That book is unauthentic. In the introduction of book, the author claims it to be abridged from an original version. It's not known if there ever was an authentic version, or it's just the claim of the author/ forger. If there was an original version, we don't have it.

@@element2138 the book is 100% authentic, Rav Menahem Casher and students of the Vilna Gaon and Rav Rivlin confirmed it, you should check before criticizing. Btw it’s an abridged version from the initial manuscript which was not intended to be printed since these were secrets teachings, and were around 700 pages long when Rabbi De Shklov Rivlin first hand wrote it from his Rabbi and cousin the GRA.

@@MrRitchie555 I did check it, that's how I know. Discussing authorship of a book, is not exactly what's called "criticizing" in a negative sense.

@@element2138 so check again because there was a controversy when the book was first printed, and some people said the book was unauthentic Then some great Rabbis who knew the esoteric teachings from the Vilna Gaon confirmed it was really authentic, even though only a part of the initial manuscript and handwritten copies

@@MrRitchie555 My friend, 1- "Secret teachings", were not a reason to prevent printing, or to abridge the book. There are numerous books full of "secret teachings" of the Gaon which were printed. His own writings, and those of his disciples. 2- This book and these teachings, were never mentioned before their appearance in print. There would have been knowledge among the disciples, about a handwritten book of "secret teachings". In several volumes of Yeshurun binaural publication, there are facsimiles from such handwritten books of the Gaon, several of which have never been printed. But nobody can track down a mention of this book, nevermind a manuscript. 3- There may be a paragraph or two, which are based on teachings of the Gaon or another great man, which inspired whoever you're quoting (without source) to think it's authentic. 4- There is modern Hebrew in this book! Modern Hebrew was BEGINNING to be formulated several generations AFTER the book was allegedly authored. This is the most decisive evidence that's it's a forgery.

Ron and Ariel are correct in translation. It refers to the creation. I.e. mankind. Meaning mankind is the other than God.

Have read of Shimshon being condemned for following his eyes as it were, yet given his fame and stature why would he even need to marry Delilah or consort with other women, unless his apparent lameness (and not his other habits) were the main issue on both his part and any potential Israelite partners.
