The TRUTH About Silver - What You NEED To Hear May Not Be What You Want Hear

The truth about silver is something you don't hear much on KZread. This video gets into the ways it's similar to gold in terms of saving and stacking but dispells some of the misinformation floating around. This video isn't me telling you what I think will be popular or what I think many people want to hear, it's about what I've found in my own experience and what I think is most likely. Mostly, it's about maximizing our result if you're stacking silver.

I have preferred silver more for many eyars now because of the phycological feeling surrounding it, holding one gold coin is cool but holding 100 ozt of silver coins just feels like an accomplishment of wealth and savings, bulk silver is very rewarding for the small guys who cant afford to have a collection of gold coins...Although once you accumulate substantial silver its a good idea to start converting some of it to gold...For practical reasons for storage and transportation...As well as variety, you see people who buy gold on every corner but never see signs we buy silver...So gold is arguably more liquid than silver at least in person locally...Factor in the internet and shipping and liquidity goes out the window but sellign costs do go up factoring in shipping...Ive avoided gold for years being a silver guy and making small investments BUT these days focusing WAY more on gold for lots of reasons...I will always LOVE silver and stack it but im sold on gold lol

I stopped stacking silver a few years ago and started on gold. My thing was this: I didn’t feel comfortable holding more silver than I can reasonably carry comfortably in one hand… that happens to be just north of the 500oz mark in a strong lock box (first one broke open when carrying). Kind of an arbitrary stopping point but it’s one I stuck with. Nice video very insightful, and I agree with your points. Side note, I do regret Picking up a few silvertowne poured bars, I wanted to sell a particularly ugly pour (bought from jm bullion) and one local coin shop wanted nothing to do with it, they even acid tested, and still wouldn’t buy it when it passed. They never even heard of silvertowne.

One thing about eagles, yes they're the most valuable and liquid when it's time to sell. But they're also much more expensive when you buy, so it's close to a wash imo, especially when premiums are crazy high like they have been.

I started stacking strictly silver eagles and got to 60 oz and then switched to gold. For some reason, gold feels more like a real savings to me in that I tend to accumulate with a much more healthy mindset that doesn’t have me going nuts on option paralysis or hysteria that usually surrounds silver (perhaps just my personal perception of it). I still love watching content regarding all things PM’s , though. I just don’t care for fantasizing about a 15:1 ratio. I much prefer to calmly stack and enjoy a beer after a 70 hour work week & live my life.

I have purchased 100 ounces of silver every week since June for 6 months now. 25 weeks to get to 2500 ounces . From 100 ounce bars to 10 ounce bars to 10 kilo coins to 5 ounce round Scottsdale stackers . I have spread the average across the 6 months and spread the types of silver purchased . I also purchased all my silver from a bullion dealer who I trust and I have an option to always sell back too . He has always paid better than any coin shop I know of also better than any online dealer . His prices are also some of the best and it's rare to find someone selling for a better price than him . I have a guard house box of 40% half dollars and a few boxes of MS62-MS66 Morgan's but those are from previous crypto runs . I haven't bought gold since it went over 1400 an ounce . Silver won't run like btc or anything but it will go well beyond 100 dollars by or before 2025. Everyone said I was insane and wrong when I called out gold hitting over 1500 an ounce back in 2005 so I'm not worried about na sayers...... silver and gold are coiling up and its going to be an enjoyable ride up

I've heard too many "silver stackers" say that we need to "back up the truck" at any price point, even when spot was $28, compared to today like a month later when it's below $24. I'm such a nerd I already have my purchases planned out through October and consider myself fortunate to have started with Silver 3 years ago when it was much, much cheaper. Those that primarily Stack Gold tend to invest in other assets but pure Silver Stackers aren't as open to Stocks, Crypto or other pursuits so lesson learned on my part. This is why I subscribe to 2 is 1, an honest opinion 👊 I have nothing to argue 🤔 I’m busy this morning trying to organize all my silver 😬 Its mess! I have silver from around the world and I’m thinking I should trade it for gold that takes little room, but I’m hesitant because I will be taking a big loss. Back in the boxes it goes! Spend more money on tubes just to organize.

I will go as far as to say that as long as you express the value of silver or gold in terms of fiat that you are protecting yourself against (inflation) you are on the wrong track. If the fiat fails which on the long run is always the case, it does not matter what the value of gold or silver is. What matters is that you have it, and a lot of it if possible.

I live in Australia and I work for a Government owned Railway here. I have worked in the railway for over 30 years. It's a large government owned corporation. One thing I have learnt. They work with a 10 year plan no matter what political party rules. The 10 year plan actually works as it gives people time to plan and project without major changes to the original plan in forward thinking. And that is how I build my wealth. And it works.

A funny comment about Platinum. Not sure I follow your logic, and I certainly do not find it any smart. Why not go silver to gold if you must? Or if the gold is the end-goal, why not go to gold straight? Is this some sort of masochistic game played to loose time?? - Buy silver, then sell silver, then buy platinum, then sell platinum, then lastly, buy gold by which time gold rose and you would have been better off buying gold right away... FYI - if you knew your history, you would know that Platinum and Palladium are industrial metals and were not even considered precious before 19 century... Gold goes at least four thousand years back - it is uniquely inert, and the only metal that is yellow in color. It is not native to the planet Earth. As for Platinum and Palladium - well, they are kinda artificially maintained as precious by governmental subsidies (these industrial metals are rare, but so what is it to you? It matters to a country but not to private individuals. These metals are mostly used in catalytic converters, reactors, etc. and, of course, once all cars go electrical, their usage will wind down.. ). Anyways, good luck with "investments". Just do not forget to also have a life, as time and life are far more precious than any metal can ever be, and putting your money into metals at the expense of life experiences, well that's just stupid as any of us can die tomorrow, and you will not be taking your stash of gold with ya. I am suggesting to be a little more ambitious than visiting strip clubs- like go get a pair of $3k Audeze headphones so you can enjoy listening to quality music when you sit in front of computer. And go travel far and wide - New Zeeland, Patagonia, Nepal, Norway, Easter Island, etc... It is good to put like 5 percent of your income into metals, another 5-10% into savings for vacations, another 5-10% into luxury items that make life more pleasant. Putting more than 5% of your income into metals on regular basis is just stupid. Cheers!

This is a GREAT video. Personally, I plan to buy and hold silver forever, but I think about it like physical savings/insurance policy that's more likely to maintain value in the long term, when compared to the dollar. At the same time, I like collecting as a hobby, so I'm willing to sink an extra premium to add some novelty, since I have no intention to sell in the short term and it's useful for producing entertaining videos. As much as I love silver, I think it's important to be diversified into gold, crypto, and even fiat-- they all serve their purposes. I really appreciate the thought and consideration that went into this video. I don't plan for a moonshot, especially given what that would mean for the dollar. Similar experience here. I sold about half. I'm in Europe and here what you want for (dealer) liquidity are any well known bullion coins. Generally a maple will fetch you as much as an eagle or a Phil. That'll be 7 to 20% over spot depending on how tight the market is -- currently expect 9% or so. Bars are not very interesting as you tend to lose not only the VAT but they are also typically bought back for just under spot. Your analysis is spot on. I started stacking silver and gold in 2011 and overdid it with the silver. Some of it will probably go at a slight loss though so far everything I did sell was at a profit. Never again, I only buy gold now.

@@2is1gold thanks man. Yeah I am having fun with it but overall I’m just so motivated to save and stack more! It definitely becomes a mindset once you reach a certain point. Between my 401k, Roth IRA, HSA AND precious metals I probably save close to 70% of all my income. My wife still has her income as well so that makes it all possible. Just so motivated to build wealth! That’s why I love the perspectives you give. I have the drive, I just need to fine tune and build a better plan for the future!

Good level headed analysis. Always useful. Personally, I have bought a considerable amount of silver as a store of value and plan to have about 1/12 platinum, 1/4 silver and 2/3 gold in the physical collections, measured against fair value of the metals. In weight that works out to about a ratio of 1:10:150 in platinum, gold and silver respectively. I did buy platinum and silver only at considerable discount, 20% or more below fair value, due to their volatility. Gold I’ll buy up until when my dca is at fair value. Some diversity within a physical stack increases the chance that there is always something decently valued if it is necessary to sell part of my stack. Over here in Europe, there isn’t that much difference in liquidity between different sovereign mint silver coins.

I appreciate your realistic view of precious metals. Not as an "investment" and not as a "doomsday" end of the world item, but rather as a cash alternative savings account. Gold and silver are money...they are currency. Stacking gold and silver are like stacking cash, but in alternative currency option. It's like somebody in Vietnam keeping a stash of USD on hand instead of Vietnamese dong. Depending on what unstable third world country you might be in, Euro stacking may be preferable to USD stacking.

I have 20 odd years for it to come good. I can outwait a trader's quarterly targets and a bunch of paper that cannot make one solar panel, a single battery car or one touch screen. And when I sell it you can bet your backside that it will be an inflation adjusted and time value cost - otherwise it goes to the kids and they can decide if they want to sell.

With the hype of EV metals, especially Nickel & Cobalt, I've even added some 1oz pure Nickel bars to my stack of gold and silver. Not sure how it will perform in the future, but it doesn't hurt to grab some Nickels while it's still cheap now.
