The statement about filthy rags, a proper translation is women's menstrual rags. Which also are unholy, unclean as women during their cycle were to be away, her husband not to lay with her, then go thru a proper cleansing bath when done. I think this should still be the way, though Jesus told us the old testament is our schoolmaster. Not as much about actually recreating it but understanding and discerning the holy and profane.
