That's certainly one way of looking at this angel of Hashem figure, but He's always closely connected to God Himself...almost like it's a theophany, a very manifestation of God, in a way that human beings can handle (without being consumed by death.) Zechariah 12:8, when talking about a future event says, "On that day the LORD will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be LIKE GOD, LIKE THE ANGEL OF THE LORD going before them. There's a book I've been meaning to get, that I'm told deals with this enigmatic figure and his relation to God. (Metatron? Jesus?) I believe it's called "Bodies of God "by Dr. Benjamin Sommer. According to Islam, mother Mary is from the lineage of Moses and Arun. She was not the actual sister, as this jewish rabbi correctly said there is a big age gap. In ancient Semitic usage, a person’s name was often linked with that of a renowned ancestor or founder of the tribal line. Thus, for instance, a man of the tribe of Banu Tamim was sometimes addressed as “son of Tamim” or “brother of Tamim.” Since Mary belonged to the priestly caste, and hence descended from Aaron, the brother of Moses, she was called a “sister of Aaron,” in the same way as her cousin Elizabeth, the wife of Zachariah, is spoken of in Luke 1:5 as one of “the daughters of Aaron.” Hope this clarifies there is no mistake in the islamic texts.

Is that why Torah was changed LOL. Fourth, the data shows that the rabbis have changed their interpretation of the Hebrew word “mashiah” because they have rejected Jesus Christ and want to avoid the appearance that Jesus fulfills this prophecy. But the ancient Jews who lived before the time of Jesus had a different understanding than the modern day rabbis. Rabbis today refuse to accept the historic understanding of the prophecy that existed before Christ was born, was crucified, and resurrected because they reject Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The truth is Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of Psalm 2:2; Daniel 9:24-26; and Micah 5:2.

The term “pharaoh” is not used to refer to someone before the New Kingdom Period. The ruler of Egypt during the time of Moses is referred to as “pharaoh”. The Quran is not a copy of the Torah. The Quran also affirms the authenticity of the Torah as a divine revelation. However, the Quran also contains verses that suggest that some of the laws and practices of the Torah have been abrogated or superseded by the Quran. For example, Quran 2:106 states that “We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it”. This verse has been interpreted by some scholars to mean that some of the laws and practices of the Torah have been replaced by the Quran.

@@jumbo9301 Do you think Moses received the instructions for how to perform the commandments in the torah? Yes or no? The torah gives no practical instructions on how to perform the commandments. The instructions and even how to write the torah scroll and how to read it acc to what punctuation, was and is all part of the oral torah. The talmud is a commentary of the mishna. The mishna is a abridged compilation of instructions on how to uphold the vague laws of the torah. As we are commanded in Deut 17 verses 10-13, we must, by God's instruction, listen to the torah sages and head judges that were in the Temple Court. All Jewish law today (except for 18 laws which the courts ruled like Shamai) go according to the head judge of the temple court Hillel the Elder, a century + before the 2nd temple was conquered etc. The talmud contains countless word for word teachings from the temple courts going back to the great assembly whom the prophets were part of at the beginning of the 2nd temple era. So, yes, the talmud has countless of things passed down directly from Moses as it clarifies "this is halacha from Moshe from Sinai". Seek truth.

Very true. The Torah and the 'New Testament' are not compatible at all. But Christians don't realise this as they only look at the specific verses in their Old Testament their Church tells them to and don't know anything about the rest. Crazy given that it constitutes two thirds of their Bible.

​@@Yehonatan613that's what you say. The talmud was a interpretation of God's law, which needs little. Gods law is clear and self explanatory and needs no interpretation on how to follow through with. The talmud is rabbinical work, man, not the word of God.

Joseph raised Jesus, fed him, looked after him and was his earthly father in everything except blood. The relationship is ritualistic rather than physical in the same sense as when Jesus said 'Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! Similarly, when John the Baptist saw the sign that identified Jesus he said, '“I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.”' Similarly Abraham's slaves are circumcised and enter the covenant. Similarly gentiles come into the covenant not from blood but from spirit.

Come on Rabbi, do a better job. You know that absolutely no Muslims consider Moses or Aaron to be literal uncles of Mary. It is figurative according to all interpretations. In fact, the bible refers to Mary , as the daughter of Aaron, yet people don't take that literally. The Quran refers to Mary, upon her be peace, as the “sister of Aaron” in reference to her descent from the lineage of the Prophet Aaron, upon him be peace. This type of reference is common in ancient Semitic languages and in the Bible. Allah said: يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste. Surah Maryam 19:28 The Christians at the time of the Prophet objected to this verse on the grounds that it was meant literally, but the Prophet answered their question. Mughira ibn Shu’ba reported: When I came to Najran, the Christian monks asked me, “You recite the verse: O sister of Aaron (19:28), whereas Moses was born long before Jesus by such-and-such years.” When I came back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I asked him about it and he said: إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُمْ Verily, they would name people with the names of prophets and righteous people who had gone before them. Ibn Kathir added: كما يقال للتميمي يا أخا تميم وللمضري يا أخا مضر This is like saying to somebody from the Tamimi tribe: O brother of at-Tamim, or to somebody from the al-Mudari tribe: O brother of Mudar. However there are several other people who were left out of the genealogy. Matthew 1:8 skips over Ahaziah, Athaliah, Jehoash, and Amaziah, two of whom were kings of Judah and all are well documented by other sources. Begat can also mean grandfather of and skipping unimportant generations is not uncommon in ancient genealogies. See Matthew 1:8 for a full discussion on why these four may have been left out. It may appear duplicitous to claim that there were fourteen generations, when in fact there were eighteen. This verse is not in error, as it is not a description of the actual genealogy, but simply of the list that was presented in the Gospel. The author of Matthew had good reason to drop the names he did and to skip unnecessary ancestors.The instructions in this verse are to aid in the memorization of Matthew's version of the genealogy, not the historical list of decedents. By tradition the first period from Abraham to David always had fourteen names, so the author of Matthew simply cut unneeded names from the other two sections to create an easily memorized triple structure. A transcriber skipping similar names in a list is a common error known as homoioteleuton.

Matthew's list of names refers to Joseph's lineage, (said to be relevant because he became the adopted father of Jesus.) It's not an exhaustive lineage (leaving out some "less important" names in order to fit into the "14 generations " listed. It's interesting to note that 14, 14 and 14 listed in Mathew,'s "generations" correspond to Dalet (4) Vav (6) and Dalet (4)--that's 14--and gives us the name David. Luke's genealogy of Jesus is believed to be from Mary. Together, they are believed to link Jesus directly to David and the royal line, and bring fulfillment to Genesis 3:15 (seed of the woman.) Even Christian scholars have agreed upon a non-conflicting reading of these two passages. 2 Chronicles was most likely referring to the dynasty age, not of Ahaziah himself. He came to rule in the 42nd year of the Omri dynasty

"The New Testament" is full of mistakes" what mistakes?🤔. He didn't show no one. Actually the New Testament has no mistakes and it is strongly supported by evidences from history and archeology. It is tge Hebrew Bible itself that says the messiah Will be God incarned and he Will be born of a virgin. That's not an invention of the New Testament. That's prophesied in the Hebrew Bible. Joseph. Joseph is not Jesus' biological father because Jesus does not have a biological father but he is the person God chose to be his adoptive father on Earth and raise him together with Mary. Christians do not try to link Jesus with David. The New Testament simply recounts Jesus' family tree to prove that he is the Messiah. There are different names because they are two different genealogies. Mary was also a descendant of David, not just Joseph The "first Christians" were jews. So stop saying nonsense.

Aaron, the brother of Mary, is not the same as Aaron, the brother of Moses; Because Moses and Aaron were between them during the time of Mary for a long time, so Aaron is the name of a brother of Mary other than Aaron, Moses’ brother.

The Creator Master of the Universe gave the Torah at mount sinai infront of millions of people, millions of 1st hand witnesses. The entire Torah is about the lives of the people recieving the Torah, it details all the miracles and plagues they saw with their own eyes in egypt, at mount sinai, and in the desert for 40 years. If even 1 person who recieved the torah would deny what is written in it, ie: that the claims in it were not accurate, then you would know its not a divine book. God doesn't come to millions of people and tell them they witnessed something that their eyes did not actually witness. The people receiving the Torah would say "excuse me, when did this plague happen? When did the ocean split? I didn't see any of this! Why are you telling me and this whole people that these things happened to us when they didn't" The fact that everyone who recieved the Torah verified everything written in it as factual about their own lives and what their (3 million + people) own eyes witnessed is a seal to its divine origin/truth. No one would make themselves look like a fool coming to millions of people telling them "God gave me this book and it's about you and what you experienced" when none of it happened etc. Who knows better than them what actually and really happened? No one. Jewish people have an unbroken chain back to mount sinai.

In islam you do not have such a thing. The koran isn't a book that depicts any miracles that happened to them, because nothing happened to them, there are 0 witnesses, just wishful belief in one man's claims "i was alone in the desert and the angel gabriel came and spoke to me" [even if it were true, (and it isn't), revelation of angels is not prophecy, read hebrew scripture, God speaking directly to a person, that's prophecy, many people encountered angels and were not prophets, just more and more confused terminoloy by muslims]. Are there any prophecies in the koran? Zero. Copying prophecies from Hebrew scriptures is not called prophecy, even a newspaper can copy prophecies from hebrew scriptures, it doesn't make the author of the newspaper a prophet nor the newspaper a holy script. Show one new prophecy, there's NONE. Why? If he was a prophet why not even one? Because mohammed knew of himself that he wasn't a prophet. If a person knew of himself to not actually be a prophet but wants to propose that he is and give a book, he would never take a risk of giving prophecies of future events at the expense of risking exposing his being a false prophet. Why take such a ego defeating risk? Instead mohammed took a sword and whomever didnt believe in his claims he.... 👏👏👏. That's not only how islam started, but its the same religion after 1400 years. Unlike islam which tries to make its "prophet" seem perfect, the Torah does not cover for anybody, it tells us the mistakes of even Moses, King Solomon and the entire Jewish people. And if the torah tells us about the event of Lot & his daughters it is to show among many things A] the impure beginnings of the nations Moav and Amon (nations which later caused a lot of trouble, moav specifically with immorality in Numbers 24 & 25), and B] to show us again as it showed us by Noach, how dangerous wine can be.

2] The book of genesis is the book of genetics, it tells us the genetics of the nations, of ishmael, of eisav, of moav and amon, and of Jacob and his descendants etc. We have manuscripts of the torah that predate the birth of jesus and other ancient scrolls too, the dead-sea scrolls and the masada scrolls, and its the same torah as we have today.

Everyone is from two lineages. The lineage recorded in Matthew goes through King David to Joseph, the husband of Mary. The lineage recorded in Luke goes through King David to Heli, the father of Mary.

But again, Joseph is not the father of Jesus so it wouldn't matter EVEN if King David was the father OF Joseph. And Mary is a woman, In the bible, rights are inherited by the biological father; Priesthood, Land, and tribe. All those things have to be inherited from the biological father, not an adopting father and not a woman. The only thing that the woman determines is whether her child will be a Jew or not. And if I'm not wrong, Luke doesn't mention in the first place the lineage of Mary, only of Joseph...

​@alaincartier8919 to be the messiah you have to fulfill every single prophecy. If you fulfill 99 percent and don't fulfill 1 percent, you're a false messiah. In the case of Jesus whom you call christ, he hasn't even come close to fulfilling 99 percent of the prophecies. Interesting that people who descend from pagans in Europe think they have more knowledge of a scripture that was given to a semitic group and kept with them for centuries. When Yeshayahu HaNavi describes the messianic age in chapter 2 vs 4 of his book you know it wasn't fulfilled during the time of your christ but becuase you love him so much you'll act like it did or come up with mental gymnastics as to why it didn't.

To all noachides Paul was the jesus creator, Paul along with Satan. God sent Yehoshua and the Satan went out with Paul of tarsus. The gospel simply sends us back to Abraham, then Moshe and the prophets. Judahism is not all God, it is 25% tanach and 75% your sages and rabbis, most of whom you never met. We don't even know if they were real. The other thing us that Judah never wrote the oral laws for thousands of years and then write it? How, how can anyone know anything the oral law conveys. they were authored multiple generations after the death of Jesus. More than likely, they were written by pro-Roman sympathizers or Roman officials. As the gospels get later and later chronologically, they become more anti-Jew and pro-Rome. The theology of the gospels also does not harmonize with the writings of Paul. They are just different theologically.

The stories in the Jewish Torah were passed down by word of mouth (relying on the memories of story tellers) for nearly 1000 years, before they were first written down during the Jewish Babylonian exile, and in fact they weren't canonized until the 2nd Century CE, which was around the same time the Christian Bible was being canonized. In this video the Rabbi seems to ridicule the Bible writers for having to write things down from memory, because of its unreliability. In reality the compiling of a canonized version Old Testament of the Bible, and the Jewish Torah were both going on around the same time, by writers who in some cases may have even known each other. It's hard to know for sure which version is historically correct, if either is. Some of the stories stretch back into the mist of time, and who knows for sure if they're completely accurate historically? The point of them is to teach us faith in and love for one God, and that the way we demonstrate that love through how we show love toward other people and all of God's creation. These things are taught in the Quran, the Bible, and the Torah. In this place of agreement we find why these stories have been told. The stories aren't meant to teach us how special and chosen the Jewish people are, they're meant to teach humanity the importance of humility before God, along with faith, justice, and love.

We know a New Covenant was prophesied to be given (Jeremiah 31:31-34). This New Covenant would have been given at some point after Judah returned from the Babylonian Exile (Jeremiah 50:1-5). The New Covenant would have provided atonement for the nation's sins (Ezekiel 16:59-63) after the Old Covenant was broken (Hosea 8:1, Jeremiah 11:10, Deuteronomy 31:16, 1 Kings 19:10). Rabbi Alexandri explains: if the Jewish people merit redemption, the Messiah will come on the clouds of Heaven. In the beginning EVE was 'inside' of man. Thus the virgin birth refers to the 'fruit' of a man's soul... a son IS the 'good fruit'. We need to think like this... ♂️ and not like this...♀️. This is the meaning of 'pick up your cross (♀️) and follow me (♂️). A 'son' of David is one who has a heart of courage and will ONLY obey God - anything else is 'sin' and results in self inflicted neglect, because God cannot break His promises and as such the law CANNOT be broken. You can try, and rebel, but then it - the law and sword - will break the one who is foolish enough to try. Thus, because of these promises, ALL are 'bound' to the effects of God's sovereignty and law... ALL. Some are serving obediently and recieve the promise of blessing, others rebel and recieve the promise of curse. God is NOT mocked. Why is this so hard for people to understand? ALL are serving and proving the promises of this double edge sword, the slave or the free, the Jew and the gentile. The prophets gave warnings... NOT weather forecasts... do as they commanded.

​@@secallenjoseph was jesus father BY LAW. This is his lineage to david, legally. But not biologically. But when God causes a miracle birth announced by an angel, that's much better than a seed line to david. Mary's seed line was the priests line. Jesus was the passover lamb. The symbol of the passover lamb personified. It follows exactly.

​@@deborahdean8867 Legally according to Roman law but not according to Jewish law. For Jesus to be the son of David through Joseph he had to be Joseph's biological son. But since your gospel of Luke has The Most High being intimate with Mary...

@@edwardmiessner6502 no it doesn't have God being 'intimate' with mary. And as to Jewish law, who is responsible for the minor children of his wife? Even if the children aren't biological, the husband of their mother is still responsible for them. Widows and widowers with children have as always teamed up family responsibility. The purpose of a immaculate conception is to nullify the sin component which entered the natural world after Adam and eve. the ' fallen nature' of the natural, material world.
