*Just wanted to add that takara and hasbro use ZINC ALLOY on their beys (read the manuals and on both you will find there). Zinc alloy is completely safe, but costs more than lead than cadmium, so fake brands use these (which also helps the fake bey to weigh more to compensate the cheaper plastic), and thats very disgusting and dangerous*

Ways to spot fakes. 1. Look for logos on the boxes on the photos. 2. Watch out for the stickers' quality and colour quality. 3. Beys that are way too cheap are most likely fake.

I just got fake metal saga beys for Christmas. Just gave them all lead tests and thankfully there was no lead to be found in any of them.

Even if he "didn't know" promoting fakes is ILLEGAL and against KZread's guidelines. 3. He makes clickbait videos, too, which is a BIG NO NO! Zankye removed his video on fakes because it most likely was too harsh on SBF, yet people are still hating on Zankye 🤦‍♂️. Even if it was too harsh, Zankye was right. I'm not defending Zankye on going a little overboard, but that's not an excuse for SBF's irrational response.

Kevo. Thank you for this information. This needs to go around the whole community, even to parents of kids because parents want to go for the cheaper prices instead of the more expensive. Like Prime Apocolypse is like $70 and a fake one would be like $5. The parent would think the $70 one is a scam and the $5 one is the real one since the toys are made of plastic parents know that plastic isn't very expensive. So not just the beytuber community should get this information because for example we have Zankye's video and Your video on fake beyblades. So all beytubers and beyblade fans know everything about this lead information. So if parents, people who don't watch this, get this information in order to protect their children from having to go to the hospital or even dying cause lead can kill humans. Yesterday i went to see my little cousin who like beyblades I brought over my hasbro beys. He showed me his beys, it was a z achilles and winning valkrie. I was surprised that they had metal on the layer. His parents said they got them on amazon, that instantly rose some supicion because i know amazon is loaded with fake beys. i noticed that they had the wrong parts. ( z achilles had the 2 disc and i think the accel driver and valkyrie had a rusted disc with another accel driver). I also noticed that the teeth were completely wonky. Achilles teeth were extremely tight and valkyrie's teeth were super weak like doomsizor's slopes. We battled for a while and notice that valkyrie had normal philips screws. i checked his achilles and it was the same thing. i asked him about it he said they're real. He says yes. then i ask if they came with stickers he says yes ( they beys didnt have them applied) later i asked if they had stickers again and he said no but after asking again he said they did. I knew wat I needed to know i told his parents about it and showed they the two trusted beyblade manufacturers and left. ( i dont know if they took them or what

There really should be a sort of an option on Amazon (ect) that reports fake beys

I used to buy a bunch of Beyblades on eBay for pretty cheap, and I don't really use them much anymore because I have newer ones (from Takara Tomy and Hasbro to my knowledge), but should I still be concerned?

a way to tell if Beyblades are fake is if they have regular screws they should have tri-wing screws on any online website if they say spinning gyro toy or don't have TAKARA TOMY logo in the pictures then it is fake.

Kevo i agree just putting the extra variable in, just something done during experiments. But I’m also aware that bootleg toys do indeed contain lead in paint and such because of cost, the extra variable is just to keep in mind that any copper might exacerbate the results! Not trying to disprove/discredit anything here lmao. Sorry for the miscommunication. Also I may have accidentally purchased a fake drain fafnir, once I get it if it’s fake I’m going to try to return it, if not I’m chucking it because I don’t want anything to do with it lmao. Bakugan By Liam No worries! Sorry if I came off rude as well. If you do end up receiving a fake the best thing to do is to try to get a refund. Usually Ebay/Amazon will refund you if you can prove the item is counterfeit. Other than that I have a video posted on my channel that contains some tips and advice on how to buy genuine beyblades so you can refer to that if you’d like.

All of my beyblades tested positive for lead. I received a 100% fake and since I was concerned I bought a lead test, the same one you used and administered it to the fake. Lead was present. Out of curiosity I tested all my Beyblades and ALL of them tested positive for lead. I have several Takara Tomy beyblades as well as some Hasbro beyblades that I got at my local Walmart (in Canada) and the test determined all of them likely contained lead. I never battled the Hasbro's against the Takara Tomy or battled with the 100% fake I received. What am I missing here? I need help/advice.

omg thank you so much.. you saved my little sister's life.. she is just 2 years old and my dumb self introduced her to the beyblades (which is fake) and hoping for her to play beyblades when she gets old.. Thank god I kept my fakes in a box and that preventing my sister to touch it.. I will now keep it in the store and never play them again.. (I still have few TT beys that I still play)

I learned a lot from this vid, good on you for looking out for the safety of fellow Bladers. I never bought fakes (I did get scammed with some but I refuse to even use em) because I never trusted those shifty companies to begin with but this just makes it clear not to purchase counterfeit products. Also, the swab turning red was honestly pretty creepy to me, just knowing how dangerous they are is scary.

Hi brother(puttysquad?)! I just found your channel today, but I was told by many that you made a very good video about this issue. It is very informative, and love the way you did it. I did want to add, that another way that these parts, and especially the metal parts contain lead (not just paint). The way metal parts are manufactured, lead is an additive to make metal heavier. That's another reason the forge disks gave a positive reading, and the Longinus layer. Another way we hurt the world.. all these will go to landfills and poison the environment.

i watched this from beginning to the end and im not even subbed to you or know who you are, im just a 29 yr old boomer who wanted to get back into collecting beyblades and stumbled across this video, sorry to hear about all this drama and hope its over now that its been like 2 or 3 yrs but thanks for the testing and trying to keep ppl in the community safe!!

Can you tell by looking at the metal part? It seems some are dull looking and some are shiny.

I’ve got 3 fake beyblades that I’ve had for about 3 years, and I’m just now figuring out they’ve got lead in them. I personally haven’t had any symptoms or stunted IQ or anything. Of course I don’t eat my beyblades, or purposely try to breathe air very close to them, but I think the beyblade community is kind of just saying “This is really bad do not use these beyblades” instead of looking at if they are actually unsafe to handle. Because a toddler suckling on a bey and a gamer beyblade user are two very different things.

Yo kevo does launchers from fake brand have lead or cadmium?

I'm not going to defend SBBF but he could be like me some years back in the fact that I would never have even thought to check if the products might have harmful stuff in them. For a long time I was an idiot and thought all companies were completely trust worthy and cared about people more than money. Although he could just have never thought it could be dangerous. He might have been under the same belief as I use to. Infact I wouldn't have even known about this if you Kevo and Zanky did not make videos on it since I would never have looked that up since I'm to lazy plus I already avoided fakes since I don't like the idea of buying bootleg or counterfeit stuff now I have even more reason to avoid buying that stuff. So thanks for doing this and helping keep people safe!

@@itsdrakegd981 about Drago, Zankye made a reddit forum about it. Drago apparently admitted that he was more in the wrong and that him and Zankye made up. So Drago and Zankye are finally chill with each other. I was so relieved. I would hate to continue hearing back and forth between the 2

I recently bought a knockoff of the exact Beyblade at 4:45 for my little brother, he has started eating an unusual amount of corn chips recently. I think the poisoning has gone too far, I may need to get him put down.

i think some people here are forgetting one thing which is the price and availability of the beys because not every money has the same currency and some aren't rich to buy some, some would buy fakes just to have fun, also theres no more lead on flame like flame brand but the others have
