    In reality these are the ancestral remnants of the origin of the samurai originally being warrior monks (Sohei). Kuji-kiri are religious rites that came from mikkyo Buddhism. There was no person called "ninja" or "Shinobi". These were samurai. Don't think of ninja as a person, but as a samurai technique. "Ninjutsu" as it's called today are just the samurai tactics of guerilla warfare. Nearly every old bujutsu used in war (Katchu bujutsu) had some curriculum of "ninjutsu". Understand this was a technique born from necessity so depending what school was taught and what they needed depended on how large the curriculum was. Some schools only had one technique, while others needed an extensive curriculum (such as the samurai of Iga province). The history confirms the vast power of the tiny Iga army once had. They had the largest curriculum of "ninjutsu" I have seen in any style of Katchu bujutsu and the samurai may have embraced it as a lifestyle a bit, but that's really the mundane origins of the "Shinobi". I keep putting these things in quotes because ancient densho all had their own terminology. The unification of terminology wasn't even a thing until well after the Edo period.

    There's a bit more to it than that. He only gave you half the answer. Mikkyo, yeah... but the postures themselves are Kuji-in, what in Yoga and other related traditions is called "Mudra". That is, meditative hand postures. Each hand position helps focus the mind on different things (say your emotional state, your physical condition, your intentions, etc). It's not magic or faith, it's basically stimming nerve points in the fingertips to subtly influence your metabolism. Ninjutsu has its own extensive sets of hand postures, but it's far from the only system to use mudra meditations.

    If he just handed all the info to Jesse in one bite, metaphorically, then what reason would Jesse have to seek further on his beautiful journey? The sensei must leave that room for growth for his/her students and believe me, Zougari REALLY KNOWS, exactly what he is talking about and honestly Jesse is standing infront of a very wise and extremely educated human being. Great job on these videos with the Dr. Jesse, and thank you for the comment explaining...more... Keep training, keep grwoing, keep flowing! To master it all in one talk or discussion would be folly because then our martial arts journey's would be over before they even really started. 🙏🙌🤘👉👈👆🔥😉😉😉

    So its just a state memory recall trick... Refocus your mental/emotional state using a memory que. Crusaders had their upside down sword/crucifix to pray to, ninjas had prayer hand postures. Another way to in some small way reclaim the person you were before your ruthless and brutal months or even years long killing spree. Maybe we should try and reintroduce chaplains to the American military to help with PTSD?

  • @guillaumelemagnen8770
    @guillaumelemagnen877011 ай бұрын

    Practice of Kuji have differents meanings depends on Countries. It cames from continent, so the chakra meaning have only purpose on Indian Yoga perspective. In Japan, it was practiced by the population who join esoterical bouddhism teaching (shingon, tendai, etc, ...). But there a lot of buddhism branch who do not use it anyway. It was also practiced by ninja just to maximise chances during their missions, to gain favors of Gods. Ninja doesn't really count on divine help however, prefering to trust their own capacities. Also, by the ancient chronicles written by Jesuits, we know becoming a monk was very common for japanese when they became old. It's was not about to pray for those who had to kill. Just an ordinary step for old people. Thank you for your honest interest for Ninjutsu Mr.Enkamp.

    Actually, ninjas are peoples with talented tricks. The magical ninjutsu that showed in films was real but not really ''magic". They use hidden inventories to make super tricks. In my study's, ninja use hand signs to communicate with other allied ninjas and that's how clone jutsu works in real life. Ninjas are full with strategies in any situation. Ninjas are special secret force that do sabotage,assassination or any secret missions. Ninjas are actually samurai that have a role to do the secret mission for their clan. They are not a mage and not all of them are Buddhist. Ancient Japanese believe in mythology and spirits. that's why many people thinked that ninjutsu was black magic.

    Ninja and Samurai were in most cases just the same. Samurai was a social stand. Being a Ninja (shinobi no mono) means you are a Samurai spy. Being a Ninja was just a job. A very special job.
