Pride is an excessive belief in one's abilities or superiority, often accompanied by a lack of humility and gratitude to God. This pride that stems from self-righteousness or conceit is a sin because it hinders us from seeking Him. If God says something is right, it is right; if He says it is wrong, it is wrong. Pride is destructive and goes against God's Word and His ways. Let us purpose to give God all the power, glory, and honor, recognizing that everything we have comes from Him!
