    I was raised by my parents in a way that they got the message across: Look, you are a person that can think on their own. You don’t need a man or another woman to decide that for you. You will learn to be strong and independent. People who hurt and use you aren’t worth it. Yes a man is build to have stronger muscles, but with training you can be just as strong or even stronger as a man that doesn’t train! You can be whoever you want to be. People who just want your body? Block them out of your life. If someone tries to touch you, you say no but they still won’t stop? Someone hurts or threatens you? Kick their a$$! Get away from them. They are not allowed to do that. Dress like you want to, not how someone else or society wants you too! Be who you want to be, not how others or how society want you too! If someone discriminates against someone, stand up to them

    It's not just one's superficial appearance that defies beauty but what makes your character and soul. If you lack the last two ones, the only thing left is maybe your physical attractiveness, but does that alone make you beautiful? I think not. And I guess we can all agree on that. That being said, leaves this statement as nothing more than a narcissistic DEMAND for something that has nothing to do with actual merit and therefore is just a naive but for this generation so typical expression of egocentrism. And to quote an important personality and not some irrelevant millennial actor who will be forgotten in 2 two years (I find this one very fitting to this comment and also to the whole narrative of the video): “Since narcissists deep down feel themselves to be faultless, it is inevitable that when they are in conflict with the world they will invariably perceive the conflict as the world’s fault.” - M. And to quote an important personality in this regard: “Since narcissists deep down feel themselves to be faultless, it is inevitable that when they are in conflict with the world they will invariably perceive the conflict as the world’s fault.” - M. Scott Peck This whole video is just a bunch of one-sided BS, portraying issues as exclusive to girls when it should be very obvious to everyone with empathy, that this is not the case and not how the real world works. Keep on talking about "f*ck boys" when women today are the most promiscuous the world has seen since the 70's and don't tell me this behavior doesn't hurt anyone (including men). Tinder makes it possible. You are all whiny hypocrites with very very serious narcissistic disorders!

Being promiscuous is not being self confident, it's the exact opposite! It's insecurity and a need for constant confirmation no matter if you are a woman or a man. If you can't see that, I pity you deeply. And to quote you: "even if women are promiscuous it doesn't give the excuse that they should be blamed for being sexualized" - so please tell me how do you not sexualize yourself if sex is your main intention? How do you not degrade yourself by living that way and how could you possibly believe that living a life of patching your emotional chaos caused by negative experience is some what not pathetic but actually empowering or empowered? It is pathetic and shows what a broken and irresponsible person you are - nothing else.

    To anyone saying that men have it hard too, yes. That's true. Everyone has their struggles. Even if the struggle is equal, do not speak over those who are trying to be heard. This is not a place to speak about the difficulties men face. Make your own video to talk about that if you want. The point is that it is wrong to use your own struggles to cover up or invalidate the struggles of another person.

  • @WeatherMondacicci

    This so much! If their issues were so important they actually would be making videos to talk about them and actually do educate some of those very much real issues. Instead they use these issues as a device to take the conversation away from the women's issues being discussed in order to take attention away from the women's discussion and place it on their own. They also use it to play the victim though they like to use that same accusation against women bringing up their grievances. Men have never been oppressed by women but by other men yet, they blame their issues on women and on so-called feminists. Men have been the dominant gender throughout all of human history and have wielded enough power and privilege, they made sure that women weren't given a chance to make their mark in this world. They are not interested in actually fighting for men's rights or even in spreading awareness of the issues surrounding men, they just want to silence women. Every wave of feminism, every new level of women gaining rights men have always been disdainful, angry, hateful, dismissive, etc in reaction to it because with that, their dominance and privilege is getting chipped away.

Because it’s not a clear cut issue of one being worse than the other, it’s impossible to gauge who would in fact have it “worse”. Thank you, that was wonderful. I've been thinking a lot about the question "what is a woman" which is often thrown by provocateurs as some kind of trump card to trans-woman because of the complicated interplay between physiology and the mind- makes it damn hard to get consistent answers across a population. This poem speaks to a more central question I've been asking people -"what does it mean to be treated as a woman"...which nearly everyone I speak to can answer. The response I get are so saddening- it is so often told through the lens of trauma and history. To be a woman seems to be, to take on the burden of the history of classical womenkind and its current day manifestation- to be treated terribly most of the time.

    I’ve started to hate being a woman and I don’t know how to stop it. I hate this sexual dimorphism that causes me to be physically weaker than most men no matter how much I try. I want to be strong so bad. I hate how that is the reason the patriarchy started in the first place. I hate how women’s achievements were belittled and overlooked, and the credit even taken by men. I hate how women are considered a liability in first responder fields and the military because EVERYTHING was built and made considering men. I hate how female athletes are sexualized by spectators and the media, and are not respected because they are not as strong as the male athletes even though they are just as skilled and hard working. I hate how life is so cruel that it makes men stronger than us so we can’t fight back in an endangering situation. I hate how men are considered the “default human” for things like vehicles and medicines so that the airbags are dangerous for women and the medicine doesn’t usually work as well. I hate how men are paid more and respected more in the workforce and can dedicate themselves to it completely while women are considered a liability because of pregnancy. Our own anatomy that we can’t control is considered a burden even though we are handling it well enough. I hate how a woman has to be extraordinary to be respected while a man doesn’t have to do much. I hate how we’re considered less smart even though women have been inventing and discovering and composing since the beginning of time yet it’s considered a male thing. I hate how the inherently male things like brute force, unhealthy handling of emotions and anger are accepted and even encouraged while things like crying and feeling pain are considered weak. I hate how most respected careers are male dominated. I hate how we are thought of as a sex ruled by emotion and are apparently incapable of thinking logically. I hate how the capabilities of male bodies are researched extensively while female bodies are just “weak”. I hate how the minute women are welcomed in a field, everybody is against it. I hate how hard we had to fight for our rights and we’re still fighting for it, but people consider it unnecessary. I hate how men think that we have to be protected all the time in this day and age when we’re just as capable. I hate how all the sports were by men and made for men, and there isn’t enough research on female body capabilities to create for women to excel in. I hate it all so much. I don’t want to be a man, but god I wish I had the physical advantages of one. I’m so sick and tired of us being pushed down because of our bodies.

    So according to that comment, it's like you realize you are sitting in the inferior mech, while men have a mech that is more suited to gain power and then can dictate the rules of mech society. So I would put it... And then understandably there is this moment of being devastated and giving up. To some degree, I feel like there is just no solution to this, maybe also because it is _just real_ and it's just what it is? On the other hand.... maybe very, very slowly, things can change a (very) little bit at least.... For instance at the university of Greifswald (Germany) there is currently a small workshop about sex and gender and their impact on medical treatment. It's initiated by two men... (I know, why do we have men here again... or maybe for the moment it is also useful) Also this field of study has recently been depicted in some public broadcast documentaries. Also I think there are many men that value the legacy of women (they just need to hear about them). E.g. about Sappho, Agustina de Aragón, Clara Schumann, Bertha Benz, Hedy Lamarr, Lise Meitner or Pema Chödrön. (At least to me it is important to find both men and women I can look up to.) It's true men deal with emotions differently... but also continuously will do so, since in mating women also find whiny men less attractive... and it's okay they feel that way, they are also looking for a strong partner. Men cannot always go the same paths as women and vice versa (here caused by sexual selection). -It's true, (as a man) I think that women fight for women rights is unnecessary. But with that comment, maybe it does slightly change me... if it is the truth in its own, standing for itself, then I as well should be able to come to that conclusion, because it is the truth- The fight for women rights in western countries can sometimes be on a very privileged level, while in other countries there is a serious, life-threatening level of inferior women rights (Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, South Sudan, Syria .....) Also, again Germany, but our first article of the law says: "The human dignity is inviolable. To esteem and protect it is quest of all authority." Actually, just when researching for this comment I found Clara Schumann. Nobody told me about her music... Anyway, that comment resonated more with me than the video above. I wish you all the best.

    With all due respect to the message of this video, I have to ask two questions. 1. This whole video gives the impression that this has only been happening for the last few decades. The reality, however, is the opposite objectification of women has never been so publicly condemned as in the 21st century. 2. The exact same thing happens in men when the opposite sex is expected to be muscular and tall. And this isn't just about humans, this is what every single mammal on this planet does. This is a simple natural selection in which an individual with strong genetics multiplies as much as possible and the one with weak genetics (it doesn't have to be just the physical one, it can even be a position in society) multiplies as little as possible. And before anyone gets angry, I'd like to remind you that "Life isn't fair" and I'm not particularly happy about that either.

    @Gabrielle Boucher What ? First of all, dear lady, I have never said in my life that this video is sexist or untrue. The same thing happens to men, but that was not the main idea. On the one hand, you complain about sexism, but on the other hand, when a man says that the same thing happens to men, he is suddenly bad? By the way, would you also write to a woman that she should not use comments to share her opinion 🤣? Shall I continue ? I literally wrote one sentence in which I mentioned that it happens to men as well, which was important to mention in the context of other sentences, and you start writing about how it is bad from me to say this and so on ... Like come on we are all human

  • @Project_2501

    @Project_2501

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@lordfm2189 The wage gap was very conclusively disproven and there is many videos on YT that show that very logically in detail. It applies for basically the whole western world - all on the base of the law. E.G. in the US it's the American Anti-Discrimination Law which was established already in the 80's and basically grants everybody the same payment for the same kind of job, in the same company, no matter your age, sex, health condition or color. Read it up - it's a google search away. Also it is often dependent on how you negotiate your salary. If you sell yourself under value because you are too scared to demand enough and therefore get a contract with less money than your male counterpart, it is not really to blame on men, but onto you own insecurity and lack of knowledge. Based on these laws, women in the whole western world could sue their employers if they'd get payed less and guess what - they would win. The fact that we don't hear from a massive wave of this kind of law suit, backed by feminist organizations which would grant the appropriate media presence of such a law suit wave is proof enough that there are actually no cases that would even qualify for a trial - meaning the wage gap does in fact NOT exist. And it's not an argument to say that the patriarchy would hinder that to go out to the press, because feminism and "wokeness" is average media topic no1 atm. Also very good evidence that there is no such thing as a "patriarchy" - Why would men who want to systematically oppress women even bother thinking about implementing such a law in the first place or get media to push this narrative so much. Don't you think they would have "shut the gates" for feminism already if they were so powerful and full of hate? It is just utter radical feminist nonsense that has nothing to do with reality or feminism itself. Modern feminists are a disgrace to the original cause, because they spread these blatant lies and hate everywhere they can. They are indeed the actual sexists who strafe for power, not equality, because in the western world - that goal has already been reached decades ago. If you are too blind and uneducated to see that and such a victim sheep that you need these radical insane people to feel included in life, then you deserve deep pity.

    Otto Van Bismarck psshhhhhhh no ones forcing the worst “sexist onto you” but I get why your called it if you vote for someone like trump. It’s not cause your a male, so don’t act discriminated against, it’s because you used your privilege to bring people down in society. You shouldn’t only be called sexist if you voted for trump, it makes you racist, homophobic, transphobic, because guess what? Your supporting someone who is those things, because your that too.
