The TRUTH About Conspiracy Theories (Or Is It?!) | Dr. Peter Malinoski

Get out your tin hats, today we’re talking conspiracy theories! 👽
JUST KIDDING, no tin hats required! But we are talking not about conspiracy theories themselves, but how to survive in a world where sometimes, the line between the truth and the conspiracy is…a bit murky. Or is it?!
I’m so blessed to have Dr. Peter Malinoski back on the show to chat about this. We chat about some fascinating questions, such as how do we tell the difference between the truth and a conspiracy? Does it really matter, meaning, is it on us to figure out what's going on behind the scenes? How do we not fall into the sin of trying to be omniscient? Is doomsday prepping good, or can people take it too far? Is Christianity a conspiracy theory?!
And finally, how do we talk to and love friends and family who have taken the whole conspiracy thing a little too seriously?
And as always, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to our KZread channel so that you never miss an episode of the Chris Stefanick Show!

THANKYOU! This is SOOOOO needed today in our culture of destructive fear surrounding us on all sides. But David said, "Though armies surround me, I will trust in You, Lord." Psalm 27:3 I am a 75 year old grandmother who separated herself from her family for 30 years. I didn't live in a cult, but I lived with another family in cultish proud thinking. I finally had to take ownership of the fact that I was not happy, yet supposed to be attracting others with my Christian joy. It wasn't happening. Due alone to the mercy of God, I turned away from all that and truly DID turn to trust God and learn that He loved me. He was not the Person I was deathly afraid of offending. I have been for three years now back with my family, learning more about how I erred, and tearfully grateful that all my family accepted me back. My story is long, unfinished, but being restored in the grace of a great, big, loving God in whom I feel safe. Now, I see others around me afraid, and I so want them to know they need not be. Thankyou for the encouragement to "be the sun".

I appreciate honesty and truth when it comes to God’s love for me. I have been able to release much of my control. I’m listening to so many positive podcasts and have been learning by watching people. I want God to be in control of my life. It makes each day and night more precious. Thank you both and blessings for you and your families.

Outstanding. It can be lonely in the middle - but, to quote Mrs. Malinowski, "What does it matter?" We will just keep trying to shine like the sun, not blow like the wind, and leave all fear behind. Excellent work. IF ONLY "certain people" would watch this. Haha. Love you folks and pray for you!

Thank you for this interview and for your ministry. There is so many people confused, freaking out and believing every conspiracy theory out there. As you said, "many of my friends" are on that boat and it can make for some uncomfortable conversations at times because they are so convinced that everything they hear/read is true but from now on I will just say "so what?" instead of trying to convince them otherwise. Blessings to you and your family!

I believe St. Francis was asked one day while gardening what he would do if the world were coming to an end and his response was he would just keep gardening.😊 Basically doing your daily duty/vocation, that’s what God wants.

Mt 7-21-23 points us all to what God wants us to do. His will. Mt 7:21, "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’ How could our Lord ne so cruel to those doing "powerful works" and 'in his name' at that? The answer was at there in v. 21, if you missed it: they weren't doing God's will, but their own. God's will for Christians in these last days is at Mt 24:14. Are you preaching God's Kingdom, or man's?

For me here are the missing points and question in this interview. What would do differently people and Ukraine and Gaza if they knew what was going to happen? Kany times it not a fear of being dead, but they way we could die, watching our childen dying, being enslaved in any kind of regime, prison or medical camp. How many of you can go through headache without ibuprofen? But imagine having any other grave pain and no medicine, no help? There was story posted about a mother running away from terrorists with 8 kids, without food and water, one of her small child died and she could bury her because no tools and hard ground. So she was forced to leave her child body behind knowing that it will be eaten by animals. I belive that American still live in delusion about the brutality of what can happend. I hear often advise to keep living life and not to worry about the news, only until my dears that you get direct hit from it, that makes you unable function. Just saying.....living in fear is bad but in ignorancy is also bad.

Thank you! I hear so much against the pope, against liberals, against our priests and on and on. Your words "if any of what they say is true, what are you going to do differently" bring peace . I have a good friend who believes such things. I have stressed over wondering if I need to convince her to change her view of if I need to change my view and find the bad in everyone. You say to trust in God alone and be the sun to the people in my life. I will do my best to follow that advice.

So honest question around the concept of “we hate in others what we hate in ourselves.” I think there’s truth to that, but maybe not in every case. I think it’s also that we’re so conditioned by society to fit certain norms and criteria or else we will be shamed and shunned, or canceled by society that people end up conforming just to be loved and accepted by their peers. And some of those things we hate in others, are things within ourselves that we fear judgment and shame for. It’s not up to society to judge others, it’s up to god. That doesn’t mean we can’t have rules and laws but there is so much pressure to conform to these new ideas or else you’re on the wrong side, which is so ridiculous and exhausting.

But to expand on my original point, there are things I am frustrated by the other side that I do not relate to within myself. But no one should be forcing their beliefs into others.

Hi Chris, Thank you so much for taking on this topic, because I think it is causing a lot of division in the Church and in families. Personally I don't understand hoarding food, because if my neighbor has no food, what should a Christian do with his food? The amount of time people spend investigating these things, which just make them angry and anxious, would be much better spent praying and living a joyful, grateful life, really trusting in God. .

I get your point, if whatever the theory, for example applying this to covid public health initiatives and global warming. Even if I'm not afraid to die given "death has no sting" because of Christ love and work on the cross. I'm commanded to love my neighbor, be 'salt and light' and so I need to respect that others, so IMO best to err on the side of wearing mask, getting vaccine and doing what in I can to protect the environment for the life of my neighbor, ESPECIALLY those who do not know God, because "…God our Savior… desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" and we don't know when Jesus will come again.

After seeing what humanity did in hoarding toilet paper during Covid, it's hard to imagine what they will do when food is in short supply. Point taken on not allowing prepping to go so far that you don't rely on God.

God does not have a plan for your life. Everyone has one goal and that is to pursue the plan of salvation. While pursuing salvation all decisions are your own, however, if you pray regularly or before making an important decision no matter how it unfolds, unsuccessfully or successfully, it is the 'right result,' It resulted how it should have resulted because you prayed over it. If it failed you should then ask the Holy Spirit to use the pain for His good purpose and move forward ever more faithful. The outcome that you hoped for may have been detrimental for you or someone else's salvation. Praying over your decisions does not let you off the hook to try your best but it does guide you to be at peace.
