one way ive heard about how to figure out if your skin or oily, dry, normal, or combination is at the end of the day take a piece of toilet paper or tissue paper and put one on your forehead, chin, and both cheeks. if they stick, you’re oily, if they stick for a second and then fall you’re normal, and if they fall immediately you’re dry. if they stick in some places and fall in some places you’re combination (most commonly they’ll stick on your forehead or chin, that’s called your t-zone) but always remember that wether you’re dry or oily or normal your skin always needs both cleansing and moisture and often oily/dry skin can be caused by too much of one and not enough of the other

But to start off, I love how you get right to the point of every product, and you make it short. You are so informative on what to use, why to use it, and why not to use a certain ingredient. I think it's really easy to learn the ingredient lists pros and cons based on your opinions, for users like me who have no idea how to understand the ingredient list and want to learn. Third, even though you make it short and right to the point, you still show us your personality here and there in the video, which makes the person watching it immediately connect to you, you're funny and relatable but don't waste people's time. And fourth I also noticed we have the exact same fav products, haha so will definitely look at your opinions before buying something idk. So in general I don't depend on youtube to buy products, I always like to research myself based on my needs rather than what's popular, but after finding your videos: I'm really looking to hear your opinions on all products int the future. Really do appreciate it.

I've tried a few things and here's what I've found if you're interested (I have dry acne-prone skin). The Good: Soy cleanser -- it last forever and doesn't strip the skin Umbrian Clay mask -- Last a long time, I personally find that it does a great job at tackling redness. I've used it as an overnight spot treatment and have woken up to noticeably smaller and less red pimples. My main con is the price but the travel size is more feasible and still last a while. The Meh: Rose Hydration mask -- I guess it does add a little hydration, but not enough to justify the price. It smells nice and is a fun experience but it took me forever to get through just because I never used it since it didn't do much. Hydrating eye cream -- I get eczema on my eyelids and it did help calm down a flare up and prevent another, but not any better than other eye creams that are cheaper. The Bad: Lip balm -- I got a sample of this from sephora and at first I liked it but after a few days of consistent use I noticed that it seemed to be drying out my lips. On top of that the skin around my mouth was noticeably red and irritated. The only plus is the smell (similar to lime skittles).

They have tonssssss of fragrance in them! My mom has used it for years, so I was staying over at her house one day and left my skincare at my house. I used her stuff, went to sleep, and woke up with huge zits and redness! I also have sensitive skin so it could’ve just been my skin being super temperamental! I would personally try k-beauty brands instead bc they have super similar ingredients you’ve just listed and a lot of it is much cheaper!

I love, LOVE their secret sauce moisturizer for nighttime, on my third jar I think. It has nice ingredients, moisturizes so nicely and leaves a gorgeous glow without greasiness. I know it has fragrance as an ingredient, but imo it isnt heavy at all and doesnt bother me or my skin, and I'm actually usually pretty sensitive to fragrance in my products especially if they have a "warm" scent.

The Bubblewrap is the most amazing product i have ever used. I have dry, puffy, and sensitive eyes and i have so many issues with under eye creams. I gave up on them and just used regular moisturizer. Even with that, nothing helped, until Bubblewrap. I can’t even begin to explain how much this product saved my eyes. Less puffy, no more lizard skin, no more cracked skin. Another bonus, it doesn’t have caffeine!!!! Caffeine in eye cream is bullshirt and does nothing but irritate and dry mine out more. I legit squealed when you showed Bubblewrap as your favorite product!

beverly dejesus you will not be disappointed. It isn’t too thick that it will give you millia, but it isn’t so thin it does nothing. It is a nice silky consistency and it packs a punch. I cannot day anything bad about it honestly. I have been disappointed by so many products (looking at you Kiehl’s avocado eye treatment). It sits well under makeup, it is so comfortable, i don’t normally wear eye cream overnight, but i have put this on and it didn’t make my eyes puffy in the morning, which everything except rosehip seed oil and aquaphor/Vaseline does. I just cannot stop gushing about it. I really hope it works for you!!!

It is awful in the winter/spring, but my under eyes get so dry they crack and in the crease of my wrinkles so i have open wounds and I’ll only put aquafor or Vaseline there. They are also flaky and bumpy so i have to be extremely careful. I got this at the end of spring when the cracking, etc. was clearing up. I am not comfortable recommending it to you, i would talk to your doctor and have them look through the ingredients and do their professional thang! My eyes also, no matter the weather or season, they are so swollen in the mornings, especially puffy if i put skincare under them. I have found Rosehip seed oil and this doesn’t make them puffier, which rocks. i use an ice roller i got from Amazon that is awesome. (I also will ice roll my face for 10 to 15 mine during my self care time, oh man is it soothing) i DO feel comfortable recommending one of those, as long as ice or cold doesn’t exacerbate anything. I also get what i can only describe as lizard skin, it’s not milia, 100% certain of that, but this has plumped up my skin that it has become noticeably smoother. I encourage you to bring it up Bubblewrap to your doctor and ask them. I’m sorry :(

I’m not a professional but here’s my two cents on the matter anyway: If I remember correctly, petrolatum isn’t a hydrative ingredient, just protecting, sealing away any already existing moisture to the lips/skin so it doesn’t leave the skin f.ex. in cold/windy weather

I’m finally able to spend a little bit more money on my skincare despite being older (almost thirty lol). I really don’t know where to start but their videos and photos and all of the hype made it sound so classy and adult. My seizure meds make my skin really difficult and I’m overwhelmed. Their prices are high but I’m at a point where I figure I need to take care of myself and pay that bill. This video saved me that heartache of losing money. Now I can spend it on skincare that works better for me. From the bottom of my heart thank you for putting in the time for this video.

AuroraSK two words ... Korean skincare do your research on products for your skin type, when to apply actives etc also don’t just buy the “popular” products because they may not get on with your skin type but if you do buy a popular product buy them for your skin type also avoid Sephora go to yes style they always have a sale on and are affordable shipping is a bit pricy and expedited shipping takes like a week or two but it’s worth it

@@smexypanda89 There are also a lot of other asian beauty sites out there that carry the same items as yesstyle but for less because YS definitely has a bit of a markup imo. I only go to them when I can't find the product elsewhere. Also not as hyped but always have quality products and at the forefront of skincare imo along with Korean products are Japanese products. So that is another option as well. But number 1 thing: Try to avoid fragrance and essential oils (natural fragrance) in products like hyram and dermatologists recommend. They can trigger delayed onset of breakouts for some people. Also look into things that will repair your skin barrier (to make your skin happy again). Ceramides and niacinamide is your friend. Brands like Cerave, though not flashy or visually appealing, are very effective and formulated with skin health in mind rather than marketing a brand/selling an experience. They are bang for your buck and you can run to the drugstore to get them immediately. Tbh, I would try to heal/calm your skin with these kind of brands first before going the asian beauty route.

hi! ive been watching your videos for a while and your comments on things like exfoliants and makeup wipes(and *so* much more) but it is hard to piece everything together. myself and other people i know would like to see a whole video on a your ideal skincare routine rather than notes over so many videos. much love💖

Light Y it made me skin super dry and sore/red and broke me out. As soon as I stopped using it things went back to normal. Everyone is different though so I hope it works for you! :)

Light Y I did and I think it was specifically the BHA that I reacted to because I’ve been using an AHA on its own with no problems.

You nailed it at the beginning of the video. Lol. It is amazing how much a difference packaging can make! It makes me think about the glow recipe banana cream. I literally just want that stuff because it has bananas and it looks so pretty. I'm like, no girl, stick with your "Paula's choice".
