The true story behind the first cheater in Rocket League
Ойындар
The idea that there are no cheaters in Rocket League is a reassuring, if not naive thought. But just because it hasn’t happened before, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible - and there are other ways to manipulate, deceive, and otherwise cheat the Rocket League community...

Love the twist at the end, keep the cheater from being seen or heard, perfect way to limit the impact and not fall into the trap the cheater has laid. Same problem in Gran Turismo 7 and Sim Racing games, the ones who exploit/cheat/drive-dirty get into the videos of the big guys, which gives them notoriety and then encourages and emboldens them to continue their bad behaviour. Gotta break the chain, which is what you have done here masterfully. Great vid, great story. One of your best I think!
I am glad that you put the effort in to prevent the cheater from getting any attention with the name editing. Another good video Sunless, I always enjoy your content

This video really does a perfect job of explaining everything simply, I also like that you brought the 2 touch to light, which surprisingly nobody knows about. What was really keeping him from suspicion was how close his unaware friends and teammates were with him in general, but I think I should have been thinking something was up when he would almost exclusively play doubles with one teammate, who was probably one of the only people in on it. It was interesting to see how a single player could raise montage standards so sharply like that, and it was kinda demotivating seeing someone just fly away with the skill ceiling. There was a time where people kinda just didn't reverse cam or nocam on shots because it was boring compared to what he did.
I absolutely love these style of videos as if they were like a mini tv series on news networks or something

When you notice a lot of cheating throughout different games, you begin to see that, despite the lack of authenticity which is a problem in-and-of-itself, the consequence is that these things can then be more detectable in the future and stop this from happening so often/at all. That's the part I choose to focus on. I look forward to a brighter future in the RL community!
Great video. It's too bad that so often the "authentic" clips are actually hit on silver players because most of these guys tank their casual mmr. They might as well hit the clips on bots. Shoutout to Psyonix Devin for finally starting to do something about these guys. Smurfing is cheating too.

Here now is just the worst place to make this comment cuz it's about the good things of freestyling what's possible with it. Not to say you're wrong but it's not the right place for this here

@@acronix_racer_08 it’s more relevant than ever tbh, even though someone like Faith never inputted cheats and code changes through Bakkes, smurfing is still cheating clips, not to mention it ruins experiences for newer players

Love the video, very well put together. What was the song played during Chapter 2? Really enjoyed it!
Having seen another video on the guy, I know his name and was confused for a while; now I understand. You are so admirable, Sunless. Thank you for all you do for the community.
