I wish I had a boat with all the fancy equipment… it was really so difficult catching crappie this year off the bank with the waters being so low and the crazy storms that happen every week. At the same time though it’s very rewarding when I finally find them and catch some. I really have to use my brain and instinct to find them so when I do get them it makes me feel good.

Thanks for the comment!! The fishing you are doing is what everyone needs to do. There are many channels out there that got livescope and started a KZread channel. You need to know how to fish without it. Even the fancy equipment fails and if you don’t know how to fish without it you will starve. I personally like fishing without electronics. I started out fishing from the bank and off docks. Finally saved up and got a 1977 Cajun for basically nothing. Once I retired from 2 jobs I was able to get this stuff. Seriously enjoy it and maybe look at a Kayak or something just to get you on the water. Again, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Prayers for your buddy. Western Pennsylvania is not in prespawn quite yet. they were active on Feb 21st and 5 of us limted out.

🎉I like this information. I feel you know your crappies. But would you be as successful without the live scope. No disrespect I’m just asking because I fish without it and I’m not very successful. I catch plenty of bass but I want crappie. So at what depth wouldI be more successful. Thanks in advance. God Bless.

Thanks for the comment and no disrespect taken. I have fished all my life, only the last 5 years with Livescope. What Livescope has taught me is just seeing the fish and realizing what they are doing. I could not have made this video 6 years ago. Between Livescope and getting more interested in what is happening and talking to biologist is where I learned the info. For you, I would suggest one of two things. First, if you have waters like we are fishing here, look for trees in the water in the 10-15 ft range. If you can get up to it, jig around it at different depths. Sometimes these fish are on the bottom like when I went yesterday. A cold front came through, they did not leave, they just went down so jig all around the trees in different depths. The second thing is look for shallow water around flats. The flats need to be in the 10-15 foot area as that is where the big girls go. Once you find that, go to the banks and start looking for shallow males. Those males will be close to the bank (most anyway, some spawn in deeper water). You will find them in 6 inches to 3 foot of water. Simply put a slip cork on and start throwing. Great question and thanks for watching. I hope I answered your question. Oh and without livescope I might be successful, but would spend a lot more time looking. Livescope helps you find the fish, you still have to figure out what type fish you are looking at and still have to figure out how to make him/her bite, which is a job all in itself! 😂

In this video I am using the 12 foot super grip from ACC Crappie Stix. That is my main go to rod, although the 15 foot that is about to come on the market is a great rod as well for when they are spooky. I am also using the Piscifun Carbon X 100 reel with 12 lb BoneHead braid. Thanks for watching and great question.

@@scottblack4016 so your belief is to simply ask for what you want in prayer and nothing else? Look all through the Bible, and they are praying for each other! The book of Corinthians is a letter and a prayer for a church that has gone astray gone the way of the Corinthians. I believe and until God shows me scripture that I am not supposed to pray for the strength of those gone astray or for a believer to have the strength to spread the gospel to someone that does not believe, I will do just that. You are the second person in 5 years that has said something negative about prayer. That’s sad, but in all reality much better than I thought it would be.
