Whenever a book like Da Vinci Code gets published it should give Catholics a very good reason to make an effort to learn the Catechism so that they can see all of the errors that are written in a book like this.

That’s a very good point, I’ve noticed a lot of Catholics are ignorant to even basic Catholic teaching (myself included until recently.)

To me, Saint Mary Magdalene is the greatest conversion story in the Bible. She's been referred to as, "The Apostle to the Apostles." Her feast day is this Saturday, July22. I intend to light a candle in honor of Her.

I agree and and I pray that you will know forgiveness also that when some will commit terrible acts of evil in any religion and church that the pure in heart and soul will pray for God’s grace and forgiveness for them but that they will come to know the negative consequences for those actions so that they may not hurt themselves and others and that they can really realize what they have done and have the chance to turn back to Christ and know how much God truly loves all of us. I pray for all that we do not harbor resentment for those who may be deceived and misguided but rather carry compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others who are imperfect because their was only one perfect person who ever walked this earth and that is our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Hello Father Chris Star they recently did discover under the ground a cavity below be where Jesus had died on the cross and they believe that they found a preserved drop of Christ's blood and they took it to a pathologist to have it looked under a microscope and it only showed the female Mary's line of the blood. Do you know what are they going to do with this blood?

@@monicaboerma1188 i heard about this. One of the archeologists, already passed, claimed to have found the real Arc of Covenant under the Cross of our Lord. Apparently he was led there by Angels. And yes, apparent the lab proved the blood to be alive and to have only the X chromosome...Which means it might be the Blood of our Lord. The Eucharistic Miracles all proven to be the Blood of Jesus, and the tissue of the left ventricle of the heart, of the person in agony... Also only X chromosome...From the Mother... Which proves that our Lord did Not have a physical father... Our Lord is giving us all kinds of signs of His Presence with us. Apparently the blood from the Arc of Covenant is Not to be removed from there. It's guarded by the Angels.... If this is Truly the Blood of our Lord, and i belive it is, God might still be holding the final attack of demons with His Precious Blood.... The mother of Jesus did not go to the tomb because Jesus appeared to his mother first. What would you expect Jesus to do ? Don't you think he would go to his mother FIRST ? Read The Poem of the Man-God and educate yourselves.!!!!!!!!

I recall Brown promoting his DaVinci Code novel on GMA when it first came out, it made me angry as I viewed it because I carry the blood line from Wm Sinclair who built Rosslyn Chapel.

Really appreciated your candid thoughts on marriage and celibacy. My BFF and I have had discussions over this, well, not your personal celibacy, she along with many folks believe that priests should be married, they question the perpetual virginity of Mary as well. I have a special fondness for St. Mary Magdalene as one of “my” saints, and love that you can summarize everything so well with references to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 32-34 read to your friend. Not the bible verse but my opinion A person cannot have two masters. If the person cannot contain his/her lust then get married. For a father is also a teacher and a disciple but he cannot make his family his second priority for it is his reaponsibility before his God. If the family comes first then the flock loses its shepherd. The shepherd prioritize the flock.

I was engaged to a Lutheran who a few months before he proposed, enrolled in Lutheran seminary for a semester. At first, I thought maybe God was going to lead him home to the Church, but instead he talked about becoming a part time pastor or deacon. In his words, “I know they won’t let me be a full time pastor cause you’re obviously gonna stay Catholic.” It was a gut punch to me that despite knowing my views on what being part of the clergy meant and discussions how I would not want my family’s life to be put on display to a Lutheran congregation, he still felt that calling. He always said “You won’t be on display,” but it’s obvious us and our kids would, especially since I was not gonna convert and wanted to raise them Catholic. It wasn’t that sole reason that I broke up with him, but it helped clear up the doubts I had about marrying him. It may work in the Eastern Church and Deacon families handle it pretty well, but I knew in my heart I would dislike sharing my spouse with anyone, including other members, while my kids grew up.

@@jendoe9436 in Catholic there is a certain way for Married people to be blessed like priest or nuns but not as committed as them for they shepherd the flock. It is called the THIRD ORDER. I recently knew this you served God and do the routines of priest and nuns except their special right or consecration. You can search it up the net its a bit complicated for me.

Hello Father Chris 🙏 I realize this is 2 yrs old and Jesus Christ doesn’t change and was very insightful. I never saw or have read anything regarding Di Vinci code . I knew it would be against Jesus . I recently found ur channel and I feel so blessed. I do go to church Sundays but having this available during the week is wonderful. Many blessings to all involved

Thank you , Father. I fell away from the faith in my teenage years. Love watching your videos to help me have a better understanding of our beautiful faith. I was confirmed this year taking Mary Magdalene as my saint. Being a recovering addict of meth and the needle, having been possessed and brought back to the faith, I love Jesus so much and relate to her because of my afflictions. Jesus delivered me Dec 13 2019. I haven’t craved doing drugs since that day. HE left the 99 for me, a sinner. My faith continues to deepen and I know this world has a chance because if I could be saved, so can ANYONE 💜💜💜 God bless you! Jesus, I trust in you!!!!

Thank you Father Chris. This was an awesome talk! Maybe I missed something back in 2006 when Da Vinci Code movie came out, but the book and movie were both pure fiction. I took it as hollyweird storytelling and that was my response to friends that asked what I thought: It's fiction. But that's not enough, thank you for reminding me that it's important to know our faith, study history (I got you on Warren H. Carroll) and share the truth of our faith with others. God bless you Father.

Father .. today I had a dream and I heard a whisper .. Mary Magdalene.. I knew I had to find out more about her .. I got up groggy and got up to get ready for church ..then the Gospel was about her today .. I started looking for information about her and your channel came up. Thank you .❤ I will pray to St. Mary Magdalene as she will now be by new intercessor .

I praise the Holy Spirit for giving you the fervor and motivation to prepare and give these talks, Fr. Chris. I as a Catholic have binged on many Protestant/non-denominational sermons. I enjoyed and learn from them but upon listening to your talks I realize those talks rely and teachings like creationism, and existence of God and theism vs atheism, which are all good because they edify God but after a while they become tired because I relied on them as infotainment rather than to change my heart. At the end it's not about believing God, it's about trusting God. Listening to your talks have helped me grow deeper in love with our apostolic church and push me to be holy and aspire to be a saint. I am blessed to know I have an army to fight with me i.e. Mother Mary and the saints, and the devotions especially Divine Mercy that is Jesus Himself. I pray for the conversion of my family who left the Catholic church to a non denominational church years ago. I pray they no longer miss the immense grace of the Catholic church. Mother Mary if you could speak to them in dreams, I implore your help.

Thank you Father. May GOD bless you and your teachings most abundantly. Since I was a small child, I have loved Mary Magdalene. Don’t really know why and I only knew the story of the sinful woman and the anointing. I didn’t care then nor do I now. I think she’s wonderful. I truly think your theory of the “consecrated hands” is logically and mystically on the money!
