The True Causes of Coral Bleaching

When discussing coral bleaching, the assumption these days immediately defaults to blaming mythical "climate change" instead of looking for the real cause.
There are many causes of bleaching, including changes in salinity, UV radiation, sedimentation, and pollution. Coral bleaching is a response to environmental stress, not just temperature fluctuation.
Studies have shown evidence of bleaching dating back centuries, long before any "claimed" influence on the weather was caused by humans. Coral has shown resilience and adaptability to different conditions and reefs have recovered from bleaching events for millennia.
It's time the climate carpetbaggers were called out for their selective pseudo-science that is designed to protect their taxpayer funding. It's time to recognise the resilience of our coral reefs and bring the tourists back to Queensland.

The Great Barrier Reef is in fact the healthiest it has been in more than thirty years. This is mainly due to the fact that there has been fewer cyclones since 2016 as well as more frequent culling of the crown of thorn starfish. The reef is more than two thousand kilometres long and has never at any time been entirely bleached. The spot bleaching that occurs has always occurred and the reef always recovers.

This morning I read an article form ‘The lonely Planet ‘ where some woman was criticizing the GBR and telling the world it was stuffed. She’s a new Open Water certified diver that spent a few days in one spot on the reef near Cairns. She then banged on about Belize. I’m a scuba instructor that has contacts from Adelaide to Cairns and from all reports the reef is doing well. There’s areas of bleaching and recovery and it appears cyclic. I have many Indo and Filipino friends that are surprised how alarmed Australians are at bleaching events as they consider these events to be a normal part of a reefs life cycle.

Not many people are aware that corals are very sensitive to the chemicals contained in sunscreen which causes the corals to expel their algae. Areas of bleaching observed just happen to be coincidental with areas visited extensively by sunscreen-slathered tourists.

He said bleaching can be a response to pollution like dumping. But not ‘climate change’. The ‘climate change’ liars say that the changes in temperature are catastrophic and new. Despite natural cyclical changes in temperature occurring over the span of thousands of years. The ‘climate change’ liars only look at a recent rise in temperature and not all the rises before that which lowered again. Previous rises that were hotter and happened before the Industrial Revolution and things like coal stations were even built.
