwagon, yet he lives and breathes them fixing and renovating them to the highest standard..one of my fave KZreadrs. Would be nice if McLaren reached out to him and offered some assistance, it would literally do their brand a world of good.

Removing the hybrid system from a P1 sounds mad, then here comes Freddy’s project and he proved that workable. Can’t wait to see this finish and Tim testdrives it. Hopefully no more engine shenanigans 🤞

You two are endlessly entertaining. Love the easy repartee and fun in all this car insanity.

Ditching that weight is the best move imo. Its not like he’s ripping it out of an otherwise mint condition one. That thing will be a beast!

not only trashed EV unit, but also one designed 10 years ago, which is already outdated tech. I'm pretty sure if it was done these days, such a hybrid system would be half the size and weight.

It's like what Aston Martin is doing with the Valkyrie, the road car still has the hybrid system but the track only Valkyrie AMR Pro only has the ICE

I would LOVE to see misha drive this on the Nurburgring! That would be an insane video!

There are quite a few oddities around the P1 with regard to the chassis production v. VIN tag numbers. There are two P1s with the VIN ending in 33 - basically an error in the tooling of the data plate - they've identical spec, and were bought by the same customer; one is road-licenced, the other is only used on track. I actually saw them both together at Brands Hatch. There were 4 carbon tubs that were destroyed in-house after an ultrasound inspection revealed many stress cracks that happened post-installation, not during manufacturing. After the dismantling of the major parts, an engineer came up with the idea to re-purpose the bespoke carbon fiber tub pieces as momentos, such as luggage tags, desk nameplates, etc

shmee pulls the most interesting things out of nowhere and it is acctually very good.

Think Freddie took such a financial risk in saving this car. Respect for saving it and loving the story of bringing it back to life.

He should install a removable fuel cell with quick-disconnect hoses where the battery used to be so he can have an extra 15 gallons of fuel on demand for long distance drives/rallies.

@@KalepsisI think you missed my point. If all you wanted was an extra long-range fuel tank, you don't make it removable. An empty tank weighs almost nothing. You just build it in and use it when you want to. There's no need for silly plug-in/plug-out solutions which are notorious failure points and completely unnecessary if the tank adds negligible weight penalty. Apart from that, I think your idea is pretty good.

If you will get your hands dirty some day I'd personally love to see a tavarish colab. Let's go I can't wait for Tavarish's finalized car!

I like the Collabs, Dark Horse looks pretty nice parked next to the McLaren, This will be the most special and valuable P1 in existence.

Love all the work but to be a successor of the iconic F1, it has to have a center driving location. But from all the work done, the only think i do not like are the euro multispoke wheels, i guess since to me is 5 spoke or double 5 spoke or nothing. But i guess thats an easy fix. Now the 3 seats/center driving location is a must.

Freddy’s on to the right trail. His take is so different that this must be plowing new ground. With EV’s losing the buying war, this may be a sea change shift. Just putting that out there.😊

@@SkodaYetiFani get where you are coming from, but have you looked at chris harris’ track comparison of a P1 and a stock 720? P1 is just 0.5 seconds faster around a track, and it looses to a 765LT on drag racing despite having 200hp more. So tell me, how is the hybrid better?

Well it has a hybrid boost. It's not integrated into the power curve all the time. This isn't gonna change anything except it will be faster and there isn't a button you can sometimes push on the wheel

@@waleedtariq7747 Never said a stock 720 is a bad car. Just saying that adding “”600”” more horses to that engine won’t make it any better, in fact it will have the total opposite effect in ruining the driving experience.
