Those words are rly deep.

I like how they didn't immediately forgive him like in a lot of perceptions of the ending. Their reactions here were a lot more realistic. The smile wasn't about being forgiven. It was about finally being at peace.

I mean yeahhhh honestly I don't think they would Kel might forgive quickly bc it's Kel, Aubrey might as well bc if not for Hero, she would of done pretty much the *exact* same thing to Basil (granted Kel might have to point that out-) But Hero, Hero blamed himself for not being there for Mari, Hero suffered from intense regret because he believed he wasn't there for Mari when she needed him, he would probably take quite some time to actually forgive Sunny

After this I feel like the group would forgive him eventually, the promises, the bonds they made, they’d have to get that it isn’t easy holding it all in. It isn’t easy to just say, “I messed up.” It would take a while, but their broken hearts would have to eventually mend.

I think after the initial shock, Kel would come back to Sunny, and be happy that Sunny could come clean about everything. Aubrey reacted exactly as I thought she would and she has every right to be angry at them, but I think she would still come around eventually when she sees/knows what it was like for them. Poor Hero; he was so sad when Mari died. I don’t know if he would ever fully trust Sunny again but I’d hope he would at least try.

i'm kinda bad at understanding characters but i think hero, being an adult, would be pretty understanding of the situation, he'll obviously need a lot of time to process the information but i think he'll be relieved to know mari's death wasn't his fault at all i feel like something similar to hero and kel's fight will happen, where he just lets all his emotions out but then calms down, i don't know if he would comfort sunny in that situation though, he would probably leave

I def think Aubrey would come around. I always imagine her continuing to remember when she pushed Basil into the lake when she thinks about The Incident. Like, once she calms down, and thinks more on Sunny's words, it'll suddenly hit her. Sunny's words "I pushed her." echoing in her head as she envisions Basil falling from her own hands. Ntm it was a very similar case where Aubrey was overwhelmed and was just trying to get Basil out of her way, and before she knew it, she had already acted. I just imagine her silently hugging Sunny at some point after. And Basil too as she imagines how it could have ended differently.

"I'm sorry. I don't deserve your forgiveness but I can't think of anything else I could say. Live your lives now with more peace in knowing the truth instead of believing the lie that's tormented you with confusion for years."

Let's just put ourselves in Sunny's place keeping such a big secret for 4 years with the pain and remorse of what happened to the point of hating himself (Omori) and all the time having that stored in your chest without being able to let it go and not knowing what will happen if you tell people what really happened and being afraid of the consequences of an accident that caused someone's death I don't feel like it's something that not many people could endure for so long to the point that many people would.... Well you know what they would do

This was amazing, I love how Kel was the most calm out of all of them, even though he definitely won't forgive sunny Edit: I'm surprised I got this many interactions on my comment lol, but yea, I definitely changed my mind now, Aubrey and Kel can forgive Sunny much easier since Kel is the nicest and the most friendly in the group, but for hero it will take a while. I never really thought about Aubrey like that with her accidentally almost killing Basil.

Sunny and Aubrey VAs nailed it, Sunny actually sounds like person who was suffering for too long and Aubrey just sounds very, VERY emotional, it's just so like her character

The voice acting, the dialog, the scenes. It's making me want to cry. You guys did amazing.

let me add that living in faraway is not just a “happy ending” i personally don’t believe sunny’s mom would wait for him to leave the hospital.

The voices were great and as everyone says in the comments whoever played Aubrey definitely deserves a raise xD although I also loved the muted tone that Sunny had and the sadness that was felt in each of her words, just like Kel, that his voice felt shaky like i don't believe this is true, just beautiful, congratulations to all the people who did the voices :3

I always had a feeling that they knew all along, most were in pain, but were able to move on except for the guy who decided playing tag on the stairs was a good idea. So for me, it was a game of moving on and accepting what happened, Sunny can't fix the past because it's like a broken mirror, you try to fix, you will end hurting yourself in the process.

Sunny made it up, he was just in a silly goofy haha mood

If it really went this route after everything he went through in his battle against Omori and his mental state, I really can’t see how he would smile at all even if he forgave himself cause now he feels like he ruined his friendship with the 3 for good

Even more so for Basil now that Sunny will leave him and his other friends won’t be by his side anymore. That’s why I’m kind of happy that it’s truly ambiguous cause we truly don’t know if they forgave the 2 or not, but we can make our own interpretation.

you know Omori hitted you hard when a single comic makes you cry

My headcannon is that friends reaction to truth will be their swapped reaction to Mari's death. When Sunny tell truth, literally first they wil be in "WHADDA HELL?!" state, and will be complete silence. Then Kel would lie on the floor and start crying, cuz i think, HE LIVED ALL THIS SHIT WITH SMILE ON HIS FACE and this will be moment when he will break down. While Kel would be terrified, Aubrey and Hero would start to getting angry. Then Aubrey has her life flashing before her eyes, then she will remember that she almost KILLED Basil at one day before moving, and i think that Aubrey and her gang bullied Basil, before Sunny left the house and maybe similar situations already happened, then she realized how bad felt Sunny. And while Aubrey was thinking, Hero would be furious, he would start telling what he done, then he would tell him that's Mari was perfect and Sunny doesn't deserve to be her brother and all this shit that Sunny is useless and more. Then Hero would start to beating up Sunny, and in this moment Aubrey realized about Sunny's feelings. And now Aubrey defend Sunny from Hero, then they would start arguing, Aubrey would defending Sunny and Hero would accusing him. Then Hero would just leave them, but not forgive Sunny. After that, Sunny and Aubrey will calm Kel down, and Kel would just leave because he will need to think about it. After AAAAALL that there will be that scene with Sunny's and Basil's somethings disappearing. Oh yeah i will be glad to see someone do mod about this, and also i think now it's my longest comment. P.S. English is not my first language, so maybe there's some mistakes.

Kel would get sad, as sad beats happy Aubrey would accept it easily, like how happy beats angry And Hero would get angry, as angry beats sad

The secret basil scene after good ending makes sense but sunny already would find himself on hospital(by Aubrey/hero) if he tell them before confronting basil about it. He only listened though. We dont know how exactly he reacted to basil except visually freaking out. But omori fight was a monologue that finally gives him courage enough to decide for future. I think we all agree basil is more broken than sunny since sunny had habit of denying reality way before mari's death while basil got messed up completely. Sunny was always a quiet one that it seems and everyone has a wicked side on their personality but sunny got devoured by that since he doesnt have strength to just not embrace it. Kel is the only exception on coping mari's death while all of others have guilt.

the expressions in this are fantastic. especially sunnys. his eyes seem to hold such a deep pain the entire time, and i really like that you can feel that just looking at them. i suppose its easy to forget, that despite the fact that he doesnt show much through his face and body language, hes still feeling a lot. in fact, repression makes you more prone to wild emotions because youre not handling them properly. so im glad he wasnt just straight faced. theres no way hed be.

The best dubbed comic I've seen so far! The characters' voices are so real that I felt like I was there, when Sanny revealed what really happened the day of the recital, and for god's sake, Aubry's voice acting was just PERFECT!! I just can't wait to see others dubbed comics like this. Good job.👏

While everyone's VA did an amazing job, I think the one that stood out to me the most was Aubrey's the way she read the lines, it conveyed lots of emotion and it was just really powerful and emotional You did an amazing job with voice acting all of you

Lmao, I voiced both Aubs and Sunny. I’m better at voicing emotional characters, which is why Sunny sounds meh.

If they make a sequel after the "finally told them the truth", but this time with his sister's spirit in it to somehow (but also in horror way I mean you know 😅) make her 3 friends forgive Sunny and Basil, that would be great 🤔

The reactions are PERFECT, they are so realistic, if someone else tell me something like that, i would react like them, the Aubrey's voice is AMAZING, and Mari at the end 😢 I love it ❤

The part that people seem to forget was that Sunny and Basil were just kids when it happened. A literal child would not be able to think clearly in such a terrible scenario, which is probbably why Basil came up with the suicide idea before thinking of "she tripped and fell down the stairs". I think that when the others would realize that, they would be pretty quick to forgive him.

one thing i think this comic left out that is important is WHY basil and sunny faked mari's suicide. Basil came up with the idea in order to protect sunny, in order to "save" him.
