The Truth of It | What is a Woman? | Ep. 92

Is a woman more than the sum of her biological parts?
Inspired by The Daily Wire's documentary 'What is a Woman?' with Matt Walsh, Martyn Iles looks into the deeper meaning of this question that many very intelligent people across the world are struggling to answer.

Greetings from the United States! Thank you for addressing this very important question. The definition of a woman was (and still is) the prerogative and privilege of the Creator. Our opinions, our feelings, our presumptions, our current cultural influences, all must submit to the One Who IS Truth. Luke 1:38

No it’s the prerogative of the woman. Such a misogynistic patriarchal comment.

Very Good! I’m sure a virtuous woman/mother knitted that nice warm sweater for you. 😊😉 Praise God we all have our roles to play. The hard part is getting in our place before God and accepting what we know is right according to God’s Word.

I am a strong beliver in Christ and I agree that as women it is a great privilege to be a mother and it's truly a blessing. But i disagree that empowerment and independence is not Christian and that because a woman is empowered or has a career she puts her family second. There are plenty women who work endlessly to feed their families, to make a difference. The bible is full of such women who were powerful politically and quiet successful - Esther, Lydia, Deborah and many more. They still brought glory to God and were instrumental in helping Gods people and ministry. To say empowered women are not living up to their true calling is just wrong.

I wouldn't describe Esther as powerful. She was humble and had to tiptoe hoping to not get her head chopped off when she entered that throne room uninvited - that's why everyone fasted.

Note: total repudiation of conservative Christian politics at the last election, indicating the wish by the majority for separation of religion and government as a secular society, yet here you are wanting this evil bigot to lead the country. What does that say about you?

No wonder this guy is single... such a simplistic and utilitarian view of women. A bit arrogant too, but that's what I think about him whenever I hear him speak. Please just look at how Jesus treated women and learn a bit.

As a woman I believe God created woman from the rib of Adam. Eve was created physically mentally and creatively beautiful. Nurture, give strength, helper, love, selflesslyness in her world 🎉🎉🎉. I didn't become a mother, but God boost my helping skills & be the cheer leader to encourage others. Attack on woman today is beyond unreasonable and men are not simply fighting for that guy who they see in the mirror. They say if you can't love yourself than how are you expected to love others. No operation can make you be satisfied or make you love you.

Not all women become biological mothers, and not all men become biological fathers, whether due to infertility or life circumstances. But they can be motherly or fatherly towards others. Not all men or women become married either. And some men and women can be celibate or asexual, but this doesn't mean they are not men or women. It is important to remember this and not to diminish them. Was Mother Theresa not a woman, and a spiritual mother? Indeed it is written: For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. Matthew 19:12

Is a female without a child not a woman ? The bible was written by men a very long time after reportedly a person named Jesus had lived. If you quote 'god's word ' you are quoting out of a script that somebody made up out of hearsay that had been passed and changed over many generations The base of that script describes what life was like back then and what people's view on life was at that time. You don't want to seriously justify your world view on women based on that, do you ? If you do you haven't arrived in the 21st century yet.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 You don't know the history of scripture! It was written over time an all that was prophecy in scripture is and has been fulfilled. Even by your words, you have fulfilled scripture! 😔

@@Grace-nt9cc go ahead and believe what you want but don't expect other people to fall for a behaviour codex several men way back in history made up for their own convenience. God is an abstract construction that was invented to make people obey and to suppress them. There is no proof of his existence. Please don't try to tell me otherwise because I've had 70 years of life experience to think about my beliefs.

@@grandmak. So you believe that everything that is came from nothing!? I believe in a creator who spoke the world into being! In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:1‭-‬5
