@@johnkristofftimbal5053Universal salvation is just as much true as the univeral fall of Adam (fall into a fallen mindset of who we thought Gód is and us in Christ). We all forgot the Rock we were hewn. Wé got alianated in our minds, not God. Compare Rom 5:12-21 for the two Adams.

@johnkristofftimbal This SAVE is not to one day go to heaven or hell once we 'die' (as so many Christians believers believe), but the correcting of our distorted thoughts. We got alianated in our minds, not God. Jesus was sent for more than one reason, one thereof was to save/correct our thoughts. Matt 18:11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. -thát, not who.

That makes perfect sense in the parable of the adulterous woman. Before Jesus told the lady to stop missing the mark, he affirmed the truth of her being by telling her that He did not condemn her. Now, and not before - she is capable of acting in the truth of her being because she has received the a message of reconciliation - of life! In other words, Jesus said that there is nothing about who your are that needs to be condemned. Now go and act like that. Beautiful!

This is a beautiful example of sin-hamartia, missing the mark. Can you tell me where he got the definitions of ha and martia saying it means a denial of origin or being. I would like to prove it to my pastor friend but can’t find it in my Bibical resources.

This is a great explanation. I keep getting this nagging question as I've been known to analyze excessively. My question is, does the fact that Adam and Eve ate of the fruit before the knowledge of right or wrong mean they weren't pure at heart from the start? maybe their ways were just not pure as you have stated

Gen 1:27,31 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 31.Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.. Up to the moment Adam ate of the Tree God warned him nót to eat, they both were pure, as they were created in God's image & likeness. The Tree of Good & Evil represents the law, and the law points to Christ. The Tree of Life represents Christ.

Would "non-biblical" language be an acceptable means of presenting Christ? E.g., referring to the Triune Relationship as the Ultimate Reality?

@@RichardStowe-bb8qq it seems that the verse is saying that they are not yet children of God.. I heard an interpretation that in Israel adoption could occur with own children.. For example, a father could adopt a younger son as a firstborn and grant him a larger part of the inheritance..

I’m trying to untwist over 55 years of legalism and all the lies I’ve believed about God, some days I believe I need to apologize to God for spreading rumors about him. Growing up in the Bible Belt caused me to miss what could have been a beautiful and healthy life.

The significance of the crucifixion is not functional; it is not like "God had to have his son crucified in order to defeat death, or in order to defeat evil, or in order to wash our sins away, or whatever". God is sovereign; nothing is prior to God and there is nothing that God must do in order to achieve something. God is absolutely free. Everything God chooses is a pure expression of his character. So it is because of love and love alone that God chose to incarnate in his creation and to suffer among his creatures. It is because of love that God freely accepted the injustice and humiliation and pain of the crucifixion. The significance for us of God's incarnation, teaching, crucifixion, and resurrection is in that God made his love visible in this world.

Indeed. But what is the divine law? The divine law is what describes God's will for creation: that all creatures shall be saved and all creation be united with God in the end of days. When we chose to act contrary to this will of God then we sin. Incidentally, 1 John 3 fits very well with what Paul Young says above, don't you think?

I definitely can see how easy it is to poke at religion, I grew up believing that Jesus saved me from God and that is the teaching you get in the south the so called Bible Belt. Think about it a black woman in the dirty south getting her religion from people that thought it was ok to have a black church and a white church. Then when people poke at our beliefs we get offended, really?

No need to work for my salvation, it’s already mine and God told me to work out my own salvation. He gave it to me and when I work it out I enjoy seeing how it spreads hope and love to others. Can’t nobody do me like Jesus!

@@realtomtomeny yes I carefully read your post and appreciate that you care enough to do something for others, I’m just saying you don’t need to do something that Jesus already did. Salvation is a free gift from God, don’t take credit for the finished work of Jesus. What is helpful to people is knowing how much God loves them. Jesus plus nothing! There’s freedom in Jesus.
