The truth about the RNLI.

I stand by my comments that the RNLI are being used as a taxi service for the trafficking gangs.
Here is my message to them...

    I was a member of the RNLI both working on the boat as a guide and collecting hundreds of pounds each year for them. I resigned after many years as the RNLI had given £3m to Bangladesh and Tanzania to buy such vital lifesaving equipment as burkinis . That year they made staff at their Head Office in Poole redundant and had a deficit fir the first time in years of £3m.. II joined the Royal NATIONA Lifeboat Institution not the Royal International Lifeboat Institution.. I will never give them another penny or work for them again.

  • @phoenixh87

    @phoenixh87

    3 жыл бұрын

    Regardless of Bangladesh and Tanzania, you'll find the RNLI is international by the virtue that it primarily serves Britain and Ireland. And also, running a deficit one year doesn't have any bearing whether an organisation is solvent... and it would be extremely unlikely that running a deficit one year would be the only cause to make rounds of redundancies unless they were approaching insolvency which they were not - there will be all sorts of other considerations such as lack of efficiency from an unnecessarily large workforce resulting in high overheads (they state this themselves). The cutbacks would have happened regardless of whether the RNLI sent money to further global efforts in safety at sea, and in my mind, sending the money is a good thing; we are lucky in this country to have the RNLI and the safety net it affords us - other countries do not, and there is little point in the organisation hoarding unallocated income where it could be used to good effect elsewhere. It is merely saving lives at sea, a mission that does not specify territory or the personal circumstances of those in distress at sea.

    I'll say again Mr Foster, that I consider personally targeting any particular member of the current Political Class futile. Why ? Because the whole System (and 90%+ of it's members) is as deeply corrupt as the miserable Regime described by George Orwell in his book 1984. If ? You disagree with Boris Johnson's latest policy (perhaps of offering British Citizenship to some 3,000,000+ Chinese from Hong Kong? ); would voting for 'Sir' Kier Starmer, bring this particular policy to an end ? We both know it wouldn't, don't we ? So …. IF you seriously wish to change the direction the post-WWII Western World has been heading since 1945; repeatedly voting for one or other of the Officially Sanctioned candidates is clearly not going to achieve anything save demonstrate the truth of the quotes shown below:- 1. ‘The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power - pure power.’ 2. ‘The masses never revolt of their own accord, and they never revolt merely because they are oppressed. Indeed, so long as they are not permitted to have standards of comparison, they never even become aware that they are oppressed.’ 3. ‘The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.’

    @@dangerroom555 They are not an emergency service. They are volunteers who give their time and sometimes lives to aid people who find themselves in distress. They are not a taxi service for illigal immigrants who knowingly put themselves at risk. If these criminals are so endangered why don't their french escort vessels take them on board? The Border Farce should be turning them back. The coast guard should be turning them back. The RNLI shouldn't be involved. It's unfair on these men and women to be continuously called upon like this. Which also has the effect of their services not being available to legitimate inhabitants of these isles when they are needed.

    @@raindancer6111 you might want to check your original comment, you called us an emergency service (which we are, as we provide an emergency, on call service to people in trouble at sea). Sadly we don't share the same view, as I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing people died because I didn't do my job. We shouldn't be in that situation, but we are, so we will. If you see issue with helping people who are a different race to yourself, then please do not volunteer as crew. We don't take financial support from governments, so we don't expect to be governed on who we can and can't help.

    @@dangerroom555 I referred in my original post to emergency services in general purely as a convient catch all phrase. But some services that the general public consider emergency services the authorities do not. I feel that your volunteers are being used to aid and abet immigrants illegally entering the country by their use of moral blackmail. I don't give a hoot where they are from. It's not as if they are setting off from a war zone. If I decided to attempt the circumnavigation of these isles on a lilo I wouldn't expect you to come out to me. With the regularity of these incursions I hope that the employers of the volunteers remain so understanding of the commitments they keep, while those that arrange these crossings grow fat on their goodwill.

    RNLI needs to rethink what they are doing. I use to give money every time I saw their collection box. Not any more. If they saved these illegals and returned them back to France as they should. This act would help save lives and discourage more from trying.. Border Force should do the same. MP Tim Loughton has been told by legal experts that we can return them back to France. And Priti Patel knows full well that is the case. But she would rather pay 54 million to the French navy to escort them out of French waters into UK waters. She must go.
