I have stopped putting them in containers, boxes, bags, and just kept them out of warm closets and spaces. Pretty much just store them out on a shelf in the open in a cool dry area. My closet has air vents which has really helped in the summers and in the winter my closets stay really cool. My 2016 space jams are still icey and other shoes that tend to yellow fast has slowed down every since I starting doing this.

Oxidation and yellowing of a shoe to the point of crumbling takes almost a decade to achieve. There is really no way to actually lab test this for a short period of time as this product has not been available on the market for even a year yet.

Hi Daniel. What we did is place shoes into these accelerated age testing machines which expose the shoes to more oxygen, moisture, UV light, etc. all the things that cause your shoes to yellow and eventually crumble. These machines are normally used for like power lines to see how long they last in different types of weather conditions. We conducted over 400 hours of testing which equates to a certain amount of years of actual wear. The shoe inside CapSole had on average a 2X reduction of yellowing and aging compared to the shoe that was not in CapSole. We used a pair of Air Force ones and you can see the test reports on our website and also a clip of the scientist who performed the testing. Appreciate the interest. Thanks!

It also just keeps the overall appearance looking good. Oxidation also causes the leather to crack, suede and nuebuck to fade, look weathered, and fade. Also keeps the structural integrity of the shoes intact.

Man… let them shoes be. Everything gets old, nothing is supposed to last forever.

Im older and i hoop so i was around when the kobes was getting nikeid i must have 20 pairs of kobe 6s and over the years i kept them in great condition some ds some i hoop in but that yellow got my soles like ice 😂 its really no way to stop the yellow but wear your shoes

Don’t forget that the yellowing is just because they are old, and the Glue used in the sneaker creates that with time. I like to think it as some kind of Patina and there’s nothing wrong with it. It is wrong not to clean them after use. Best Regards!

I've had my cool Grey's almost 3 years and zero oxidation. Just luck I think. They stay in the box in my closet

While these look cool, they can't completely test them no matter what they say. They're not able to actually speed up time and see what happens to shoes 10 years from now. Years ago we thought these other methods were proven as well
