Used to train at same gym as Macho, even got to train with him, usually legs or arms. As a joke I got him to sign 2 slim Jim cans for my nephew. He was a humble, grateful, and gracious man who genuinely loved and appreciated his fans and most of all, wrestling. RIP Randy Savage

Would be cool to see a movie about him & some other great wrestlers. Could use way more movies like “The Wrestler.” I love that movie. Something about these big tough guys who have been through it all & still keep loving that gives you an appreciation for masculinity. These men literally sacrificed their lives to bring us joy. One of the most underrated & under appreciated professions. Thanks for sharing.

Never missed a single release of a new episode. Credit where Credit is due...that was an awesome episode. Watched it a second time immediately after i just watched the brand new episode. It's going in as a Top 10 favorite, my way. It's definitely going to make for an awesome "season", considering Tegridy Farms just went through their "Season Finale" last week. Love the fact that Matt and Trey are making the show an entire season to make the show carry on from one episode to the next! Looking forward to next Wednesday!

I'm 42... I miss 80's wrestling. Macho man Randy Savage was my absolute favorite. They used to be like over the top comic book characters; suspension of disbelief seemed to be a lot easier in that format? Or maybe I was just a kid? There I was, chomping away on nacho cheese doritos (as they hadn't invented cool ranch yet). Watching wrestlemania 2.

Wrestling in the 80s! What a great time. WWF even had a primetime talk show and occasional Saturday Night Main Event. And Roddy Piper and Jesse - fantastic fun. The managers. The hosts - Vince and Mean Gene and so many characters. So glad I experienced it. Hell, I even hung out behind the arena and greeted them when they arrived.

I worked for BB&B in St. Pete in '99 and '00. Randy used to frequent my store but was very reserved. He used to ask for me by name and I would escort him to buy usually bath and bedroom related items. He was soft spoken and a nice guy. He was living by himself nearby and had no idea how to decorate so he was clueless what to buy. Many years earlier I dated a wrestlers daughter and went to several parties. Lot's of roids and blow. I could see the effects it had on Randy. His skin was pot marked badly and he seemed agitated but controlled. His death hit me hard when I learned of it. The life of a professional wrestler is a hard one. Not many come out on the other side. Many die tragically. R.I.P. brother.

I believe what you say to be true about the parties with the cocaine and the roifs I'm sure at the time it was all in Vogue. I could see Randy being very reserved and quiet a lot of type A personality people when by themselves are very reserved. They don't become on quote-unquote until the cameras turn on and they going to their personalities and or their character. Randy was bigger than life. Thank you for the insight

High levels of HGH can enlarge organs. However steroids do not enlarge organs. Certain Steroids can raise your bad cholesterol and lowers good cholesterol causing a heart attack many years down the road if left unchecked. According to this video his heart attack wasn’t from blockage though. Steroids didn’t cause it. Possibly HGH contributed but he’d have to be on high levels of HGH for many many years. Definitely possible.

My wife retired from H-D after nearly 40 yrs there. She worked in the HOG division and often times, when celebs who rode Harleys would come to Milwaukee, they'd get bikes to ride, as long as they were licensed riders. They, or their assistants, would call ahead to reserve the bikes and she got to talk to a few. Some were arrogant dickheads but Macho was one of the nice ones. She rememberred that he even called her "sweetheart" and thanked her for being so helpful.

@733Rafael its called cardiomegaly (enlarged heart)which leads to cardiomyopathy(faulty or heart not working properly)listen to ragnar.the heart gets bigger because it has to overwork to supply increased muscle growth with oxygenated blood. As the heart gets bigger the walls of the heart get thinner and eventually you get what ragnar in the comments got(not good)effectively your heart can no longer cope with the work it needs to do and starts failing, everybody that juices bigtime will suffer this(fact) to some degree, its simple really humans aren't designed to have muscles that big,so there are consequences when you try and cheat evolution.peace

I just saw Macho Man's show on A+E yesterday. And he passed away but.. it was memorable. He had a heart attack while driving. Two years ago I had a heart attack while driving. But apparently I assume, I was at a stop sign, then had just put it in gear. So I was only going 1 mile an hour when I hit a jeep at P.G. Ford. All the car salesman ran out, and they broke the window since it was in gear. And the paramedic guys gave me 6 defibrillation shocks. That's more than the Undertaker ever got. My downtime was 30 minutes. Downtime means dead. Then I was in a coma for 10 days. But I woke up in Vancouver General ICU. Which is my favorite city. I wanted to play golf right away. But they wouldn't let me out of the hospital for 2 weeks.

Steroids don't cause heart attacks. The strain comes from a gruelling schedule which was common in the 80's for wrestlers. Larger people have a lower life span than smaller people.

My brother used to cook at the IHOP in Fort Walton Beach, FL. One day someone went to the kitchen and said Macho Man was eating there. My brother stepped out and saw him sitting there with a woman. He said no one was bothering him and it was cool to see such a celebrity sitting there in such a normal setting.
