When Everything Falls Apart and God Seems Distant | Tony Evans Sermon

Ойын-сауық

Dr. Tony Evans discusses the story of Job, exploring the depths of suffering, faith, and God's sovereignty. Job's story of devotion amidst unimaginable trials provides a lesson on the nature of true worship and trust in God, even when circumstances seem dire.
Dr. Tony Evans emphasizes the importance of believing in Jesus as the resurrection and life, moving beyond theological knowledge to a personal, present trust in Christ's power. He challenges us to pursue faith-driven actions that invite God's miraculous intervention, illustrating how faith precedes God's transformative work.

Commitment to The Lord does not prevent trials and trouble. We go through changes, changes are to grow us in The Lord! He is making us righteous for eternity with Him! Troubles come to us all, but it depends on who/Who you are anchored in! Job represents the spirit of Jesus as a foreshadow of Him to come.(Matthew 4:1-11) Where each of us stand depends on our souls anchoring! If our Lord Jesus suffered, we as Believers will go through some of what Jesus experienced, but not to the point of death on the Cross. 🙌🏾 📖 🙏🏾 I will worship God no matter what issues arise because the issues don't last. God is forever Faithful, He is Sovereign! 💞 The Lord God is always with us! This is only a Test! Job 23:10; Chapter 38-41📖 Thank you for sharing Pastor Evans! 👏🏾

This sermon has come at a time where my family and I have been going through a job like moment. My wife health is failing and our finances are out . But I continue to pray and worship God but my wife is not. She has stopped praying and worship and her faith is failing. I pray for her and ask for prayers on her behalf. Thank God for this message today as it has fortified my trust faith and belief in him

Immerse yourself with spiritually -minded people. God forgives those who repent, so it shouldn’t matter what other people say or think . Allow Jesus to be your Cornerstone and look to Him for strength and comfort , not from yourself. Immerse yourself in the Word to comfort and encourage you . Remember , for every valley we find ourselves in, God has a mountaintop waiting for you on the other side !

God took my only child to suicide. She was saved and loved Him but she suffered from mental illness. He took my Mom 3 years later and the sweetest little dog that loved me more than any other dog loved me less than a week ago. I’m 57 years old. I married a man when I was 21 that beat me to the pulp. I remember I was 23 years old and I used to listen to you for an hour driving home, as I listened to you speak about marriage. I would pray that I would find that marriage you talked about. When I had My Daughter I found a purpose and I got away from that man. My daughter killed herself on January 19, 2018. The worst day of my life. I didn’t think that God would take everything I had. He could’ve stop Adrienne. Although Adrienne was not OK or doing things that God condoned. She knew who God was from the day that she was born. I dedicated her to the Lord when she was three years old. She went to church camp. She was old enough to know Jesus Christ died for our sins, had been crucified. She decided to baptize herself. I have notes that she is speaking to the Lord and asking for forgiveness. Letting Him know that she had let the God down the had always been by her side. not been I hear the book of Job, I’ve heard it so many times. I am not Job. I am all by myself don’t have anyone in this world, but God. I call his name and he does not come to me. He has forgotten me. I wasn’t born again Christian when I was 24 or 25. I baptize myself in my 30s. I went to church and volunteered for the foreign five-year-old. I became very sick and I’m on disability. I can turn to lose weight because everything I eat goes through me. I will be Satan in the name of Jesus Christ all the time. I do not that God loves me. I have suffered too much in my life, and I have not felt his presence or the one that I want to feel the most. The Holy Spirit presence. Borderline suicidal because the pain that I feel is too much. to think that God could have avoided all this pain and could have given my daughter a full life to live. I know I will hear free will. God is over free will too.. All these kids and young adults committing suicide. No help from above.. these kids don’t even know what Will means, but they are all dying. Yes I admit. I am very upset at God for all he has taken from me..

Job sinned..but it wasnt much . He was corrected and brought closer to the father. God is Holy if Job was innocent our father would not allow this abuse by satan . Yet all things work together for the good of those that serve Ya.

No cognitive dissonance, platitudes, or apologetics please. So tired of telling ourselves something to fill the void when god is silent at the worst times. Also, where can I find the scripture where " something was going on in heaven" while Job was suffering?

If I’m praying for something, How do I know if god wants me to do something vs when he wants me to do nothing and let him cook for me?? ……. For example I’m praying for my hair to be restored. I’m not balled or anything but I feel my hair is thinning and receding. So I feel like if I turn to medications and supplements then I’m not trusting what he can do. But idk if he wants me to go head and try these worldly methods. I feel like (a) he doesn’t really care if I have my hair or not, he just cares if I’m living for him or not. Or (b) he’s tryna teach me something before he answers my prayer. Or (c) he actually wants me to lose my hair for some type of reason that I just don’t understand yet. Or (d) he will/is answering my prayers by giving me these methods like minoxidil, and vitamins, and hair transplants. The last one could be it but I struggle to believe that’s what he wants me to do because those are worldly methods in my opinion that may or may not even be sustainable. And even if they are sustainable, I will have to rely on them heavily for the rest of my life. And basically once you commit you have to stay committed for life or else you’ll likely REALLY lose hair (like if you use these methods for a period of time and get off of them.) This is obviously very important to me. I’m only 29. I have had amazing hair my whole life. I’m 💯puerto Rican. My hair is pretty much my favorite feature. It’s honestly part of my identity. I understand that god is my primary identity before my hair or ethnicity. But honestly it is traumatic being faced with This potential reality. Going back to the original question. If I’m praying for something, How do I know if god wants me to do something vs when he wants me to do nothing and let him fully do it for me? In the meantime, what I do RIGHT NOW makes a difference. I honestly don’t have time to wait because ever day that I do nothing I could potentially be losing more hair. I definitely still have my hair for the most part right now, but it’s not the same as it used to be. I don’t wanna risk any amount of permanent loss. Even if it’s only a little bit but especially if it becomes more than a little bit in the future. Any advice? God bless.

Accepting what GOD allows without worrying... Whether it is caused by a medical condition, heredity, the consequence of attitudes/behaviors, no clearly perceived cause...no matter the cause. We must not stress about it. Paul accepted whatever he had to face & whatever state he found himself in, content in the Sufficient Grace of GOD through CHRIST JESUS. Like Job, Paul, & others we're to learn to accept what GOD allows & trust Him for the outcomes. Stay in faith, continue to hope, continue to trust in THE LORD, focus on HIM & what HE'S called you to in relationship with HIM. HE sees, knows, & loves you for you...with or without hair. Enjoy the moments you have now as you have them now; Refocus: your hair is not the sum total of who you are in the eyes of THE LORD. JESUS'S love for you isn't dependent on your hair. Be happy if it's restored, be happy if it isn't. You're alive to give HIM you (no matter how you look) heart, mind, body, soul & strength. The peace of GOD be with you & continue with you in CHRIST JESUS. ❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
