"Companies don't like to admit they're wrong." ??? Kpop stans need to stop trying to rewrite history. HYBE supported Garam from the very beginning of the controversy and stood by her for so long that so many people began to claim that she must be a rich or the daughter of a shareholder or higher up in the company. Some people even tried to insinuate that she had s** with Bang PD. At the end of the day, it was best for HYBE to let her go, for her sake and the sake of the remaining Le Sserafim members.

I agree. They supported her for a while, but when companies do their job like standing behind their artists, they're accused of favoritisim, inappropriate activities with higher-ups, being rich, etc. It's furiating. But then when they finally give in after a long battle and let her go for her mental health and the group, they claim HYBE is wrong for it and that they did everything wrong.

Hello! I'm still like not even 1/4th way through, but just wanted to explain the "want to be better than others" part! In one of the survival shows, a mentor once said to the trainees that, "if you prepare 150% in practice, you will be able to give your 100% in performance". I think the same logic applies here too... Kazuha joined pretty late compared to Sakura, Chaewon and Yunjin, plus she had 0 experience with k-pop dances (she used to be a ballerina). So she had to catch up with the skills that the other three, who had been in the industry for a long time, very fast. That's why the trainer says, she needs to practice to get better than others. If she practices with that in mind, only then will she gain skills fast enough. If she gets envious of their skills (in a good way ofc), only then will she pra tice hard enough. So by the time the group debuts, Kazuha would be on a level field as other members.

1:32:45 The whole drama with garam started the day she was revealed as a member almost an entire month before their debut so the management team kinda knew what was going/what might happen (or they only knew some parts bc at first it was just rumors of her being an iljin/troublemaker/part of a gang). They tried to defend her for as long as they could but eventually the bullying rumor came out along with a statement from the other girl’s lawyer and documentation of the punishment she received and the gp was unforgiving + people stopped tuning into the group and stopped buying the album. Also garam was getting so much horrible hate that along with everything else, I think Hybe thought it would be best to let her go. They probably mixed footage of the rest of the girls practicing the 5-member formation after Garam left.

What really sucks is that it turned out she was innocent/didn't commit the acts she was accused of and yet there's still so many people out there who are determined to make her out as a villain. A 17 year old girl! Not to mention the accuser swayed the opinion of the public (the public shouldn't really have an opinion to be honest, they weren't there when it happened and neither should they even have a say) by playing a nasty publicity trick that most would advise not to do + Kakao being out to ruin every other group except theirs, like IVE (as a Dive, I'm sad that they're under such horrible people, but we can't do anything about them because they're the higher ups). When cases are still being investigated, both sides are not to release ANY information until the case is over, in order to remain neutral in the investigation. But nope, "Yoo Eunseo" decided that they were going to release "information" about Garam commiting these hideous acts to try to ruin her reputation, which sadly worked in their favour. AND the information leaked by Yoo Eunseo's legal team were fabricated to only show one perspective. The level of punishment Garam recieved wasn't based upon a specific guideline, like "if you commited physical violence, you get a 6+" rather, the school decided. I don't have much knowledge in the Korean school system, so mistake me if I'm wrong, but there's some people on KZread and Tiktok who've explained it much better than me. Basically, Garam did have some faults, she was immature and decided cursing out someone was the right way to stand up for a friend instead of talking to an adult, but what she was accused of that was so intense, that was completely false. It was obvious from the start Yoo Eunseo was out to ruin Garam's career and dreams. Either way, I wish Garam the best. Eunseo too, though she was the perpetrator in this event. We can only hope Eunseo matures and realizes what she did was wrong.

People still dont understand how kpop industry works. Chat be doing so much "they are minor, and this and that" If you yourself think how fuck up this is, don't you think they don't know about it? its always gonna be pros and cons. Yes, trainees are young to go all though that, I do agree. they know that already. No one is forcing them to go all through that. if you think that's harsh, you will not survive in the real world, and being an idol in the real world is 100 times harder. Edit: Chat keeps bringing up Garam issue. why is she not showing? because her contract is already terminated. Company will get sued if they show her. And no, they can't just magically bring her back to the group even she is proven innocent. We don't know behind the scene what kind of agreement she had went she left the company. We'll never know that. Imagine, her leaving the group already affected the future plans of LS. Company have to adjust everything without Garam. if she decided to come back, they will have to adjust again. Dont tell me that "Hybe is a big company they have the resources." But I'm sure LS management don't have time to redo all of it just for Garam to comeback. and what? so that kpoppies nitpicking on her again and bully her. Dont get me wrong i love Garam and been neutral. But I think its better this way. Let the girl rest for a while, and if being an idol is what she wants, I'm sure she'll pursue it again.

They cut her out of the documentary in order to stay away from legal issues, due to Garam no longer being under HYBE and it being illegal to include her without parental consent. Honestly, I think they probably shouldn't have even released it. I appreciate how hard all these girls worked to get their dream, wish the best for Ruka in the future too, but you literally just cut out some of the most important information which is Garam being in the group! She got cut off because of the legal issues, but that puts a damper on the whole experience because the hardships were faced by the ENTIRE group. They would've been better off not making it at all.

@@hanykpop We can't blame HYBE for everything, though. They might've been able to try to salvage Garam at least a little bit, but they didn't which sucks, but they can't control everything. I said under another comment that Yoo Eunseo's side played a dirty publicity stunt by releasing/leaking "information" from the case, when in court, you are not allowed to release anything until you get the okay from the judge or the case is dismissed. By doing that, they were able to sway the publics opinions and ruin Garam's image. HYBE can't do anything about that, other than releasing what Garam's statement is according to her. The "protecting a minor" thing probably wasn't the best wording on their side, they could've just explained they aren't allowed to release information, so that's also probably why they got faulted for Garam's departure from the group. Because of their "poor handling of the situation". So yes, they did handle the situation poorly by not explaining everything on their side, but all the other stuff, they can't be blamed for.

for the age part, bro there is only 1 underage member in the group, all the others are 18 and over, the way you are talking is like all of them are 14, are you mixing them up with New Jeans, what is going on here? And like every entertainment in our society, we see child actors, classical pianist that train really early, just look at any sports that has big money and future and you see kids training day to night for basketball, football, tennis, their parents paid for lesson and they go to academy for that aiming to be pro. Look at European soccer, there are 13 years in professional clubs scouted to be in their junior squad. Kpop is no more special than those industries, if all the other industries are acceptable norm, then this is the reality. Has anyone watched the Le Serafim documentary? There it is shown how difficult it is to become an idol Behind the 3 permanent members that can't be replaced like Sakura, Chaewon and Yunjin At the beginning of the formation of le seraphim There's something odd about one of the participants who failed, namely Haruka was not edited but actually displayed Was she deliberately featured to promote her at next year's event on MNET I LAND 2 Girl So that the public knows him first In addition editing kim salt is he the last member added or before eunchae after kazuha But salt editing is really perfect On the other hand Some members have their own stories Like Miyawaki Sakura left all the comforts of popularity she had gained during her 10 year career in Japan and took the risk to start over from scratch as a trainer in a foreign country and debut again While Chaewon wants to change an image that is more different from when he was in izone he wants to challenge himself While Yunjin after being cut Pledis entertaiment he decided to return to the USA to return to school and prepare for college There were many offers from other agencies that he got but were turned down because they would focus on his education But a call from HYBE made him change his mind and hope this will be his last chance to debut He went from the USA back to Korea Why does yunjin want to because he will be a permanent member in project S And it's impossible to replace as for Kazuha's story, she had to give up her dream of being a unique belerina. Her roommate when she became a belerina was Korean. Kazuha is one of the members with the worst dance but because she keeps on learning her skills improve Lastly Eunchae is a little boy who was suddenly called while he was having lunch and was announced to debut with the project S Eunchae is young and energetic

I don't know.. the higher ups are asses but their instructors for dancing and singing are pretty nice. If it wasn't for the feedback they got they wouldn't be as good as they are right now. It's funny seeing chat say a literal dance instructor is doing too much for critiquing a trainee in a way that wasn't even rude honestly. It's like some people don't want them to be corrected at all 💀 For the appeal thing, I take it as lacking charisma, charm, stage presence which could have been true at the time. Some idols do. I think a lot of kpop stans need to be honest with themselves and get over the idea that "everyone is great" not everyone is good at everything they do especially not in the beginning. Yes they all work hard and that should be acknowledged but if you're not at a certain level that's just what it is and if it wasn't for teachers like this they'd debut and have everyone making fun of them because as audiences even if you aren't necessarily good at something yourself a lot of people can see or hear when something is off. I don't deny that there are very ridiculous or even abusive instructors but these ones they have seem to have good intentions so it's interesting. That chaewon clip probably looked great to most people but if the teacher asked her to perform at a certain level of energy and she didn't or is used to her performing far better than what we saw I can understand why she said what she said. If anything her acknowledging it was okay to have bad days was what was surprising because strict teachers typically act like it's prohibited. I don't know the industry has it's fault of course but a lot of people try to make it seem like every single thing that happens is the worse thing imaginable. That being said the weight issues in this are just awful and it's a sad sight to see, I'm glad they spoke up for themselves at the very least. Unfortunately that's just how society is everywhere really just with different standards of /how/ skinny but it won't change unless people make an effort to.

@@nlual9983 I just checked and noticed that the issue was cleared a few days ago..it was indeed a shame that she's no longer in the group, so it is a fault from my side that I only found out now. I do hope she can be successful somewhere else, but I am still glad that the group managed to continue their activities. They worked too hard to let the issue ruin their future tbh. And I'm not saying that Garam didn't work as hard, but the other members also deserve to continue their activities w/o having to face the anger of the public bc of garam's issue ..

She has moved on completely she’s going school and she’s happy with where she is right now. She released a statement she is innocent but I think she wouldn’t rejoin even if she had the chance. ok wait im so glad you reacted to this. there are so many topics that i've been thinking that were addressed in this stream and i'm glad there are people who agree. regarding the bullying scandal, just to give it context, bullying in korea is REALLY intense so any sort of bullying allegations is considered REALLY serious. especially a level 5, which to put a visual on it, there was a case where someone fed(?) another student a cigarette and got a level 3. of course it varies from school to school but if that's the case, it doesn't quite line up with some of what hybe said-- but im neither saying garam was innocent nor guilty; im just stating it as it is. so unfortunately, even if hybe tried to defend her, theres not really much they can do after a certain point. its either let one member, who only debuted 16 days prior, go or let the groups reputation drop because of the rumors that just wont stop. next, i want to address my personal pet peeve about kpop companies and industries. first, a quick disclaimer, Kazuha is my bias in the group so don't think my words are bashing her or anything. but regarding kazuha and back-end entry idols. i feel like its so disrespectful that companies do this. how are you going to recruit a ballet dancer with no singing or kpop dancing experience over someone who has been training for forever? like you're telling me you went out to the netherlands to find a new person for the group when there are probably countless of other trainees in the other room practicing, begging for a chance to debut? that's so... that sucks... and debuting them at a young age. well, that just speaks for itself and it was addressed in the video but ig i'll just reiterate. it's actually quite disgusting that companies are prioritizing young age and potential over anything else. like with male groups for example, instead of ruining their career later down the line because they all have to leave for mandatory military service, have them serve first before debuting. have them debut after they at least graduate high school so that if they end up not debuting, they actually have a chance at a decent career. its EXTREMELY difficult to get a job in South Korea without higher education qualifications, meaning for most decent paying jobs you need at least a bachelors. its like theyre setting them up for failure... its not fair and frankly abusive... and finally, the harsh practice conditions. although it sucks, it's their job... unfortunately, that's the reality. by not constantly performing your best and letting letting lazy or "imperfect" runs occur, your body unconsciously starts to lose strength, so even when youre performing at your best, it's not considered "good enough" or up to standard with other idols. remember, these girls have to essentially compete with other idols with years, maybe even decades of experience. you can't take that lightly. i know a lot of people, based on what chat was saying during chaewon's part, were saying that it was too harsh, but that sort of mindset just screams theyve never competed seriously before. especially nowadays, new idols are like debut every other day, its tough trying to be famous... thanks for reading opinions haha feel free to comment your own thoughts agreeing or disagreeing with me

Seb needs to understand how f up people are. People do not care about the truth. They always look for the reason to shit on idol groups, and Garam was the perfect reason to shit on LSF regardless of the truth about Garam and the accusation. As an idol group you can not afford to have that negativity following you all the time. It isn't about whether the company was right and wrong. It was just the circumstances were all f up.

I'm not sure what's off about saying having envy and ambition, but I think it's very present in many cultures, not just for us asians. I've watched western tv competitions and reality shows and i've heard it too. mind you, they plan to become idols, they are not expected to be stagnant. They need to grow not just as performers but also as people. To grow, you need ambition. To be inspired, you need to feel envy (not in a negative way u think) for what others can do. This is a statement of confidence among trainees that all of them have the same potential and that ambition can lead each of them to grow individually, and consequently, as a collective. Also, just wanted to point out those trainees who don't make the cut for the debut team are not cut off. They're not kicked out of the company. They continue to train to be better and more prepared for a much more challenging idol life. and like the girls said there, Ruka was still pretty young. She has more to improve on. Would like to point out also that Garam (the member kicked out but now shown in this docu), was thoroughly investigated and the bullying allegations were proven to be true. I for sure would not support anyone with problematic backgrounds like this. I feel bad for her failure to continue as an idol, but I won't say she didn't deserve it lol. Idk about u guys, but idc how young, bullies are bullies. Discipline is due. She was very much protected by the company too. She was not kicked out until much later on after the investigation. They even denied it at first. But i will always side with the victim lol. Let's not look at this with the perspective of her falling off her dreams, but more of the victims getting their justice. :)

i was agree with you until the last paragraph , no garam was not proven guilty of bullying acusation , in fact she never bullied anyone ,she release the full 10 pages of the SVC document given by her school who prove she never bullied anyone , she receive a punition because she curse and confronte the "victime" who take nak*d pictures of garam friend and put in on internet , everything is written on the document , so if you want to side with this kind of "victime" it's your choice but don't spreed false information about garam , you already ruin this girl dream so you don't need to make lie about her.

your last paragraph is incredibly false. please do more research on the topic before spreading harmful information like that none of her bullying allegations were proven true at all. bullying denotes "habitual" and "constant" behavior, none of which was proven anywhere. the main conflict was between her and an individual party, yoo eunseo also, "always siding with the victim" is absolutely stupid. so you're telling me, any anonymous source can just make a claim as a victim and you would believe them no matter what? thats some dumb logic. it was a middle school spat, that's it

about lesserafim doesn't mention Garam after she proved to be innocence, because she has left hybe (not the group) cause her contract got terminated.it's mean that Garam become a commoner and doesn't have any business with hybe anymore. Lesserafim member can still contact Garam privately but not publicly, I guess it's because the company prevent them to or because Garam now just an ordinary citizen. If you ask why Haruka is mention in this documentary. My guess it's because she still a trainee under hybe. Edit : i think it's for the better that Garam leave the group and take a rest. At first when I heard about this group, I though that they gonna be like (I really doesn't want to mention other group but😖) IVE. That Sakura, Chaewon, and Yunjin gonna leave a really big shadow to the other member. I thought the company gonna play favoritism on those three and ignore the other. But thankfully, they treated equally in the group and they also shine on their own. So please show some support on this girls, accept what happened to the group and move on!!

Like once the gp and korean consider garam guilty then she will always be guilty. There was no way to save the situation, korea is awful tbh. And its probably the best to not show garam here bc that would be exploatation like you said, and probably the parents didnt want garam to be show here and expose her like that AGAIN. Bc at the end of the day garam cannot give any permission only her parents can do. And as a parent i wouldnt let my kid keep being in the industry when every single kpop fan and public in general is insulting her and calling her whatever they want to
