As a black man, when I lived in Thailand , I was more desirable than 95% of the white men. I was considered exotic in the eyes of the Thai women. I did live in Pattaya. Most of the women there were from Issan, where the people have darker skin. Bangkok consists of Thai people whose lineage goes back to China, and that can make a huge difference in preference.

I was in the Philippines last year. Pretty much the same experience. The difference in the Philippines, from what I can tell, is that PH women will take time off work to stay with you the whole time you're in country. They REALLY don't want you to start window shopping. I was there for 2 weeks in Cebu and saw maybe 6 other black guys the whole time. So, if you're black then you're a magnet for the women who specifically like black guys. I definitely returning.

I have to say, this guy is on point!...I traveled to Thailand, Philippines, Korea and I must say Thailand was my favorite place, I had absolutely no issues with the populace and the women were treating me like the prize. I don't know why American men continue to struggle with women who don't appreciate them, are only out for the most part for themselves and consider themselves a prize, especially when they bring little or nothing that can compare to Asian women in their country. I am lucky to have dated the whole asian pacific rim right here in America, but that's only because I know how to approach them, but don't get me wrong, in America, they still are conditioned to date only white men, and only the few 1 to 5% will date a man of color. With that said, I'm in my 60's and I just don't see myself dating a 60 year old women here. I go to Asia for beauty and age, and that's what I get. So, if you are still struggling with your American dream, just go to Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia or Vietnam and experience a couple of weeks to introduce yourself to something new and exciting. And also lets be frank, most societies, even if they identify you as "black" will still see a lighter skinned "black" person, which will mean some level of non-black ethnicity. Lighter skin WILL give you an edge in the racist world we live in (some of the most apprecaited for their beauty "black" female celebs are mixed-Mariah Carey, Halle Berry, Zendaya, Yara Shahidi, Lisa Bonet, Zoe Kravitz, Beyonce ...I mean you get the picture) while still preserving your "exotic" factor.

The girl mentioned was clearly a freelancer as a normal Thai girl would not sleep with a falang on the first night. If we’re talking about freelancers or bar girls, cash is king so a percentage will be willing to spend time with a black man. A non pro Thai girl however would be more difficult to date as a black man - due to cultural stigmas - but it is not an impossibility if you well groomed, kind and importantly have money!

@@thenomadconsultant I haven't been to Thailand in a long time but at the time I was there many relationships between foreigners and Thai women weren't strict p4p but had a monetary component. I'm not saying this is your case but it's not uncommon. It's pretty common for Thai women to meet men online, pick them up at the airport, spend the guys vacation with them and the guy gives them a gift/money or even sends money while he's away. Again, I'm not saying that was the case with you but I knew several guys whose Thai dream girls had non-existent office jobs or had part time jobs that didn't pay enough for their lifestyle.
